My Favorite Muffin & Bagel Cafe

Very friendly service and I was impressed with the food. So many different options to choose from. Many different bagels and cream cheeses as well as muffins. I also love the smoothies. I wish there was one closer to my house in South Reno. I would definitely go there more often.

I was in serious need of COFFEE, this looked good on Unilocal,was close by and had a coupon for a super size muffin.
I ordered the turtle mocha in large & the double chocolate chip chocolate homemade muffin. The coffee flavor was perfect! –feeling better immediately, I tried the homemade muffin which was very moist & chocolatly, excellent choice for my lunch.

Horrible service. 1^st time here. Last time here. 20 mins for worst chai latte ever, and 15 mins for an apple pie bagel that tastes like garlic.

Great food here and the friendliest service people around! The muffins are really baked just right with a wide variety to choose from. Many have cream cheese filling which are my favorites. It’s a kind of small place in a mall that is older. But the parking is ample and a close walk inside. It’s worth checking out.

My boyfriend and I came here early on a Saturday morning, there was only one other guest in the little muffin shop, so not busy at all.
I ordered what I believe they called «The Power Scramble», if that’s not the name it’s basically a bagel sandwich that has egg whites, turkey sausage, and a tomato in it. We ordered Togo as we had a bunch of errands to run before I had to go to work that morning. As I unwrapped my bagel sandwich and took the first bite I discovered that they forgot to put the tomato inside… REALLY? There are 3 ingredients inside of this sandwich and the girl working there forgot to include the one that offers it a little moisture. So I was left with a dry, bland egg white and turkey sausage sandwich.
I was so disappointed because I LOVE tomatoes that we actually went back to our apartment just so I could cut up a tomato and put it inside of my sandwich.
Maybe management should have photos up for their employees to remember which ingredients are included on each sandwich? Just saying…

Had the breakfast BLT on a jalapeño cheese bagel! The cream cheese makes it! Got a free cherry cheesecake muffin as well from checking in on Unilocal!Staff was friendly & helpful. This place has won me over & I will be back

I love My Favorite Muffin, on California Ave., and this was my first time going to the Plumb Lane location on Sunday morning. I was sorely disappointed between the difference of the locations. I felt like I was inconveniencing the employees by being there– which is the exact opposite of any experience I have had at the California Ave location. Bagel was good, but now I won’t be going back.

Very disappointed:(if you want to eat breakfast here in the morning, plan on waiting a very long time for service. I waited as the 2^nd person in line for 15 minutes, only to have my bagel sit on the cooling rack while she was trying to service another customer. I guess the most frustrating part, was that the customer whom she was helping had only been waiting a couple of minutes. I’m glad I hadn’t had the opportunity to pay, because I unfortunately had to leave to avoid being late for an appointment. I love the bagels at My Favorite Muffin, so I guess I will just stick with the location on California ave. Much better service.

EHHH, this place is whatever. The staff was super friendly, but I had a cinnamon type muffin and it was pretty basic and bland. I probably won’t be back but glad I tried it i guess!

Just so-​so for me. Had a very bland and dry muffin from here — the cinnamon crumb cake type muffin. I ate the top and threw the rest out. Customer service was good, but product for me was not. No offer to even warm the product upon purchase. Didn’t enjoy so I wont be back.

This is a great alternative to a fast food breakfast on those mornings where you just don’t seem to have the time to eat before you leave the house. I love the Southern Tradition bagel sandwich with ham (you can get bacon or sausage too). It’s just scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese on your choice of bagel. At this location, this sandwich is the special of the day for $ 3.99 with a coffee. Not a bad deal at all!

Yummy food with lots of choices, mostly good for breakfast. They have consistent toppings that are evenly spread on all their bagels and fresh bagels each day. Happy customer!

I am super bummed with my experience, especially after reading all of the positive reviews. I went in this afternoon for the first time and got two muffins and a blueberry scone. I asked the girl who was working for a suggestion between a few baked goods and her response was idk just buy everything. So I bought all three. Both muffins were dry (even after being heated up). I’m a big fan of scones and I was really disappointed. It tasted like a big plain biscuit. I think someone forgot to put in the «artificial blueberry». I let two other people try it without telling them what it was and they both said it tasted like plain bread. Besides the lack of flavor, it just didn’t have the texture of a scone. Won’t be back anytime soon unfortunately.

This is a small spot in a crappy mall. But the muffins and bagel sandwiches are awesome and worth the trip! Hint: Check-​in on Unilocal and get a free muffin with any purchase. We opted for a cranberry cheesecake muffin. So yum! And also got a BLT bagel sandwich — your choice of bagel and cream cheese. We opted for the cheddar herb bagel with cheddar jalapeño cream cheese. Best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had! BLT on a bagel? Yes, please! They have a lengthy list of bagels and cream cheeses to choose from. And several sandwich options. The service was lacking. But, whatever, it’s just a counter order place. This spot will definitely satisfy your breakfast needs!

My husband and I stopped by for a mid-​afternoon snack yesterday. We had blended, iced coffees and those were very good. I had the java chip and he had the caramel. They only come in one size apparently which is kind of lame, we would have both gone for a larger size.
We shared a berry muffin and it was also good. Nice and moist, with a good cinnamon-​clove spice. Could maybe have used more berries.
The location isn’t super, that Shoppers Square place has gotten pretty skeezy. The restaurant itself could have been cleaner. We were the only customers and there were more dirty tables than clean.

I absolutely love the My Favorite Muffin on Vista, so I decided to try out this one and see how it compared. It’s admit a bunch of stores, in Shopper’s Square, on Plumb. The outside is deceiving. It looks shabby and unappealing to the eye, but when you walk through the door, it’s clean and rather cozy. I liked their décor;they had some cute signs up and the colors, around the café, we’re lovely. The location isn’t the best though. It’s wedged in a small corner of the shopping center. There were more than a couple people in there, when we went, and it really Drew your attention to how small the area was. Plus, it was boiling hot in there. The customer service was wonderful. They helped us out almost immediately and since we were taking our order to go, they got us in and out quickly. My husband and I split the Cherry cheesecake and Funky Monkey Banana Business (a peanut butter, Chocolate, and banana nut Muffin.) They were both tasty and moist, but didn’t taste that fresh. It tasted like the heat, from the café, got to them. They were warm, and not in a freshly baked way, and sort of melting. It was still a decent experience, overall!

Been here several times and have always had good service. Their coffee and muffins are fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of both. They also offer breakfast sandwiches which are made to order and are really tasty. If you like muffins, get here and try one!
They are also at the top of my list because it has easy access from Plumb ln.

Came in for a quick bite to eat in between my morning hike and morning meeting. I love classic blueberry muffins, but opted to go with something different this time. I picked out the funky monkey chocolate banana muffin. I’m a choco-​holic at heart, so I couldn’t resist the temptation. The gal behind the counter was friendly as she took care of my take out request. The muffin was moist, full of flavor, and went very well with my coffee that I brought in my contigo. It’s not a place that I frequent only because I’m trying to cut back on my carb intake, but it is one local joint that I would definitely recommend to others.
