New Faces Cabinetry

Doors and drawers are all falling apart after 2 years of use. We had remodeled a 1978 kitchen and had them redesign pantry and opening for ovens, etc. Every seam in every cabinet is peeling and coming apart. The doors under the sink are completely ruined. When we asked about warranty or replacement for this, we were told that «that’s just what painted wood does.» Nice. No other explanation. And when we ordered, we certainly were not told that our decision was a bad one, nor were we even concerned about the cost at the time. My husband and I both viewed this as a one-​time, do-​it-​right thing. This is a kitchen and as a small family, we do, in fact, DO THE DISHES at our sink. This does not explain the peeling of all paint around the entire kitchen. I have seen my friend’s kitchens. They all have «painted wood» cabinets. No one has this issue. Nor does it explain an entire seam on the side never having been painted, as well as a rough plywood left under my counter (fair warning to anyone who wears any kind of nice material on their bottom-​half at my counter, it WILL be snagged). While we did run into significant trouble with our counter top choice and installation as well, my issues lay with the fact that the cabinets are terrible. I actually feel worse about them than I did the original, nasty 1978 cabinets. At least they were not falling apart. I would never recommend this company. I have had two other cabinetry contractors in to assess. They both said that this should not have happened and that proper paints/​finishes were not used.

They were able to come out to custom match a finish that we already had on the property so the cabinets matched the rest of the trim in the building. The pricing was better then most of the other quotes we got, but more then anything I felt confident with the knowledge, references, and work history that they had. We even needed a slight alteration on the cabinets after they were installed and they came down and made the adjustments in a very timely manner.
A friend of mine also had them remodel their kitchen and the results were stunning. The custom counter tops and cabinet work were excellent.
I highly recommend their services to anyone who needs custom cabinets.
