Half turkey sandwich and salad… the freshest veggies! Homemade poppyseed dressing was delicious! They bake their own goodies here too! Fresh brewed raspberry iced tea… the owner, Anthony, was a delight!

I’d love to review the food but we didn’t feel welcome to stay long enough to even order. I came in alone with my two boys(2 and 3) and the woman working register was very intolerant of my children because they touched the glass refrigerated case. She complained that now she would have to wash it all over again(a few fingerprints, God forbid). When she rudely scolded my 3 year old for lifting a bag of chips to ask me if those were the ones he could get with his sandwich, I picked up my kids and walked out. I’ll never come back based on this experience alone.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time now, but the hours have been restricting me. Finally got around to it today. The cashier was very helpful and told me about there specials and menu since I had never been in before. The food is quite tasty and left me full and satisfied. I had half cashew chicken sandwich on Dutchcrunch bread and a half green salad. My only complaint is that I asked for no tomatoes but got tomatoes on both the sandwich and the salad.(Which I didn’t notice ’til I got home). I would still go back though.

Casual and friendly dining walking distance from my work. I try to eat here a few times a month and always find the food good. Happy to be so close to a vegan friendly lunch place!

Had the soup and sandwich. Falafel wrap! Awesome. White bean and veggie soup was a touch bland but overall great experience.

This great, locally owned deli has been a staple on Wells for as long as I can remember! They have great daily, yummy specials & one of the best Chai Latte’s I’ve ever had! I know there’s ‘newer/hipper’ places for vegetarian, vegan and organic options; but Anthony started the movement! I frequent Dandelion a couple times a week, & have NEVER had a bad meal! Dandelion Deli is a true gem!

Pros: decent selection of vegan/veggie options. I love their selection of vegan pastries like carrot cake, berry bars, cookies, cupcakes. The pastries are less sweet than I am accustomed to– which is better for my health. The bread tasted fresh. The staff were friendly. The location is convenient. I loved the tofu scramble. Cons: Like most delis in the area, they close early and are usually closed on weekends except for special Saturday dinner(limited hours/seasons). The prices seem high for the location and serving size. The sandwich would taste better with some condiments. In their business model as a deli, they prepare some food(like wraps and egg rolls) in advance and keep it in the cold display case, but they will offer to reheat it if you want. Their menu doesn’t reflect everything they have in display cases, on the chalkboard signs behind the cashier, or in the refrigerator, so look around before deciding what to order or you might miss something good!

I simply love this place! They always have unique items and specials up on the board and on display. Today they had yummy looking zucchini/tofu patties which I wish I had seen before placing my order. Since I’m trying to stay away from meals high in saturated fat, I ordered a veggie sandwich on multigrain bread. It was very tasty and loaded with fresh ingredients. For dessert, I ordered a homemade soy-based fruit bar which was a very pleasant surprise! You can tell that the owner of this place strives to offer flavorful menu items capable of satisfying all tastes and needs: veggie, vegan, or regular. Yes, they also have meat sandwiches and such. Besides, the friendliness of the owner, quiet atmosphere, and decent prices are a plus.

NOMS. Had the Dandelion Special and was delighted. The tasty hummus, fresh veggies, and subtle mint flavors made for one awesome sandwich. The owners were behind the counter and were super friendly. Very close to the VA hospital(I walked) with a small parking lot out front. Will return

This is one very special spot. It’s locally owned, chock full of vegetarian & vegan menu options, committed to quality ingredients & eco-conscious practices, and full of great values. What’s not to love about Dandelion Deli? A couple friends brought me for lunch here yesterday. I tried the spinach & feta quiche with the potato leek soup(daily special items). And wow, the soup tasted like a springtime garden bursting in my mouth! And the quiche was so perfect, I couldn’t stop myself. I’m a sucker for good quiche, and this was downright amazing quiche with phenomenal texture & flavor. Oh, and say hi to Anthony if he’s in. He’s the owner, he’s super friendly, and he’ll check to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Dandelion Deli is one of those«Only in Reno» experiences that locals cherish and more visitors should experience for themselves.

