Nik-N-Willies Pizza & Deli

First of all, I’m new to Reno and live in Souh Reno. Amazingly, Nik-N-Willie’s was easy to find. Because I often get pizzas to take home for dinner and reheat, I love the Take and Bake! I got ½ Nik-​and Willie’s minus the pepperoni and salami, and ½ garden veggie. When I baked it, the crust was perfect – thin and crispy on the bottom and nice puffy edges. I lIked the Nik-N-Willie’s side the best. The veggie was too veggie; besides Nik-N-Willie’s was like veggie, flavored with Italisn sausage and smoked ham.
The only strange thing was the cheese on the bottom. I’m sure that’s what made the bottom crust crispy, but the top seemed kind of loose (not held together). I don’t know what the solution is, but the pizza was mighty tasty.
Because I was there in the middle of the afternoon, it wasn’t packed. There was a family eating outside in a lovely desert setting. The gal who took my order and turned it over to me was extra friendly, and I was totally happy with my dealings with the restaurant.

We stopped by on our way back to Reno from Mt. Rose. Great pizza and service. Half Sierra and half Nik-​n-​Willies with pineapple was excellent. I had never tried pizza with honey, it was very interesting and was a good dipping sauce for the crust.

Always the same good quality pizza with fresh toppings and great service. Now our «go to» pizza stop as Blue Moon Pizza is terrible! Blue Moon could learn a lot about quality pizza and service from Nik-​N-​Willies!

This place rocks! A true mom and pops pizza joint. I love the owners sign that says something to the effect of — friends don’t let friends eat franchise pizza. the chicken dijon garlic is my favorite. The business owners give back to the community too.

This is a classic neighborhood pizza joint from the 60’s and 70’s. Video games in the corner (ok, video games are more 80s+ but you get the picture), good selection of beers in the refrigerator, and the usual condiment you’d want on a pizza (red pepper flakes, tabasco, etc). The staff was very friendly and the service was fast.
I like the take-​n-​bake idea, but I wouldn’t use it that much. Having a nice personal pizza made and cooked to order today was nice. The crust is thin, but not super thin, just the way I like it. They have fresh mushrooms, which compliments the pepperoni very well (soaks up the extra pepperoni grease, er, I mean flavor). I’ve ridden by this place many times going up to Virginia City. Now that I know what its all about, I’ll be stopping in a lot more.

Best pizza ever. Everything is good. The service is tip top! Dave the owner is great. Very friendly and loves to chat. Very approachable and loves feedback, good or bad. Again, best pizza ever. No one compares. «Well you know this one place I go to is good…» Bull shit. Nik N Willies is the spot.

I Just moved to this side of town and was happy to see that there is a Nik n Willies here! There was one in Gville so I kind of knew what to expect. (Even if its take in bake there only.) We picked up the pizza and wings so I couldn’t tell you much about the atmosphere inside, I stayed in the car. I will tell you this, the pizza smelled so delicious! Got home and the pizza was hot and fresh. Wings were so delicious! I’m very impressed! The prices are very appealing as well.
I will be returning!

The Devil’s Pizzapile is out of sight amazing! I was introduced to Nik-​N-​Willies through a raffle at Pleasant Valley Elementary School, I look forward to eating here again!

This place has the best pizza in the Reno Sparks area hands down. It’s been a fixture in South Reno for as long as I can remember, they have a friendly helpful staff. The pizza, salads, and sandwiches are great. There are a lot of options for pizza in South Reno however they are simply the best!

Good pizza in the south part of Reno. Very clean facility, organized and the pizza can be baked or you can take it home and bake at your convenience. Always really good and glad we have a pizza parlor in south Reno!

I took my family of four to Nik and Willys on a Tuesday to check out the buffet and what a great place to grab some pizza. The pizza was great and they also serve salad and wings with the buffet. They will also make a pizza for you to put down at the buffet if you want something that is not there already. This place has a small local feel that is awesome, I will be back!

As an ex-​New Yorker I can honestly say that the pizza was as good as any I’ve ever had before. The chicken Dijon was fantastic. The pepperoni wasn’t too salty like others in Reno. May not be able to go anywhere else.

