Northwest Fine Wines & Spirits

This place is insanely awesome! It is beer heaven… the variety of beers from Belgians, UK, Germany and every U.S. and Canadian craft brewer seem to be represented… there must be over 30 Belgian imports alone. Great wine selection too! I have been in dozens of local booze stores all over B’more and this place stands near the top. I can’t wait to go back and sample more of the highest rated beers in the world!

Northwest liquors is a great place to find both a great selection of liquor, wine, and beer. Not only is their selection great, but their prices are competitive, especially their scotches. Easy access from 140, and very friendly owner and his loving dogs.

Northwest has a great selection of beers and wines. Very rare and seasonal beers as well. The store is really very nicely presented with different «rooms» of each breakdown of alcohol.
Staff was very pleasant and the owner was very knowledgable about beers and wines. Good prices as well.

I was heading to a dinner party, and needed a place along the way that had decent beer. The dinner crowd was a lot of my fellow beer afficionados, so I knew I had to source something good.
A quick look over at
found a positive review for NW Fine Wines, so I made plans to stop there on the way.
And am I glad that I did.
I’ve been told the space used to be a bar, which explains the odd layout of the store. However, for a little place within a short drive of Owings Mills, Reisterstown, and others, the beer selection was really quite impressive. The wines looked to be pretty numerous, too, but that wasn’t what I was shopping for that night.
Prices were quite fair, and I only saw two of the coolers full of mass-​produced beer (Bud, Coors, etc.). The good stuff was scattered around the room, and grouped by brand for easy location.
In talking with the staff, it sounds like they’re planning to get a good selection of seasonals as they come out, so even though it’s quite a bit out of my way, I’ll probably stop by somewhat regularly to see the new arrivals.
Definitely worth a trip up ⁷⁹⁵⁄₁₄₀.
