The food was«Eh» and someone who was either drunk or mentally ill screamed at me going in and out of this place. I try to stay away from places that still smell like an ash tray but on a friend’s recommendation I went in to try it. I definitely would not go back but I can see how certain people like this type of environment.

Really great place to spend your time! It has a nice laid back atmosphere, and a really great café. The slot machine selection is really great, and table games are really nice for a casino of this size. Definitely a good place to kick back and spend your time!

When travelling through the area this is one of my favorite places to stop at. Shirley in the high stakes area is wonderful and is the main reason I have been coming back for years!

Nice locals casino. Shirley in the card center who handles the higher player cards and promotions is a grumpy old bat that needs to retire. Her service is less than desired. Love the spaghetti dinner on wednesday nights. All you can eat.

big fan of $ 2 craps, time warp feel, hospitality and their food options. have enjoyed the ribs and spaghetti and intend to get out there for fried chicken night. sat next to an early 70s german lady who has the panache of a vibrant 20 something at the center bar watchin baseball and playin vdo poker over irish whiskey and mexican beers the guys buyers remorse a review or two prior for $ 3.95 spaghetti is comical. feel sorry for his girlfriend as they must go dutch or perhaps she gets the dinner tabs. i imagine the branding iron is crushed he wont be returning. lets see if you can duplicate that effort on time getting the items, money spent on product, along w/gas-energy preparing at that price

Went on a Wednesday night where they offer an AYCE(All You Can Eat) Spaghetti. Sounds like an amazinging deal right? Wrong! The Spaghetti tasted dry and bland. When requesting parmesan cheese, the waitress brought out a 2oz cup of it, I would feel bad for asking her mutlitimes for more cheese. Well I guess your just getting what you paid for, and well you might not be seeing me returning any time possible.

We had the breakfast buffet on Mother’s Day and it really wasn’t bad! The only reason I knocked off a couple of stars was because we were told they were switching from breakfast to lunch when we got there and they really only ended up bringing in one or two new dishes. Other than that, the shrimp alfredo, breakfast foods, carved meats and desserts were awesome! The guy serving desserts was also really nice. Pleasant meal for sure :)

Back in 2004, my coat was stolen off the back of my wife’s chair, as I used the the restroom. Talked to security, management, etc., basically was told tough luck. Seems to be a rough neighborhood, next to the jail/bail bonds outfits. Will never go there again, and suggest everyone else heed my words… low life area… big time. Watch your back, your wallet, and jacket.

Coffee shop dining experience was so so. Food wasn’t anything to praise but it wasn’t horrible either. There wasn’t a sole in there at 2am when we went. It’s average of casino late night dining.

Wednesday nights, all you can eat spaghetti is the best deal in town! The spaghetti comes with meat sauce or marinara(your choice, no price difference) and for minimal added cost you can add salad or French bread to your meal. They also have really big tvs that show sports games, so I imagine it would be a great hangout for sport events. They also have a late night bar menu that is reasonable and delicious! And if you want to pregame your meal with gambling, they have $ 2 blackjack tables! One time when we were waiting for a table I decided to play some blackjack while we waited. I won $ 20! Dinner was basically on the house!

Great local Casino and close to home. I am not a BIG gambler, I always gotta stop while I am a head and this place hasn’t let me down yet. It’s small and doesn’t have all the slots as the downtown casinos but there are a lot of up sides. Parking lot is right in front While playing slots you can get your drinks faster then the ones downtown. Friendly service Two awesome restaurants Clean bathrooms

No, no, no, no, no. This place has morphed from really great food, to worse than McDonalds. I’ve tried twice in the past few years and now I simply refuse to waste my time. At once vibrant with excellent food and service, it’s now a complete reversal. The food is boring, lackluster, and made by someone who just doesn’t give a damn. I don’t know how you can make a simple breakfast unappealing and tasteless. Even the BLT was lousy; the fries cold and probably frozen. The only place where staying at home is the better option. It must be very disappointing for the locals, as this used to be the go to place. Now it’s just sad and depressing.

