I wish this place was closer to my home or work. Great family owned business and a fun atmosphere.

This place is awesome! Service to the food was perfect. Janell helped out my party on short notice of 12 flawlessly. I wish this place was closer to San Diego!

Cute place we wanted to like. Friday late afternoon, it wasn’t that busy yet. We were seated quickly and our server showed up and acted as if she knew what she was doing. Our drinks came and she took our order. I ordered the grilled cheese which the menu said came with fries and a cup of soup. I asked for a house salad instead of soup. My husband ordered a wrap which also came with fries and he ordered a house salad as well. Our server said she would bring us some bread, she never did. Our food came and mine was just a cold grilled cheese sandwich with a house salad on the same plate, no fries. My husband had a wrap with a house salad on the same plate no fries. It was $ 28.68 for two ice teas, a cold grilled cheese, a wrap and some lettuce with dressing(no choice given on dressing). I don’t think we’ll try again and we really wanted to like it.

Drove a friend’s car to Reno from Las Vegas, and arrived here hangry and tired! My husband got the chicken wrap, I got the veggie wrap, and we split a Big Assed Salad; it was exactly what we wanted after a long day(along with a couple Blue Moons!) There was a wait for a table(busy Saturday night), so we sat at the bar and were helped quickly, very friendly service. Bar area was fun, loved the moose wearing the sombrero. The hostess even came over to see if we would be more comfortable in the dining room since some tables had become open, which I thought was nice. Walking distance from the Courtyard I usually stay at, so I’ll definitely go back for lunch sometime.

Good food at a good price. It’s not fine dining but the service and food keeps us coming back. This is always our last stop in Reno before we go home for 3 years now! Everything I’ve had here has been great. Grilled cheese, pasta’s, Turkey burger all delicious. I really like there dinner menu but the lunch menu is also good. If your looking for a nice affordable place to go to dinner whatever the occasion maybe be this is the place!

Our third bad experience with food! Low quality, no flavor prime rib! My boss told me that he changed his mind to have employees Christmas party there, I should have listened to him! But never again! Service was fine!

We went in here for a quick lunch the other day and haven’t been in a long time. It was so good! Had French fries and a house salad! My fave! And they had us in and out within an hour just like we needed to be. Thank you for a great lunch. Will be back very soon!

Come for Tuesday evening pasta night! JP and his crew certainly know how to serve a healthy portion of spaghetti and meatballs for an affordable price. Love supporting JP because he is one of Reno’s biggest community leaders through all his donations and contributions. Whatever JP dies he puts his heart and sole into it. I strongly recommend Pinocchio’s, 5 stars!

This is a Reno local favorite! Great menu, great service, great ambiance. Their peppercorn blue cheese dressing is excellent. Whether you have a salad, sandwich or pasta you won’t be disappointed.

One night after work last week, I stopped in to get an order of their chicken & mushroom lasagna. It was amazing & I’ve been craving it ever since. So, I called in another to-go order this afternoon and am extremely disappointed. It clearly was not freshly made. The chicken is really overcooked, the pasta is crunchy on the sides and super chewy on the bottom. Including the tip, I just paid $ 21 for dried up leftovers. That is not acceptable. so, I most likely will not be coming back. If I wanted bad lasagna, I’d make it myself for less.

I rarely make it in to Pinocchio’s, but after today I’m sure I’ll be visiting more often. The South Virginia location is much larger than their old restaurant on Moana Lane, but still manages to deliver the same charm. The eclectic décor, helpful staff, diverse menu, and overall vibe really amount to a lot of character. I’ve always had friendly and efficient service here, every single time. Their prices are reasonable, and the menu offers a wide variety ranging from soup, salad, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta and a children’s menu. They also have a large bar area with multiple TVs; I can imagine this being a really fun place to watch a baseball game while having a beer! We ordered the«big ass salad», grilled Mallory sandwich, and the veggie wrap with sweet potato fries. It was just after 2pm and there were only a few other tables occupied; our food was delivered quickly in less than fifteen minutes. The salad is truly«big ass»! It is served in a large glass bowl, loaded with toppings, and comes with house dressing– although you can request one of the four others available. The grilled Mallory is a fun take on the grilled cheese served on sourdough stacked high with mozzarella, swiss, cheddar, avocado, tomato, and onion. The sandwich is served with the soup of the day, which was clam chowder(not our favorite), so they gladly paired it with beer battered french fries instead. The veggie wrap was huge– stuffed with veggies, bleu cheese, oil and vinegar and wrapped in a warm wheat tortilla. I was excited to see the sweet potato fries were waffle cut; I don’t see that very often anymore! We all enjoyed our tasty lunch, friendly waitress, and sensible bill coming in around $ 10 each. We’ll be back!

