Wow this must not have been a good day to dine at KC’s as this is the second critical review in one day. If first impressions are everything I will not be returning. First the good points. The restaurant’s exterior and interior were well maintained. The dining room décor looked new and was very clean and the tables were not too close together. The menu for dinner was somewhat limited but the meals leaving the kitchen looked well presented on each plate. The portions were not large but everything was reasonably priced. My 3 companions enjoyed the chowder and two had the clam cakes which were tasty. The place was busy with each table occupied which usually is a good sign that the long term establishment does do some things right. Finally, the server remained polite when we requested separate checks. Unfortunately the review does not end here. Now the bad points. As a first time visitor I entered the front door and requested a table for four and was told there would be a small wait which was fine. A server, not a hostess wrote the info down. We saw a table clear and before we were called another couple from the back grabbed the table without being escorted by a hostess. Apparently, a side back side entrance exists with a sign displayed tonight«Seat yourself». Once we were seated we witness another party who appeared to take a table from other people who had been waiting prior. The menu pricing was confusing too for what I ordered. I saw a casear salad for $ 5.49 and a casear salad with added chicken for $ 8.79. I asked the waitress if chicken could be added to the $ 4.99 garden salad and what the up charge was. I was quoted«around $ 3.50» but when I received the bill I was charged $ 9.99, or $ 5.00 more. That’s quite a difference in price. Thankfully the chicken portion was nice and the chicken was moist. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with 2 tomatoes pieces 2 slices of cucumbers and two small onion slices. The server was okay but not extremely friendly but in fairness she was busy. Still, she never offered to refill the drinks but I requested a second coffee which was quickly refilled. She dropped off the checks and then asked if we wanted anything else. Two people each ordered the apple crisp which was a large portion but they both thought the dessert was too sweet. In summary, the setting and the food was fine but the service and price policy needs to be improved. Hate to criticize a small business but hope this review, if read by arrangement leads to an increase business in the long run.

Stopped in with my wife for breakfast. I got two eggs that were supposed to be over medium but were under cooked. The eggs were fresh but a little runny for me. The coffee was excellent and the service was pretty good. My wife got a «scramble» with linguica and cheese. It was more like an omlette but she said it was good. Our meals were inexpensive. Two breakfasts with endless coffee for $ 25 including a 20% tip.

Came here on Sunday for breakfast. It was wonderful. I was just in the mood for some buttermilk pancakes. There pancakes are delicious and are big. I definitely recommend getting bacon also. It is delicious and crisp. Also on Sundays they only serve breakfast which I believe is till 2 pm. You have to check there website. Definitely recommend this place for some great delicious food!

We’re going there today! I’m very excited. I’ve yet to try barbecue on Saturday nights, I hear the pork falls off the bone and the smoky flavor from the smoker is delish! I’m not sure what I’ll have today, maybe I’ll choose the chowder n clam cakes. Light airy and loaded with clams, yum!

We come to KP often for breakfast and love it! We decided to come for the new BBQ on the weekends. We are happy we did, very good Ribs and the corn bread was awesome! Staff is pleasant and the food is great! It’s evident that the chef is really passionate about the food and always come out to check up on everyone.

Very pleasantly surprised! We’re particular but this place is great. Excellent, fresh seafood. We had delicious clam cakes & chowder(choice of red or white). I had whole fried clams which were delicious and my wife had a fresh roasted turkey dinner which she loved. Really fresh food with something for everyone and some fabulous desserts. The staff is very friendly and the chef(owner?) came into the dining area more than once to ask patrons how everything was. Very clean throughout too. You’ll like it and the prices are very reasonable. (Lobster Roll looked fantastic.)

I had a great Friday night meal here recently. When I asked if I could only have one piece of fish and a few fries, the manager, Johnny, came out to make sure I knew it would be a small portion. I was fine with that, as Americans in general have become pigs to a trough, and I didn’t want a larger meal. My food came out almost immediately, and the amount was exactly right. I am an older person who cannot finish the enormous heaps of food Americans have come to expect and I was very happy that the staff worked with me to serve me a great(and satisfying) meal. I would also like to complement the waitstaff. My server was Missy, who, in spite of the place jamming on a Friday night,(nice to see, btw) could not have been more gracious. As a side note, a friend who used to live in Rehoboth and moved to Flordia, is coming back for a visit and«cannot wait to go to KP for REAL fish & chips. Apparently they use warm water fish in FL and it is just not the same… Highly recommend the KP. Both for the food, the staff’s attention to customers, and their willingness to grant special requests. Thank you!

