Creative Arts Center

We absolutely LOVE Miss Katherine!
Our daughter has been in Fairy Tale Ballet at the Creative Arts Center since the start of the session in September. We’ve also attended a few of the KinderSplash sessions.
Miss Katherine is incredibly wonderful and has fantastic ideas that are meant to teach children a wide range of concepts. She makes sure her classes are suitable for each different age group and incorporates sensory, music and so much more into each activity.
We looked at several different centers before choosing the Creative Arts Center. We loved how kind and attentive Miss Katherine was to all of our questions and we loved that her main focus is allowing the children to simply be children and grow in a safe, enjoyable and bright atmosphere while they are learning ballet and dance basics.
Each month Miss Katherine introduces a new Fairy Tale Character like Snow White, Cinderella, Rock Star Diva (super cute!), fairies and others.
Our daughter isn’t the only one who got to meet new people and make new friends either. :)

My family has been involved in the Creative Arts Center for three years and we love it! Aside from Fairytale Ballet the center hosts a range of workshops and classes throughout the year and during Artown they host all sorts of fun things like a kids art show and princess themed parties!
Katherine is the most patient teacher for even the tough kids who have a hard time focusing! She is sweet and patient even on crazy days where all the girls are going crazy and the kids and parents love her because of it! I don’t think there could be a better person to be doing such great things for kids in our community!
The Center has so many fun things to do from a library to themed rooms. Katherine comes up with the best and cutest projects for play time and executes them great!
The price can’t be beat either all of the classes and extra activities are a great value for what your little one experiences! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fun to do, at least try out a class (first one is normally free!) and see for yourself how awesome it is!!!

Our two daughters thoroughly enjoy their dance classes with Miss Katherine at the Creative Arts Center. She is an amazingly fun and patient teacher and a master at choreography. She incorporates several styles of dance, from classical ballet, to tap and even hip-​hop, into her curriculum in a fun and age-​appropriate manner. The Fairy Tale Ballet classes entail a different character every month, so the children can act out and enjoy becoming someone new every month through different costumes, props and dance styles. Miss Katherine is also wonderful at not judging children on their dance ability, but rather encourages and teaches to everyone’s individual level in a kind and loving manner. The studio is warm and inviting and very kid-​oriented. Miss Katherine also hosts several themed «work shops» throughout the year such as Princess Teas and art shows. She has also been involved with the Reno Art Town festival for the past few years, bringing the arts to our youngest residents in an entertaining yet educational manner. The Creative Arts Center also offers art and sensory classes to wee ones in which our daughters have also participated and enjoyed immensely. We are extremely lucky to have Miss Katherine and the Creative Arts Center in our community!
