For Patients: This is a methadone clinic and while the inner workings of the place can affect you, I would not base my decision on that fact alone as you should be obtaining treatment if you have an addiction.
For prospective employees: As a former employee I do not believe this should be a job prospect for anyone looking to do real counseling. While the clientele is often difficult that is not the reason this place is not the ideal place of employment. The turnover rate for counselors is the highest it has ever been and most likely due to the way the place is ran. The owners as well as the director fail at consistency and making you feel as if you are a valued employee. There are also ethical violations that should not be occurring in a counseling setting. Bottom line, do not work here unless you are trying to make extra cash but this is not conducive to the patient’s treatment if counselors are apathetic… my advice: don’t work here at all.
