Le Xanadu

I have been getting my hair cut there for years. Great place. Friend staff. Clean. Always does a great job getting my hair. Highly recommend them.

Very nice staff and ok location. Went on recommendation from co-​worker. Shampoo girl was a little rough for me but was really nice. Stylist did good on typical cut and color. Pricing was average for the area. Only drawback was I couldn’t add tip on my credit card. They made a big deal about it and I didn’t have cash. I didn’t want to leave without tipping so finally the owner/​manager allowed me to do that. If this is the case they really need to let first time customers know this at the time of making the appointment as it could affect the amount of tip or no tip being left to a staff member. While my experience wasn’t bad, I will probably go to another location next time.

Julie Teegardin did an outstanding job with my hair and my bridesmaids’ hair. Le Xanadu Salon is closed on Sundays (as are many salons) so I called to see if they were willing to accommodate a Sunday wedding. Julie called back and said she would do our hair. I knew she was great at cutting hair, especially short hairstyles, so I was excited about working with her for my wedding. She drove to my parents house and did all of our hair, and there was quite the variety of lengths and styles. I didn’t have the time to do a hair trial, as I was planning my MD wedding from KS, but that was no problem! She just asked for a few inspiration photos and went to work! She was able to do all five of our hair in just under 4 hours, and before she left, she made sure everybody’s hair still looked good and was holding up. Mine looked absolutely beautiful and held up all night, even with putting my comb veil in and out several times. I would absolutely recommend Julie for a great hair cut, and for up dos for any occasion.

First experience with Le Xanadu was at first very nice, but did not end that way. I made an appointment for a pedicure. The technician was super nice and did a GREAT job. She made sure I was comfortable and said that I could relax until the polish was dry enough to leave. After 2 – 3 minutes, someone came in and was startled to see me in the chair. She said she would have to move me so that she could prepare for another pedicure. Completely understandable but not handled well at all. Those were the only words she said to me. She cleaned the tub and filled it for the next person, so the water would be lukewarm at best for the next customer. The polish was not dry and was ruined by the time I got home.

Lisette has been doing my hair for the past couple years and she does a great job. I always wait to come back to Baltimore to get her to cut my hair (partially because it’s more affordable than where I live). Everyone at Le Xanadu is friendly, too. Great overall experience.

Charming! This salon is located in a large Victorian house right on Main Street in Reisterstown. I had a body wrap and massage (a wonderful Christmas gift!) They always seem busy but can find a way to squeeze you in — which is how I roll. While I don’t like cheating on my stylist, every once in a while (or month) I can’t wait for my appointment. My teenage daughter gets her hair done regularly at Le Xanadu and is always happy (and I’m happy with the price).

Beautiful salon and very inexpensive!
