I was in the mood for ice cream one day and decided to check out Unilocal for a local shop when I found this place. They have homemade ice cream with tasty, unique flavors made from real products. Not to mention, the décor with all he bicycles inside is really neat.

Normally my reviews are lengthy and TLDR(sometimes when I’m particularly daring, I’ll pour four paragraphs into Unilocal); so here, I’ll leave you with only this: I HADSWEETPOTATOCASSEROLEICECREAMHERE. And if that doesn’t sound like something you’re into, I suggest two modes of progress:(i) go to SaveMart and stick with your sad Dreyer’s gallon, or(ii) buy a waffle cone here and live on the wild side. *Flavors here are ever rotating: it’s romantic and serene; pitiless and challenging. So many flavors, so much opportunity for transcendence or abandonment. Seldom is the human condition more forcefully or penetrating stated. Thanks for reminding me of my finitude, you wise dairy sages.

The ice cream is so creamy and the unique flavors change daily. You have to try the Fruit Loops Cereal Milk flavor! Proud to support such a cool local store.

First time here and I’m a fan! The staff was super friendly and greeted everyone as they walked in the door. As I waited for friends they asked if I wanted to try any of the unique flavors of ice cream. At Pedaler’s Deli I ate the smoked out surfer, which was the special. The flavors blended really well together, but you can never go wrong with bacon! At IceCycle I had Oatmeal chocolate-chip ice cream, which was also very delicious! I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to my friends!

Our new ice cream spot. Love that it has no corn products in. Amazing flavored and great variety. Staff is always friendly and ready to give recommendations or samples.

This is the best place to get ice cream in Reno, hands down, and I believe that any local who has visited this place would agree! First of all, it’s local with lots of character(all the bicycle stuff). The flavors reflect the area(like the Home Means Nevada flavor). They sell sandwiches also so you could have a delicious lunch with dessert. Lastly, the service is great with smiling employees. I tried the Cookie Roulette(I liked/recommend) and Matcha Kit Kat(was alright, don’t really recommend). Next time I’ll get some other delicious flavor. One thing I think they could possibly improve on is the texture of the ice cream – it’s pretty icy and not as creamy as I’d prefer. However, this might be what they’re going for with less cream so «more healthy.» I’d still come back for more even if they’re laying off the heavy cream! I might venture to say that this is best ice cream place in northern Nevada! Makes living in the desert more bearable.

Craving ice cream and want to try something different? This place is for you! While they do have the classic chocolate and vanilla flavors, I highly recommend stepping out of box and trying some of their other unique flavors. Banana Curry, Mango Cardamom, Strawberry and Brown Sugar, Corn with Blueberry swirl, Figgy Piggy(Fig with bacon bits), Cookie Roulette, and Home Means Nevada(sage with pine nuts) were just a few of their unusual flavors. The flavor combo may seem unorthodox, but let your curiosity take over. I promise you won’t be disappointed. My friend and I each ordered a double scoop because… why not? :) Being a native Nevadan, I had to try Home Means Nevada. The sage and pine nut combo was light and refreshing. Perfection in my mouth. My second scoop was the Cookie Roulette. I loved guessing what cookie pieces were in each bite. My friend enjoyed the strawberry with brown sugar and corn with blueberry swirl. Both were equally delicious and made for a great end to the day. You can choose to get your ice cream in a cone or a cup. If you get your ice cream in a cup it comes with a crispy waffle cookie. There was only one guy to scoop the ice cream and work the register when my friend and I were there, which made the wait a little longer. It wasn’t a problem because it gave us more time to decide on what flavors were wanted. He was even very patient with us when it was finally our turn and we wanted to try a few samples. Go check this place out! It’s worth it!

Legit, from scratch, crazy unique favors, cool environment, nice crew serving up custom cream. Worth a drive off the main path to try something different.