I visit Anthony’s for lunch at least once a week and I’m never disappointed! Tons of vegan/vegetarian options but they also have meat for the non-compassionate eater ;) I love their daily specials and how fresh all their veggies are. If you like healthy, tasty food then Anthony’s Dandelion Deli is a great place to eat.

We just had a FANTASTIC brunch at Anthony’s Dandelion Deli! Anthony took great care of us, as the food was phenomenal, the service was stellar and we will surely be back the next time we are in Reno! We loved every bite of the tofu, veggie, potato scramble with vegan sausage! Our party of 6 included two kids, and everyone left satisfied! We sampled quite a few of their delectable baked goods, including chocolate muffin, banana walnut muffin, donut, pumpkin bread and even took a slice of carrot cake for later. There were so many vegan options!!! The family atmosphere was welcoming and the high quality food will keep you coming back!

I went here with a coworker for the first time this past Friday for lunch and I was just so excited with the amount of options that they have to choose from for me. Being a person who has only been eating a plant-based diet for about a year and a half now you are definitely limited with your options. Plus, the atmosphere was really nice; like you are at home(I felt), and the staff is really friendly too. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family(or anyone for the matter).

I went there for the first time yesterday. I totally enjoyed the Gluten Free Carrot Cake and saw many other goodies that I want to try in the future. I also had a Tuna sandwich on homemade Gluten Free bread. It was tasty and the bread was moist(not all crumbly like many GF breads). The reason why I will likely not order that sandwich(or probably any sandwich) again is all about the size for the price. You pay $ 1 more for the GF bread, which is understandable and pretty customary. The problem is that the sandwich is really small… evidently about the size of a half sandwich, because the lady who was going to give me my To Go order thought that they mistakenly put a half sandwich of some sort in my bag. So, I paid $ 1 more for about half the size of the usual sandwiches… about $ 9.25 just for the small sandwich.(After looking at other Unilocalers’ pictures, I didn’t get the carrot and celery sticks either. That might have helped. Also the picture of the GF veggie sandwich looks fuller with all of those wonderful veggies topped high. Maybe I should have had that one. You can kind of tell the size of my sandwich yesterday, but mine was much flatter.) My plan for the next visit is probably to just go with a GF soup, salad, or quiche. I will get the same amount of food as non GF eaters and pay the same price. I’m definitely a fan of my new Gluten Free find. I just believe that I need to order differently, unfortunately.

I get really resentful when something trades taste for being ‘healthy.’ What can I say… I’m a glutton! Well, I get frequent snacks and occasional lunch here for over a year now, and have never been disappointed. This tme of year, I love soup. Had the minestone last week and it was wonderful! And the baked goods! Love the carrot cake, the pumpkin bread, and everything else I’ve tried so far.

Wow bringing my review down from 5 stars to 1 star was pretty tough, but I have to after what happened last time I came in here. So by no means is this place completely gluten free or dairy free, but they advertise themselves as a business who tries to accommodate whenever they can. I’ll preface my story with that I have celiac disease and a dairy allergy(not lactose intolerance). So I came in just last week while I was on vacation in Reno, NV and while I was deciding on what to order in line I saw an employee bring out a big container of cream cheese and cottage cheese. At first I thought nothing of it other than he is making someone’s late breakfast. Then I see him proceed to open both and stick his hands in one to pull out CABBAGE and the other to pull out some other veggie. They were storing cleaned veggies in cleaned out old cream cheese containers! I’m sorry, but don’t be advertising yourself as an allergen friendly place when you can’t even afford to store veggies in food grade containers! They may be food grade, but they previously held a lot of dairy! This would freak anyone out that had a severe dairy allergy and is unacceptable! I couldn’t believe it and was in utter shock. I quickly pointed it out to my dad and he said let’s just go it’s not even worth bringing up to them. If you have allergies or celiac disease I would not recommend this place. Precautions must be taken EVERYWHERE for me to consider a place safe.

A really good tasting, and«healthier lifestyle» deli sandwich is what they’re selling here at Anthony’s. All the meats on the menu are either Turkey or Turkey but, they do have other options except, those options are non-meat items. I enjoyed Anthony’s food, the service and their location so, I’ll be back soon.
