LASIK of Nevada

Initially, my husband Matt and I went in for consultations. We have wore contacts and glasses ever since we were both young children. We have been talking about getting LASIK for years, but finally made an appointment.
I chose LASIK of Nevada because I’ve heard nothing but GREAT things, and the advertisements in the radio.
When we went in for our consults, our eyes were measured and tested, procedures for the surgery were explained in great detail, and financials covered. I had several questions for Regina the office manager, which she went above and beyond to explain.
Dr. Rothman was wonderful! He came during our consult to answer my questions to the fullest extent. Gave me some background about himself, and spent time until I was completely comfortable about what was going to be done. I was impressed when he walked in and sat down to answer my questions. You could tell he had just finished someone’s surgery, but he didn’t seem rushed. You could tell it was important for him to interact with us and explain what he would be doing in detail. From this point on I felt comfortable in his hands.
We scheduled the surgery for me and my husband one week apart so we could take care of one another.
I went first. When I arrived on the Friday to do the surgery I felt completely calm, collected, and comfortable. I was in a group of 5 people. They have you pick up prescription eye drops the night before and a prescription for Valium (if you want it). Dr. Rothman goes over your chart with you and what to expect. There were no surprises, and everything went exactly as he said it would. My surgery from start to finish was less than 10 minutes. It seemed like 2 minutes to me, very quick! It wasn’t painful or scary, just straight forward, he will calmly talk you through each step.
Afterwards, they give you sunglasses, and more numbing drops and send you home to sleep!
The next morning you come back to have a post op check with Dr Rothman. He took a quick look, I did an eye test reading aloud letters. I have ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision!!! My prescription previously was –7.5 which was terrible!
I highly recommend Dr. Rothman and his entire staff. Great customer service, great results! If you haven’t gotten a consultation but have been thinking about having LASIK done forger like me, go here! You won’t regret it!

Dr Rothman is awesome, and has changed my life.
My wife and I both went in for consultations to see if we were candidates for Lasik. Dr Rothman came highly recommended from friends, family, and co workers.
During the consultation, dr rothmans staff was friendly and efficient with all of the pre-​testing they must do to determine the thickness of your cornea, and your prescription.
Luckily for us, both my wife and I were great candidates to get lasik! We went over prices, and details of the procedure, then scheduled the appointments. We decided to do the procedures a week apart so we could drive each other after eye dilation etc.
I have astigmatism, so I had to be out of my contacts for 14 days before I could have my surgery. My wife only had to be out of hers for 5 so she went first. She had great results! The next day she was ²⁰⁄₁₅!
The week after it was my turn. I took some Valium prescribed to me to help calm my nerves. My procedure only took about 10 minutes. Then I was sent home to sleep. The next day I returned and had ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision!
I recommend Dr Rothman, I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Dr. Rothman and his staff are wonderful. From the first appointment until the last I was treated with care and respect. They are wonderful and I have never regretted my decision to undergo Lasik from Dr. Rothman. I have recommended them many times since my procedure and will do so in the future.

Unfortunately, I spoke way too early when I left this last review as I didn’t know the nightmare that was about to come. I now have double vision in one eye caused by mass cell buildup that was seen on all my post opp visits. At my last LASIK of Nevada appt, my follow up Dr. wouldn’t come out of the back room to talk to me and I was just told by the nurse to go see a specialist but they wouldn’t write me the referral. I thought that was odd. I am now spending a ton of money seeing specialists to get this corrected but so far it seems permanent. I would do anything to be back in my glasses.
On the plus side, the team of women at LASIK of Nevada are amazing and they were so kind throughout all of this. I am super bummed that LASIK was not for me and I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone because it’s not worth the risk. :(

Best money I ever spent, This is well worth the investment. Woke up the next day and went from legally blind without lenses to 20 – 15 vision. 10 months later and I am 100% satisfied.
Update I love the money I spent for this surgery, I swear to you it is worth every single penny.