I really like this Phocchios. I always like to try something different on the menu and I have yet to be disappointed. Some of my favorites include the Pasta Burbon Street which has a great cream sauce with a hint of spicy in it. I also love to sub with veggies so that I don’t eat all the carbs! There is also a really good sandwich called the Italian which has a heaping pile of meats, cheeses and veggies! They also have a great beer selection and i really enjoy drinking Lauganitas and they always have the seasonal on tap which has never been a bad beer! They never really have a wait which is something i look for in a company. i know being busy is great but i also hate to wait when i am hungry! The waiters are always very friendly and always make sure they have my order right and my drinks are full. They environment inside is really cool, they have fun signs, wine bottles and odd little things hanging around the place. If you want a fun experience with good food and beer, its a great place to relax and have a good time.

Easy choice — get the Big Ass Salad with cajun chicken every time. Seriously. Get it every time. It is delish — the right amount of goods, great chicken and the house dressing is just great. You’ll love it. That could be my entire review as it is all I ever do here and I eat here at least twice a month. I always sit in the bar area and I always get the BAS. The décor is Nevada fun. Lots of memorabilia and funny signs — makes the place feel homie. The service is good — the girls do a great job and are usually friendly. JP is usually grumpy but it works :) There are a ton of regulars in the lunch crowd. You can tell because everyone knows someone and people are waiving across the dining room constantly. It is a Reno lunch institution for sure. So, you can do lunch? How about happy hour on the patio? Great location, great drinks — would struggle to be better. Join me next time!

My mom and I recently had a chance to go on a lunch date, just the two of us. She’d been to Pinocchio’s before and wanted to try it again. It was a little later than the normal lunch crowd, maybe 2:00 or so. We got seated immediately; it wasn’t very busy. My mom went for the calamari sandwich. I chose the special which was an open faced prime rib sandwich with blue cheese and sauteed mushrooms and onions. My mom said her sandwich was pretty good but could have used a wedge of lemon to squeeze on it. She would have asked for one but the server never checked back on us. I did see that the chunks of calamari in there were enormous, and she gave me a bite of one and it was cooked to perfection. It almost seemed a shame to put them on a sandwich– they need to be served straight up with some marinara for dipping.(But then again, I think I’ve established my love of calamari by now, right?) My sandwich was only OK. I didn’t get to choose how I wanted my meat cooked and it came out much more well done than I usually go for. It was a very thick, large piece of meat though, for the price. So since it was more toward the medium-well level and I prefer the«get it near-ish to the flame» level, I did find it to be fairly dry. However, it was nicely seasoned and not very fatty. And the blue cheese, onions, and mushrooms did help some to cover the dryness. The fries were battered, crisp, and piping hot. I enjoyed the décor. Lots to look at. Looked like they had a really good wine selection. I would go back.

Can’t review the restaurant and bar. But I can tell you about their food and service for private parties. My office had their Christmas party there last week. There are a couple of different size room Available, we used a smaller one downstairs which was perfect for our group of 35. Pinocchio’s set up a buffet of two green salad(both very fresh and crisp lettuce), pasta & red sauce, meatballs, and an incredibly delicious white lasagna and rolls. There was a waitress available the entire time of our party to get drinks for us. Also a nice touch that they did a few Christmas decorations on the table. I need to go back sometime for more if that lasagna
