Kidscape Productions puts on the best school break camps in Reno. Our daughter has attended a bunch of their break camps at both Reno High’s Theater and Damonte Ranch High School’s Theater over the years. What makes these camps great is that they actively engage the kids all day long, not just in the morning. At most school break camps in Reno that we’ve seen, they’ll do a decent job of occupying the kids before lunch, but then the kids get no real engagement in the afternoons. When you go to pick up your kid at most school break camps, they are sitting at a table with paper and crayons and look like they are just wilting from boredom. We have never seen this at pickup from Kidscape break camps. Not once.
Our child is always super excited to go to these camps. She comes home every day tired because there is no sitting around. They keep the kids active, learning, and having fun all day every day. She has really enjoyed the Improv camps, the Scene Study camp, and a few of their Play camps. How cool is it that the kids go to camp for a week and at the end can perform a full length play for you when you pick them up on Friday? A full length play? In one week? It’s crazy, but they do it! It seems like Kidscape Productions operates with the philosophy that your kid is capable of learning a lot more than most other camps give your kid credit for. They are totally right too! The best part about these camps is seeing the pride your child gets when you watch their final performance and applaud. It’s quite an accomplishment, and they know it! Kidscape school break camps are a top notch experience for Reno kids.

Christiana is an amazing person with that bubbling personality which brings the best out of her KidScape kids. Her enthusiasum creates an awesome environment for the kids to learn and have fun. I highly recommend KidScape to broaden your childs interests and have a blast doing so.

I thought my son must be the most finicky kid out there — after trying about 10 different activities, I was about to give up, but then we discovered Kidscape! He was hooked. He has been doing it for two years now and he can’t wait to go every week. He has done the play camps, the Improv classes and acting classes with Kidscape and he loved them all. The experience has been a lifesaver for him during a really hard time with the loss of his father and for that I am eternally grateful. Christiana and her husband took a special interest in making sure he was okay and emotionally connected through his great loss. They are beautiful souls.
The confidence and passion Kidscape has fostered in my son are remarkable as well. His speaking skills and people skills are substantially better thanks to these classes. These skills are beyond valuable.

My son loves this class and so do I! It has improved his body control, language skills and inspires him to be more outgoing in everyday situations.

We love KidScape! My son has some special needs and the staff there gives him just the right amount of accomodations he needs to be effectively involved. He is learning better communication skills, social skills, and improving his self esteem through the great programs developed by Kidscape. We were first introduced to Christiana and Kidscape through her work with Camp Care. I would highly recommend dropping in on a session or two and seeing for yourself!

EXCELLENT! This group of people takes positive to a new level. I know that my daughter has benefited from her week long winter break program more that she has at full semester classes in school or other private activities. The uplifting energy and constructive organized activities were just what my daughter needed. I’m so looking forward to her performance today with this lovely fast paced, fun filled group of people. We can’t wait to do another program with them. My daughter practiced her social skills and time management without nagging reminders from me! Don’t let the price scare you, worth every penny!

Kidscape is a great place to teach children a multitude of skills, from acting to public speaking, My child had fun, made friends and learned confidence! I highly recommend them!

KidScape offers comprehensive acting courses for children and young adults that emphasize and reinforce positive, emotional growth, as well as confidence. I recently had the pleasure of meeting with one of their instructors outside of the classroom and her passion was palpable. In fact, she encouraged me to drop in on a course, which I did out of curiosity (and because of her infectious energy). Even though I’m too old to enroll as a student, I would recommend the classes to any child as an outlet of expression and outward growth, even if the kid has no inherent desire to become the next Nathan Lane.
