My Stylist is Jeannie James. She always does a great job no matter what I’m getting, be it s cut, color or hair style. I always have her do my hair for special events. She’s done my up dos, pin-​up hair for an Sailor Jerry event I had. Also she gave me an awesome hairstyle for a prohibition party.
I usually see her for highlights, but lately we’ve been getting funky with some loud Pravana colors. Super fun. This is a really cute, small salon that makes you feel welcome, not rushed. All the stylists are very nice and very knowledgable.

Jeannie at midtown fringe always know how to make me look awesome. i have been seeing Jeannie now for a long long time. Every time i come in she knows exactly what i like and is not afraid to tell me how i look if i decide to go away from my normal look (haha) if you are needing a new style go and see Jeannie and get stylin… have questions PM me! thanks guys

Oh my, I’m in love with this place and I never even knew ot existed. One reason I love Reno is its hidden gems, and this is certainly a prime example.
I’ve been going to Jeannie James, hair stylist extraordinaire, for three and a half years now, and she never disappoints. She is absolutely brilliant at color and my hair is always healthier after seeing her. (Which, when you’re having bleach applied, seems impossible.)
She recently changed venues, and I never realized how much the salon itself can affect the experience. Midtown Fringe is vintage/​modern fusion, with absolutely no trace of pretentiousness at all. It’s homey and comfortable and RELAXING.
Jeannie is the best, but her new styling home is the cherry on the already perfect cake.
Mickey, the owner, was a total sweetheart, and I saw one of his clients leaving, and was super impressed by his work as well. (Don’t worry, Jeannie, I’ll never stray!)
Fair prices for extraordinary work, and an awesome salon with down to earth stylists. I’m so happy, I could hold up a sign with their praise on the corner. (Thank goodness for Unilocal,so I don’t have to stand in the sun all day.) But, I totally would, jusy saying…
