I only gave one star because it wouldn’t let me give zero… The receptionist is always extremely rude. I was told that I would receive a call back on several occasions, never got called back. I do not recommend going to a doctors office, where they don’t care about their patients… In fewer words. This office sucks.

I love how folks are quick to write a negative review for a business and yet that’s their only activity on Unilocal — one bad review. Unless the visit is extremely horrible, I try to wait until my second visit to write something truly terrible. I’ve been a patient of this office for nearly 5 years on the recommendation of a coworker. I don’t actually see Dr. Paiva, I see her practitioner, Leslie Pace. She is absolutely wonderful. She makes you feel so comfortable that you can talk to her about anything and she is always willing to explore options when you have a complaint.
For example, last year I went in for a persistent pain in my upper abdomen. I thought it was nothing but the boyfriend can be a nag at times. So in I went, and instead of throwing medication at it, she ordered testing. Long story short they found a suspicious mass that looked to be a tumor. I was referred to a specialist and had surgery less than 2 months later. Thank God, it turned out to not be dangerous but it was causing issues. I’ve never had a doctor or practitioner in the past take complaints to heart so much and be so willing to dig deeper to find the root cause.
I’m so grateful to have found her and have referred many of my friends, who also love her. I’ve never been this healthy and I have no intention of ever looking for another general Doctor. The front office is always great at scheduling appointments. They have an online portal to make checking in and making changes to your history easy so you don’t have to spend time filling out paperwork. My visits have always been on time and I never feel rushed.

Professional staff – front and back of office. Dr. Paiva was very thorough in explaining procedure to me. Didn’t rush thru my questions – patiently answered and addressed all my concerns. Office is extremely clean and staff is professional and kind. Highly recommend for internal medicine and for skin/​cosmetic procedures as well. She and her staff very obviously understand women’s needs and concerns. Will be back!

Front desk personnel was very unprofessional both in appearance and treatment. Nose ring and confrontation attitude is not what I expected from a educated Doctors office. Do not recommend.

I could not be happier that I found Dr. Paiva. She is literally a God send. Since moving to Reno 10 years ago, I’ve gone through two different primary care physicians. I never really like either of the ones I went to and I hated to wait to see them. Dr. Paiva’s office is different. Not only is Dr. Paiva amazing, but her staff is great too!
Dr. Paiva’s office is very modern. it feels a lot like a medical spa… very clean and calming. The office does not overbook… therefore, you don’t have to wait forever in the waiting room to see the doctor. They require that you are there on time so they don’t run behind… I know some people may complain about that, but I really like it. There’s noting worse than waiting in a waiting room when you’re on time!
Dr. Paiva takes time with you and is very thorough. She listened to all my concerns at our first appointment. She immediately ordered a panel of blood work and an ultrasound of my thyroid gland. She noticed that my gland was a bit swollen (no other doctor has ever mentioned that). After getting the blood work and ultrasound done, I met with her again. She thoroughly went over all my labs and gave me a treatment plan (and a re-​check of labs in 6 months). Unfortunately, she had to send me to a surgeon since the ultrasound detected a mass in my gland. I was a bit freaked out but she was amazing and gave me both the best case scenario and worst case scenario. I couldn’t recommend her more!
