Had the fish and chips. My friend had one of the burgers. Nice place food was good. Lots of beers too.

You must get there very early to get a table as there are not enough to serve many people. Plus, theres no where to wait except standing right next to the people eating… Awkward for everyone! If you wait, the food can be very good. But, not consistent. But, its not worth the efforts in our opinion. The staff are so so and don’t seem interested in their jobs… Seem like they feel overworked or distracted. Cute atmosphere. I’d suggest getting a larger restaurant if you want more people to come.

One of our favorite go to restaurants. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and loved it all. It’s a popular place and fills up quickly so get there early. And they know how to pour a Guinness. I’m a snob so I know.

Only a hand full of Resturants, that I’ve tried that always serves me perfect meals, and the Celtic Fringe is one of the best. Only place with steaks this good, is Ruth’s Chris at a much higher price. I was shocked to see any neg reviews but after reading one drunken retard left a neg review for getting cut off from more drinks, AFTER posting a 5 star pos review just before. And the other looks like his drunken wife. If your in Reidsville, and looking for a great meal, do yourself a favor and try this one.

Sadly this is not a good as I had expected. In town for work and decided to try this place out last night. It took awhile to get waited on to begin with. Being a hour before closing they wasn’t that busy. I ordered the Lamb stew which is a favorite. It took about thirty minutes to get the food. I was expecting it to be made with fresh food. The vegetables was from frozen. The Lamb was tasteless. It was a 16 $ plate that I had no taste for. I’m sorry but if you want to charge that much for food learn to season it and use fresh food.

I travel across North America 25 plus weeks a year and get to eat in some wonderful restaurants throughout, this is one of my top favorites. I cannot begin to explain how much I love this place. We go to the fringe often. Food is always outstanding and service always exceptional. You have to order the cheese chips and gravy app. I could literally eat the Guinness chicken everyday, seconded by the citrus chicken. The filet is absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. The shepherds pie is authentic and delicious. The flourless chocolate torte is to die for, get the brandied cherries on top. Easily and by far one of my favorite restaurants anywhere.

Sara is the worst!!! Kim the owner was great until tonight!(She could see I was not intoxicated and did nothing to check her staff) Half off wine or not I WOULDHAVE ordered their wine!!! Don’t go in with on WINEWEDNESDAY have more than a bottle between two people! Even if you order a salad an app and let the bartender know you are there to have dinner and have been there for 2 hours! Order the last bottle to have with our meal while my husband was outside on a phone call got cut off because I have not eaten enough asked for my check 2 times after that and was ignored! My husband finally came back in I told him what they said he was obviously upset as we had told the bartender right before he took the call that we were ordering another bottle and dinner but she had to wait until he was busy… He then had to get the owner to get our check. We have been here before and thought it was great! It is REALLY too bad. We ended up going to Turks having a couple of drinks(they didn’t tell me I was not eating enough) and dinner! Was excited to take my family here when they came to visit that will NOT happen now! Awful!!!

Thought this place made for good place to eat, drink and be happy. Turns out this is not the case. My parents called in a gift card to help us celebrate our new move. Woman on the phone says there is a 100.00 dollar minimum for this. My parents do it. Bottles of wine where ½ off my wife and I had 2 with small plates in between over 2 hours. I take a call and my wife comes out saying she has been cut off. Funny thing the couple next to us essentially a bottle a piece… Not sure what happened and disappointed…

The polenta and grits special was excellent. The egg cooked in sausage was good. I really enjoyed my salad. The menu was overwhelmingly big. A lot more expensive than we were expecting. Service was pretty good. It was more fun stopping here than having fast food on the way home!

My job has recently brought me to the small town of Reidsville. I was in search of a good lunch spot and this place was recommended by my co-workers. I ordered the lamb stew the lamb was perfectly tender and the broth was perfectly seasoned. My friend ordered the shepherds pie I had a bite and it was also delicious. the mashed potatoes were seasoned with a hint of mint which pared well with the ground lamb underneath, the caramelized onions on top were also a great addition. I will be back.

1 star is for horrible wait. we arrived at 7pm on a friday. be prepared to wait, a REALLY long time… over an hour for an appetizer. manager tried to blame this on everything being made fresh by hand and that its printed on the menu when they are full the food will take longer and there is no room in the kitchen for one more person. this is completely unacceptable, speaks to very poor planning therefore not being prepared to handle your guest load. annnnd 1:45 hours for dinner to arrive… food rating is 3 star(but i would not frequent this establishment due to the time issue) scotch egg was delicious, cheese fries were average. fish n chips was great, tarter sauce made with sweet relish(not my preference), grilled aspargus nicely done, scallops w/bleu cheese(not too strong) were very good. however, overall poor experience.

Excellent food, excellent service… we got there after the 3pm lunch cut-off, and before 5pm dinner, so we had to choose from the lighter fare — appetizers, salads, and soup — however, all items were only $ 4 each! The cheese fries are to die for, the Potato Leek soup was absolutely delicious(can’t understand the reviewer who said it was more like mashed potatoes, because it wasn’t), and the Guinness BBQ Faerie Wings were finger lickin’ good. We made room(sort of) for dessert, and I had the Lava Cake(best I ever had) and hubby had the Scottish Burnt Cream(delicious as well). If I liked beer, of course I would have had the Guinness, in true Irish fashion… Can’t wait to go back to taste the Shepherd’s Pie(can it be better than mine?), and the Angus Beef selection of steaks… YUM!

Just left this place so the experience is fresh on my mind. It’s a very small pub nicely decorated to fit the name. We sat at the bar because that is where the first seats were available after waiting at least 30 mins on a Saturday night. The bar top was not very comfortable because of the edge, not good for elbows and seats were low. I felt the bar tender was so busy she forgot about customer service. She was not interested in refilling my glass even when I asked her to, had to ask twice. I ordered bangers and mash, and it was spot on. I had never had this dish before, but would definitely get it again. All 3 of us really liked our meal. The overall experience was good. I am taking off one point for the service and uncomfortable bar, otherwise I would give the food a 5.

What a find in Reidsville. This place belongs in Downtown Raleigh but I sure am glad it’s here. Shepard Pie, Bangers and Mash and we lucked up and they had Corn Beef Hash and Corn Beef and Cabbage. Looking forward to coming back and bringing some friends. This place is too great not to share. Not a drinker but might I add the Beer selections were top notch. No Budweiser here. Come and crush a cup of Guinness.

I went here with a few of my girlfriends from college just catch up and eat. The food was very tasty and so many options. I had the Smithwick’s Ale Cheese soup because it was a rainy cool day. Hubby had the Potato Leek soup and it was more like mashed potatoes than soup but it was flavorful as well. The soup was very tasty as was my main dish of bangers and mash. I really enjoyed the gravy. There aren’t too many tables so I can see how it will get busy quickly and service was a little on the slow side but we had a larger group with several little ones as well so we didn’t mind the extra time to talk and visit. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
