Initial impression— pleasantly surprised! Spacious«studio» with microwave, toaster(!), and frig more spacious than the normal tiny ones. Nostalgic décor when entering and throughout the resort and rooms. Quality hard wood furniture. Room has King size bed + pull out sofa so it would be okay for a family of four. Not so sure about 4 adults unless I get the bed. Wooden dining room table for four. All rooms are on the 10th — 18th floors so everyone gets a nice scenic view. Two negatives — the mandatory $ 5.75 valet fee daily with in/out privileges and two different places for the free continental breakfast. Pastries and fruit from 7 – 10AM in the lobby and hot beverages on the 7th floor(but«hep self» all day) which used to be the restaurant but is now the rec area — heated pool, hot tub and gym. But then how many timeshares gonna feed ya? Security seems to be good. Need key to enter at dusk. 24⁄7 desk clerk. River nearby as well as casinos. Can walk, gamble, and get drunk without getting in your car and killing someone on the way home. I look forward to a nice week.

The hotel is perfect for someone not interested in staying in a casino. The room is large, has a roomy table to eat or do work, plenty of lamps and lights, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, with such things as paper towels and pot holders to help you out if you decide to eat in. The hotel has an outdoor pool on the 7th floor, and a comfortable snack area with view and all day coffee and tea. The room has an enormous bowed window with 180 degree view. The staff is helpful and goes out of its way to do things for you.

We booked on Expedia, showed up after a 7 hour drive to find out they booked the second nights stay. The guy called his managers but no one called back. He kept muttering that there’s nothing he could do. So instead of giving us the room for the night and figuring out the rest the next day. We found a room for both nights at the silver legacy. Thankfully! This place is incompetent. I will never book a room here.

This place is classy. The staff was really polite and accomodating. The only negative is there is no self parking unless you park at a casino or on the street. They have attendant parking and the only issue I have is never knowing if I should tip or how much. But that’s my thing and I didn’t reflect that in my rating. The rooms were spacious. We had a nice(and entertaining) view which is amplified by the floor to ceiling windows. It really makes the room feel bigger. There was a microwave and toaster along with a fridge for your cold stuffs. It’s a short walk to the casinos and there are nice local restaurants and bars for your appetite. You can also walk to the river for a nice relaxing view. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is wonderful family friendly place that is a non casino environment. It is located in the heart of all the casinos and restaurants. It also has a wonderful indoor pool so weather is never a factor. I also love that the rooms are clean and spacious where the family or friends don’t trip over each other or bags. A great gem will be back again.

We had no idea what to expect when we booked this place. It’s great. Walking distance to Truckee River and parks, to downtown with all the restaurants and shops, to casinos, to church. We haven’t used our car since we arrived. The indoor pool area is excellent, the lobby is filled with beautiful antiques, the rooms are spacious with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and free wifi. Very impressed, we’ll be back.

Made last minute reservation and we were very pleased. The hotel is antique but not run down. everyone was pleasant and our room was clean and our bed soft. Complimentary juice & pastries in the morning. They have a game room and pool table. An in door pool which the kids enjoyed. They also had hot complimentary drinks on floor 7 all day.

This hotel is very quaint. It’s not very crowded so the indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice handouts. The gym is always empty, a few cardio machines and small but is fine if you need to workout. The river walk is steps away making for a great run in the mornings. high room is the way to go, nice view of the mountains. Employees are very friendly. $ 5.50 to park your car each day but it is secure. I would stay here again.

I travel a lot and in Reno or Las Vegas its always about keeping up with the Jones’s. Poor planning on my part landed me here for labor day weekend Its a 1980’s hotel filled with turn of the century antiques and I mean beautiful antiques. Its clean, well kept, the indoor pool is nice as well. The service was great. Its not on the beaten path but only a few blocks away. I would stay here again and again.

Older hotel within walking distance of the National Bowling Stadium. This resort is nice and clean with beautiful antiques throughout. The staff is always friendly and they go out of their way to help you.