Ice cream cravings? This is your place! Want Banana sour cream or Thai Basil ice cream?! How about horchata or dirty chai? I love the variety of flavors here. They have the standard cookie dough, chocolate, and vanilla if that’s your feels, but if you’re looking to try something else a little different, this is great like venue. Tip — Ask for samples! This place is tiny but has a few large tables for groups, has plenty of parking, and is in a great little neighborhood off Plumb St. I had the dirty chai and unkle Leo’s banana, my boyfriend had the horchata. I was very pleased with all three — great flavors and quantity was great for the price. 1 scoop $ 2.50 and 2 scoops $ 4.50. They give you waffle wafer if you don’t want the cone — great for added flavor and scooping! It was nice to see the wood spoons as well — I am appreciative when I see a place steering away from plastic and being more environmentally conscious.

Very interesting ice cream flavors you won’t find in many places; either in Nevada or California including salted butterscotch, fruity pebbles cereal milk, fresh basil and horchata. The pebbles sounds unusual but was surprisingly excellent as was the Uncle Leo’s delight with banana, brown sugar and sour cream. Hand made waffle cones are delicious or can get in a cup with a waffle cone cookie garnish. Before ice cream, we enjoyed sandwiches with homemade bread. Loved the the seeded bread and jalapeño cheddar. Got the berry bird and blokes spokes. Tip: can mix as many flavors as you like, so experiment!

Is it legal to live in an ice cream shop? I don’t think it is, but I’d break the law for 24⁄7 access to Icecycle’s tasty, tasty treats. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while, as I LOVE ice cream. I finally got the chance to go last weekend, and now I want to go every day. I even raced across town tonight to get my fix before they closed. Every flavor I’ve tried has been amazing, and it’s made locally with local/regional ingredients. Some options are a little off the wall — like Home Means Nevada(sage ice cream with pine nuts) and Savory Deliciousness(honey, rosemary, and goat cheese) — but do yourself a favor and at least sample them, even if they sound gross to you. These immediately became two of my favorite flavors, and you can taste each ingredient without being overwhelmed(FYI — Savory Deliciousness does have small goat cheese chunks in it). If you get a waxy coating in your mouth while eating, it’s probably because the ice cream was overchurned. Ignore this and keep eating. A single scoop is $ 2.50, and the little waffle rounds that come with your ice cream are also to die for — and also made in house, I believe. Customer service is solid, and they are pretty patient with patrons who want lots of samples. Lines quickly grow out the door, but I promise it’s worth the wait. I’m engaged to be married, but I might call it off and ask Icecycle to marry me instead. SOGOOD!

Wow I can’t believe I haven’t done this review. This little ice cream shop shares space with Peddlers Deli in a strip mall a little off the beaten path and near Smiling with Hope Pizza. But if your in the mood for some unique ice cream flavors that kicks Baskin Robbins butt — head here. Thanks to Unilocal’s month of coffee events last August, I headed in here to try Reno 911, coffee ice cream with pieces of cake donuts crumbled in it. Absolutely delicious as I fell in love with this place. Last week on St Pats day they served Bailey’s and Jameson ice cream. Equally a heavenly treat for the day. Way better than green beer. They are forever trying unique combinations, so you need to stop in often. There are usually 12 – 14 different ice creams to choose from. How about Grandpa’s Carrot Cake –Spiced Carrot ice cream with whiskey soaked raisins. Tomorrow I need to try maple bacon cheesecake. Don’t wait too late in the evening, they close at 8 pm.

Sometimes you hear about certain places and you immediately know that you need to go there. Icecycle was one of those for me. I was intrigued by the interesting and unique flavor combinations, plus I LOVE ice cream. It took a while but I finally came in, and now I’ve been twice. The first time, my mom was in town and we had time to kill and needed a snack. Now from reading the reviews I see they have a three sample limit, but I’m pretty sure we exceeded that. There are just so many neat choices! My mom and I both wound up with Home Means Nevada which is heaven. The sage flavor of the ice cream manages to be both bold and subtle, somehow. And the pine nuts add texture and flavor that is delightful. The second time, the whole family came along and we all wound up with Pretzel Pretzel Bomb, which, if you can hurry up and get there before they run out of it, you should do that. This is one of the best ice creams I’ve ever tasted. I cannot wait to frequent Icecycle over the summer and taste more of their creative flavors. The sandwiches and salads on the deli side sound good too– the other day the sign said they had cream of asparagus soup, I’ve gotta try that some day!

