I was pretty disapointed by the experience. We arrived around 7pm this past Saturday and the line did not seem that long in comparison to other haunted house lines we have waited in. The lady at the entrance estimated it would take about 45 minutes. Our group did not enter until after 10pm. They let groups of about 8 – 12 in at a time, but groups only enter every 10 – 15 minutes. There is also a «VIP» line that costs $ 5 more a ticket, so they were alternating that line in with the regular line. They need to work on the logistics of the line and getting groups in and through quicker. Once inside, they attempt to scare by throwing out bogus statistics about how many people have done a #2 in their pants, screaming at you, and chasing people from room to room. Some of the rooms and actors had potentional, but overall it was predictable and sloppy. Would love to find a serious haunted house that is truly scary around here.

This Autumn, signs began to appear on telephone poles in the Gainesville/Haymarket area — warning of the Un-lucky Inn. Being a Halloween fan — I was intrigued, I visited their web site. So it looks and sounds cool based on the story on their web site. But would it actually deliver the scary goods? I went last Friday night on my way home from Shenandoah National Park. I arrived about 6:40 pm and bought my ticket — $ 10.00. The first hour The Un-lucky Inn conducts a non-scary version for little kids to go through. While you are waiting, a couple of vendors are selling food — one has hot chocolate and coffee for sale, the other is Red Hot and Blue — selling pulled pork and chicken sandwiches — just in time for you to eat them, then enter the Un-lucky Inn — and lose your lunch! :-) At 7:30 pm, they begin the real horror. Groups are sent though with a couple of guides, no more than eight people per group. You cross the yard and enter the Un-lucky Inn. I am not going to give away the scary details as I want others to be properly frightened and terrified. Suffice to say, this is to date the best and scariest haunted house I have experienced as an adult. Go, go to The Un-lucky Inn. You may check in, but you will never check out! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
