Don’t do business with these guys, Hunter was a complete jerk to me over buying a piece of framing equipment from me. It was a Fletcher 3000 glass cutter, advertised for $ 700, he was looking at driving a long way so he offered me $ 650, and we agreed on $ 675 as a compromise. He said he wanted us to both feel good about the sale, so I trusted the deal. He sent his business partner Les to pick it up, we agreed on 8pm however he arrived at 6:45. In order to accommodate this inconvenience, I called my partner to come down and help start the process of going over the deal and making sure everything was there. We discovered the mounting brackets were missing, and since it was my fault and I told him that it came with all parts, I took another $ 50 off the price since my partner and Les looked up the cost of having the mounting parts shipped and I was told over the phone it was around $ 50. So the final agreement we came to was that $ 625 was an agreeable price. When I arrived home at 8pm I found out that he gave my partner only $ 600, saying he didn’t have change and didn’t have time to get change, then left somewhat hastily, saying he needed to get going even though it was 8pm and that was the time we had originally agreed upon. This seemed fishy to me since the original price was $ 675 and why would you not have change or at least be willing to wait for me to get home to bring change? I contacted Hunter and said«hey, you said you wanted us both to feel good about this. We are hand to mouth right now and $ 25 may not seem like a lot but I feel like we got shorted; it is a lot to us right now.» He got back to me and basically said since the mounting brackets were missing that it was fair that they shorted me that extra $ 25. I explained to him that if a price is agreed upon, it is agreed upon, that’s final, unless you want to negotiate further, which neither Hunter or Les did when they had the chance. You do not get to complain about a price being unfair after the fact and rip people off because you failed to negotiate what you wanted! He did not get back to me for almost 24 hours so I sent another message letting him know I would write a review about my experience unless the remaining amount owed was rectified. He sent an extremely nasty message back accusing me of threatening his business and told me that what I said«just got me nowhere» and that«we were done here». Telling someone you will write a truthful review is not a threat, it just is what it is. I work for someone who has been a small business owner since 1983 and for good reason; they never treat their clients this way and would never rip someone off no matter the amount or reason. You agree on a deal, and that’s what you pay, or you can even back out, but ripping people off then responding nastily when they say«please rectify this or I will write a review on Unilocal»? Shady. This guy is a complete jerk, take your business somewhere else. I have screenshots of all our text messages back and forth, contact me if anyone would like to see what a jerk this guy really is.