I scream, You scream, We all scream… WHY don’t you step outside of your classic vanilla, chocolate or strawberry flavor comfort zone and try something CRAZY! Ever try a Banana Curry ice cream? Or Toasted Sesame? How about Mango Chile Lime sorbet? What! You haven’t heard of these? Well, in that case you should check out these innovative bizarre ice cream flavors! As weird as it may sound, these flavors are so good in a cool way possible! Uncommon and tasty ingredients mixed in with local cream, and, in the end, this surprisingly refreshing flavors are a little bit salty, a little bit spicy but definitely very unique. I played it safe and got Mango Chile Lime sorbet, Chocolate Smoked Sea Salt and Banana Curry. Next time, I’ll expand my horizons and get new things. So get out there, test out some of the more unconventional flavors and get ready for an unimaginable interesting ice cream taste sensation!

The flavor combos are crazy, but they work. I tried banana curry, strawberry crushes back pepper, applejack cereal with milk and Spumoni. I chose Spumoni, not because the others didn’t taste good, but rather Spumoni just taste that much better This would have been five stars, but the wooden spoons took away from the yummy goodness of the ice cream

Thank you, Unilocal!I found this local gem after searching for ice cream on a weekend trip to Reno. Cycling theme is awesome. Unique flavors that change daily. There are resident flavors, too. Ingredients are sourced locally. Free samples Cool décor 10% discount if ride your bike to the store. Friendly staff I chose Taro and Earl Grey after trying almost every flavor in the cases. Both flavors were creamy and tasted so good! I will definitely return when I’m in Reno again. Try it, you’ll like it!

Unique ice cream flavors. Everything I’ve tasted so far, was good. Today we had honey corn bread(little too much actual corn bread); their Reno Special which had sage and pinenuts… very interesting. And we had a vanilla/caramel/siracha … tasty, not«hot.» They also make sandwiches. Today’s special was a pizza pannini… sounded very good, but we were on our way to dinner and bringing ice cream for dessert. It’ a great place for something different. I’d say… go ahead, give it a try.

I decided to try Icecycle Creamery based on all of their awesome Unilocal reviews. I’m happy to say they lived up to their high ratings. We visited on a Friday evening thirty minutes before closing. The shop was cute and clean and we enjoyed the fun bicycle themed décor! The girl behind the counter was very pleasant and was happy to offer helpful suggestions and multiple samples for us to try. Torn between a few flavors, she recommended trying the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milk flavor because it’s not one of their regulars and likely wouldn’t be there next time I visited. What a good choice, the flavor was so true to the name. It tasted exactly as I imagined, but better! I don’t often get to try hand made ice cream, so this was definitely a treat. Hard to explain, but I felt the texture was very superior to that of store bought carton ice cream. It seemed very crisp and fresh. The other flavors we sampled were Chai Latte, which had just enough Chai flavor without being too sweet, and the sage pine nut. The sage pine nut was also delicious, but slightly over powering; I look forward to ordering it next time. I ordered my ice cream on a sugar cone, which was not my favorite. It seemed a bit over-cooked and didn’t taste as good as other sugar cones I’ve had. Besides the cone, I was very, very pleased with my ice cream and I can’t wait to return to try other flavors. Their deli menu also impressed me, so I will have to return before 7pm to try something off of that menu.

I’ve wanted to go here for a long time but I always forgot every time I went to Reno. So today after going around I remembered about this place. Before we went in, we read the menu outside and I saw that they’ve a blackberry flavor, j love berries so I got to try this one. We came in and the guy asked if we wanted to try some samples. So I tried the blackberry jefe and hmm I love it & the mixed berry sorbet too and it was so good. My husband tried the avocado coconut and home means Nevada flavor. He ordered the avocado coconut in a cone and I ordered the blackberry jefe in a cup with a waffle. My ice cream was delicious, I can taste the coffee. My husband’s ice cream was yummy too. Very creamy with shredded coconut. Next time he wants to try their sandwich. And I’ll try another flavor for the ice cream or maybe the sorbet one. Service was good & friendly. Ice cream flavors change all the time.