Great casino!!! Great for sports betting and food! Great food for cheap nice employees and excellent service. I try to go often since it’s one of the last locally owned casinos in town

Recently moved to Stead from southern Nevada and decided to check out the closest casino to us which was Bonanza. Just went to gamble a little and have a few cocktails and ended up spending most of our time just hanging out at the bar! A young bartender named Sabel made our night and kept us laughing and gabbing longer than we had planned to be out! I went with my daughter and her boyfriend and this gal made us feel like family! I think this is our go-to casino and can’t wait to try the prime rib next time, hear it’s fantastic!

I wish I could give zero stars. I despise this place. There is a dealer who kicked us out for cursing at the table. We weren’t even mad, we were just having a conversation amongst ourselves. Gave it three tries and it was awful every one of them. I will never return. Don’t expect to have a good time.

A step back in time, and that’s a good thing. Got to gamble here twice in the past year and for a value guy like me they offer low limit tables. A two dollar minimum on the sunday I played, and from a single deck. Another table had a three dollar minimum dealt from a shoe, with a very interesting side bet at the blackjack table. With this side bet you can bet up to the amount of your original bet that the dealer will bust. Then you have the option to draw a card if your hand is soft 17 or less. If you don’t like your card you can give it back to the dealer and burn it, then you have the option of drawing another card which you must keep. Yeah, it’s just another way to earn your money for the casino, but I found it makes the play a bit more interesting and interactive. And with the relatively low minimum bets you can play all day. I found the dealers to be a close knit group of experienced guys and gals and they were friendly. Yeah it’s a bit out of the way but I was able to drive downtown in 15 minutes or so, and it is not out of the way if your driving north or south on old 395. They also have a craps table. There was a slot tournament on this Sunday morning. Enjoy the feeling of how casinos used to be before the big corportations stepped in.

This is an ok casino with really low limits. I call it a beginner’s casino. I learned to play craps here and the dealers were all really nice and it was easy to play when it only costs $ 1. I played video roulette(.25 cent bets) and craps but that’s about it here. The place isn’t very big and there are some interesting characters that play here. I wish it was closer to downtown but that’s probably why the limits are so low.

This was very good… at least the prime rib dinner was! GREATPRICE! I was a little cautious because the entire prime rib dinner was priced at $ 9.95… Usually, prime rib dinners are pretty spendy. When my plate came I was very impressed. Excellent mashed potatoes, vegetables… I highly recommend.

I like the Bonanza — partly because it’s one of the last true remaining locals joints! When I think of the Bonanza, I do so simultaneously with the Gold ‘n Silver. Both are family owned places established in Reno even longer than the several decades that I’ve lived here. Pros It’s a little out of the way. I love this because sometimes I’d rather not run into people I know. Parking right by the door. Few casinos still offer this and there are so many reasons to love it. The feeling that you are in a small place where, if you wanted to become known to the staff, it wouldn’t take long. Unpretentious. Bonanza is what it is. Yeah, it’s cowboy-trailer trashy, but sometimes it’s fun to slum it old Reno way. It’s easy to get on a slot machine, easy to get change(or get new paper money the machines will accept) or get other help on the casino floor because Bonanza still has a few employees meandering around and the place is small. Between the ticket-in auto-payout machine and a human cashier, it’s easy to cash out –assuming you have money left! Getting seated in the coffee shop(I don’t do the other restaurants) is quick and easy provided it isn’t during peak hours on a Friday or Saturday evening. Prices remain relatively inexpensive. Stick with the specials and you should do fine. I am rarely disappointed when ordering their beef ribs — except I don’t like the coleslaw. If I’m having a meal, I don’t order other things, but have chosen the buffet a few times when the ribs were an included buffet item — otherwise, it’s the menu special of ribs for me.