It has been two weeks since my LASIK procedure with Dr. Rothman at LASIK of Nevada. I could not be happier with the results.
I had thought about getting LASIK surgery for years. I had always wanted it because my vision was pretty weak. I had worn glasses or contacts since I was 10 years old. However, I knew I had astigmatism in one eye and I didn’t think I would be a candidate. One night I was at home near the computer when I heard a commercial for LASIK and finally went to their site to check things out. I received the brochure outlining the myths about LASIK which answered many of my questions. I scheduled a consultation at the office for the following week and found I was a great candidate for the procedure. I was able to schedule my LASIK for about 10 days later. The most difficult thing about the whole process was wearing my glasses in public for the week leading up to my surgery!
Everything went very well with my surgery. I went home after the procedure and took a 3 – 4 hour nap, as they advised. I didn’t experience any real pain. Yet, my eyes teared as if I was cutting onions, which was to be expected. I had my surgery at 3:30. My kids came home about 7:30 p.m. that night and I woke up long enough to visit with them a little bit. Already I could tell that my vision was better. The next morning I went in for my follow-​up appointment. I drove myself there and my eye exam revealed that my vision was better than ²⁰⁄₂₀.
The staff at Dr. Rothman’s office is very friendly and eager to help. I had called in a couple of days after my procedure because I had some questions about how my eyes were healing. Everyone I spoke with was very understanding and eager to answer my questions. I am sure they get phone calls like mine all day long from recent patients, but they treated me very well!
When I think about the money I spent on glasses and contacts over the last two decades I kick myself, because I could have had LASIK surgery and still saved money! I encourage anyone who is thinking about getting LASIK to at least go in, have a consultation and learn more about the procedure. I wish I had checked out my questions sooner and had the procedure years ago.

I’ve thought about lasik eye surgery for quite a while. I decided to see if I would be an ideal candidate and from start to finish, the entire staff was friendly and professional. There were no «high pressure sales» tactics and extra charges after the first discussion.
The staff was particularly warm and informative and they walk you through the entire process. It only took a few minutes and after my post op appt the next morning …20÷20!
There are finance options, too. This made it easy to finally say yes and treat myself (but honestly save money in the long run without frustration of glasses or contacts in the years to come.

I’ve been looking to get LASIK done for quite some time and I am so glad I was able to get my procedure done this summer with Dr. Rothman. I knew I was in good hands when I first walked into the office for my consultation. I was able to get all the information I needed and see first hand the staff commitment for patient care and quality. The staff was also very nice when I approach them for rescheduling my surgery day, without any hassle. As a patient I felt that I was in good hands.
Lasik of Nevada gave me multiple pricing option for the same procedure and allowed me to choose the best option for myself, without any pressure. I financed the procedure with no interest for 2 years! It made the procedure very affordable!
The day of my surgery I was nervous, but meeting Dr. Rothman and going over procedure and recovery process with him helped tremendously. The procedure was painless and relatively quick. Dr. Rothman was able work on both my eyes in under 10 minutes. The procedure was very relaxed overall. Following the procedure, I slept through the day and followed strict post op care. The next morning I drove myself to post op appointment and was happy to found that I have ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision! I was excited to be glasses, and contact lens free!
My recovery to a better vision was smooth without any side effect (blurriness, itchiness, halo, etc.). I could not have asked for a better LASIK experience and now almost two weeks after the procedure, my eyes feel 100% normal with occasional dry eyes, which is expected. Now, I have been telling friends and family how easy and affordable LASIK is with Dr. Rothman and encourage them to consider it.

Undoubtedly one of the best experiences of my life!!! Before going in, the biggest fear I harbored was that my eyesight would be so bad it couldn’t be corrected with LASIK. Fortunately, after having my FREE consultation, that was found to be no problem at all. Nothing else could hold me back from scheduling asap! The price was far better than I could have hoped, and no question/​concern went unanswered in advance. On surgery day, all instructions were clearly laid out as well as what to expect during and after procedure. Dr. Rothman was so thorough and walked me through the entire process as it went on in the O.R. I felt completely at ease and was pleasantly surprised to experience NO pain at all during the surgery. I’ve been careful to follow the post-​care instructions explicitly and now can’t tell enough people about it since. I even drove myself into the office the very next day & it was discovered my vision next day was ²⁰⁄₁₅! Being 29yrs old & having been completely dependent on glasses for 25 years, I can say this has been absolutely life-​changing. Don’t wait a day longer!!!

This place is amazing! The girls in the front are kind and welcoming, it’s a warm, clean office and Dr. Rothman is gentle and comforting. My anxiety was super high as I have an issue with anything touching my eyes. They were super patient with me and the procedure itself was fast and efficient! I went from a «count fingers» (my eyesight was worse than the highest number ²⁰⁄₄₀₀ to which they call count fingers) to a now ²⁰⁄₁₅ eyesight!!! If you’re thinking about getting LASIK, LASIK of Nevada is the place to go! Such an amazing experience!