I used the Unilocal offer for $ 20 for $ 12 and got myself an XL pepperoni. No I wasn’t going to eat the whole thing myself!
The pizza was fine. It didn’t amaze, but pizza is pizza and it’s hard to really make it bad. It’s like a burrito. There’s really no such thing as a bad burrito. There are good burritos and there are «I would do anything to put that burrito in my stomach right now» burritos. But I digress… I’d put it above a Papa John’s but not by a whole lot. But for the $ 12 it was a good value. If it were $ 20 I’m not so sure I’d have a 4 star review.
Staff was all very friendly on pickup. I would be tempted to do the pizza buffet night on Tue/​Wed with the family.

What a fabulous little place! If you are coming home from Virginia city, and need something. To eat… STOP HERE!!! Pizza is awesome! The garlic bread is fabulous! They sell pizza by the slice so it’s super easy to grab a quick bite. Or take a pizza home for dinner! Staff is friendly and competent.

Friends had told me (years ago, yikes!) that Nik N Willies had excellent pizza. I guess it’s a testament to the yummy that years later they are still in business…
In teh last 6 months I have been there 3 times and I have yet to be disappointed. The first two times I ordered the same thing (it was that good!) the Spinach & Feta pizza. Delicious!!! The garlic, the spinach, even more garlic. Just really, really good pizza. These people know their business.
Yesterday I changed it up and ordered a single person calzone with mushrooms, olives, and tomato. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted it cooked there or take and bake? Shut the front door! I can cook this in my own oven? Well allright! That’s what I did. It was tasty in the way that I cooked it myself and the bottom was a smidge on the doughy side-​tasty. Next time I will opt for them to cook it and be smart enough to call ahead.
Totally going back to this place. Dare I say it’s in the top 5 pizza places in Reno.

Pizza was very good, had a margarita pizza that we added pepperoni to. Also got cheesy garlic bread that was hot and tasty. We stayed to eat and the pizza came out very quickly and very hot. The people working were extremely friendly, a very small business, hometown feel. Would definitely come back again on our next trip to Reno/​Tahoe.

We were on the hunt for a new place to eat and knew we wanted pizza and we found this on Unilocal and decided to give it a go and we are so pleased we did! The service is first class, the food is great! We had the pizza with white sauce… which I highly recommend.. It’s not a fancy place, it’s a comfortable space. Support your local businesses starting with this one. We will be back.

I wanted some pizza… but I was looking outside the box. We found this local pizzeria and well, we love supporting places like this. It was a buffet night but we really just wanted to call ahead and take a pie to go. We ended up ordering a ½ garlic chicken extreme, ½ combo with anchovies. We also picked up an order of wings. Prior to arriving, we bought a Unilocal deal which saved us a few bucks.
When we walked in, the place was super packed. I glanced over at the buffet area right next to the register and saw 2 pizzas, salad, and a warmer full of wings.
Anyhoo, we went to the register, gave them our Unilocal deal, paid, and were on our way. Everyone behind the counter were working quickly to pump out pizzas.
The pizza itself was just ok. It looked and tasted like a pizza from Round Table. The crust was thin, very similar. The toppings also reminded me of the same. There just wasn’t any wow factor. Oh, they also put so many large anchovies on the pizza, it took away from the rest of the toppings. There were more anchovies than any other meat. I ended up taking most of them off.
If you order take and bake, they’ll knock off a couple of bucks. I think I will try that next time. I’m all about supporting local places. I’m looking forward to going back and hopefully updating my review for the better.

Got take and bake on the way hurrying up the hill to get to the bus stop for my kid coming home from school. They dropped what they were doing to get me out the door quickly.
The pizza is the best take and bake I’ve ever had! The crust rose nicely and browned up perfectly.
Can’t wait to go back!!!
Also we took advantage of their daily special. What a deal!!!

Absolutely amazing. Such a cute little pizzeria, everything is locally sourced and soooo flavorful. Was welcomed as soon as we walked in and felt very at home and comfortable.
This my number one pick when I want pizza! Do yourself a favor and check it out!