I kept hearing commercials for Lasik of Nevada all over the radio. I decided to check them out due to their popularity (also had several acquaintances report positive experiences). They were extremely friendly and were very comfortable answering all of my questions.
Despite my regular optometrist warning me against lasik, I decided to get another opinion on whether I was a good candidate. I am so glad that I did!
The day of the surgery, I was very nervous. (They give you something for that.) The surgery really only lasts shorter than 15 minutes. I didn’t believe everyone when they said there wouldn’t be pain during surgery– but, there really wasn’t any! I went home and slept the afternoon away. I then woke up with great vision.
I do want to warn that you will NOT be up and running at 100% the next day. My vision went in and out of being blurry for a couple of days. It’s been 2 weeks and I still have dry eyes for the most part, but they warn you about this. Overall, I’m glad I did it.

Truly a great experience. I admit I was scared, even as a healthcare professional, but Dr. Rothman and his excellent staff made me comfortable and took great care of me and best of all, I can see! ²⁰⁄₁₅!!!

After years of putting it off, i called lasik of nv and scheduled my FREE consultation. I was impressed. All the girls in the office eye incredibly friendly. All my questions were answered! By the end of the consultation my financing was set and so was my appt! Just over a week later i am seeing ²⁰⁄₁₅. Dr. Rothman was great. Handled my nerves and twitchy behavior like a true professional. Took time to discuss everything with me. If you have been contemplating lasik, don’t wait… its worth it!

Thanks to Dr Rothman and staff. Yesterday I had ²⁰⁄₈₀ vision and today I have 20/​15, better than ²⁰⁄₂₀. Awesome!

If I could give Dr Rothman and his staff 10 stars I would! I just had my advanced lasik surgery done 3 days ago and I can’t still believe these are my eyes! My eyes have been at a +5.75, +6 (extremely far sided) since I can remember (36 years) I also had a lazy eye and in a matter of 10 minutes Dr. Rothman changed my life. I can now see better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ & no more lazy eye. Dr. Rothman and his staff are very professional and very thorough. The procedure before getting it done seemed a little creepy but let me tell you it’s all the unknown, the procedure itself didn’t hurt a bit just a little weird. My recovery time took just hours and I was able to see like I never have before. By far the BEST thing I have ever done. Like I said LIFE CHANGING! I don’t know if you can really put a price on sight but this is fairly cheep in my eyes. THANK YOU DR. Rothman & LASIK of Nevada Staff.

I had my Lasik surgery back in February and I’ve almost forgotten I even wore glasses and contacts! I’m so happy that I went through with it and that I chose Lasik of Nevada and Dr. Rothman to do my surgery. Here’s why:
#1 — Tried to go through my insurance but the closest offices were either in Rancho Cordova or Utah! Lasik of Nevada was conveniently located down the street!
#2 — I wanted to get the procedure done before my vacation in Hawaii. Lasik of Nevada made sure to get me in and scheduled for all the appropriate appointments.
#3 — I wanted to go with a doctor who had a significant amount of experience with the procedure. Dr. Rothman has performed hundreds (if not thousands!) of Lasik procedures and was instrumental in developing the Lasik operation. Check!
#4 — The procedure isn’t cheap, but we had figured out how to pay cash for it. Luckily, they offer financing through Care Credit and we were able to put the procedure on our card with no interest for 18 months!
It’s obvious the office does a ridiculous amount of business! When you go for your pre-​op appointments, you won’t see Dr. Rothman. But the staff and other doctors are professional and help walk you through the process. They are like a well-​oiled machine and if you follow their instructions, everything will be fine!
My vision went from ²⁰⁄₄₀₀ to ²⁰⁄₂₀ in a matter of 10 minutes! Yes, the procedure is a bit uncomfortable, especially if you are at all claustrophobic. They do give you ibuprofen and something for anxiety, however. Afterward, your eyes are very sensitive and sometimes dry and/​or extremely watery. All is natural and will most likely pass within 24 hours. Everyone is different, but the majority of people who had the procedure at the same time as me were seeing perfectly the very next day!
It will be the best $ 2,000+ you ever spend on yourself!

As other reviewers have mentioned the staff here is suburb and extremely professional. They are by far the best doctor office staff I have encountered.
The procedure itself went perfectly and I have every confidence in Dr Rothman, trust me you will feel very comfortable!
I got PRK surgery which I definitely recommend if you can handle the recovery time. I hate the idea of having a flap over your eye that never 100% heals. That being said PRK recovery is hell! Definitely take at least a week off of work. But it is all worth it in the end!
No need to shop around, I already called like three other lasik places and here has the best prices and many different options if you are on a budget like me, just ask! Plus, no service or performance was compromised, Dr. Rothman is a pro!