Yesterday my husband and I had fish and chips here and were disappointed. The fish wash razor thin, not ¼ inch thick and about 1 ½“x 4″. It was very dry although the light batter was good. Only one of us got fries, but the quantity of fries could have easily served 4. Something about the taste of the fries didn’t appeal to either of us. Not sure if it was the skins being left on or a spice that was used. I order fish and chips often and have never been served such a thin sliver of fish. It’s no wonder it was dried out in the process of batter frying it. Admittedly, I was surprised by the low price on the menu for«fish only(no fries),» which was $ 5.99 and wondered what I’d get for that price, but took the chance because I wanted to avoid the fries. I got 2 tiny pieces that couldn’t have been more than 2 ounces total. My husband got the«regular» size fish and chips for $ 9.99 and got a third small piece of fish. Even though we liked the batter, it didn’t compensate for the small quantity of dried fish and unappealing fries. I understand that owners are trying to lower their costs and can’t raise prices in these lean times, but this cannot be the way to do it. If it can’t be done well at a lower price point, maybe consider replacing it with something that can be. I enjoyed this place more when it was a diner serving mainly home-style meals, but since becoming a modern«grill,» it has been hit or miss, with some great breakfasts, like eggs Benedict, mixed with many more unremarkable, and even disappointing meals. They may be better off doing less and doing it well. The owner genuinely seems to want his customers to be happy and personally came out to greet and check on us, but I didn’t have the heart to tell him what we thought at the time because I think he’s in a difficult situation trying to earn a living. I really empathize with his position during these tough economic times, but I feel like they need to get some professional advice to turn this place around.

I went for lunch. Great little spot. Service was friendly and the manager even came out to check on my food. Well cooked, and well priced. It was a little cold the day I went but it was freezing outside so they may have just been doing their best with the heat.

Great food all made in house. No frozen foods. Made fresh daily. Some reAllly good specials too. Great prices. Great service. Can’t ask for anymore than that in a small town like rehoboth. Sure blows the nearby competitor away in both service and food quality.

The seafood is exceptionally fresh and very well prepared. The service is friendly and attentive. We drive 85 miles to eat there and go several times a year. The calamari is the best we’ve ever had.

We’ve eaten at the KP Grille many times while driving to and from the cape. One of my favorites is the clam cakes and chowder. The cakes are light and airy and loaded with clams. The kids love the fish and chips. My wife loves the prime rib. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is good. We had wings and mixed them up with a bunch of different sauces not realizing that the prices go up much higher! We both had burgers that were good and the wings were good. It would had been nice if the server reminded us that the wing price would go up due to amount of flavors we were trying. The waiter was always checking on us and we never waited long to order.

Horrible experience. Food was cold, long wait time, even the coffee was bad. Better off at Palmer river clam shack.

My first experience at KP Grille was today for breakfast. When we entered, there was a nice little table for two in the corner that almost seemed to be waiting for us, so we had a seat at it. Within a minute or two we were greeted, given menus and asked for a drink order. Everything we had was very good, the food was hot and well presented. The only thing I don’t care for is that they used unpeeled red potatoes for their home fries. I am not a big fan of red potatoes, but that’s just me. Our server was pleasant and reasonably prompt. Food was served to use fairly quickly after ordering, and everything was as we had ordered it. I will definitely call this a good experience, and I expect I’ll be returning again for breakfast. maybe even dinner… I’d like to see them peel their potatoes and get rid of the red ones. Also, it’d be nice if they got themselves a waffle machine. Other than that, pretty darn good meal!

Great place! The fish is fresh and by far best in the area. Breakfast? Go for the Crab Cake Benedict! Diner baked fish or chowder and clam cakes which have a clam in ever bite! That was then and this is now! Have been coming here for 2 years. Last Tuesday we received burnt bacon. Today 4÷2÷2013 I was served a bad over cooked omelet with cold beans and coffee that looked like mud. Too bad but I will not be coming back. Watch out for Tuesdays. Oh and sorry about my last review the clam cakes were great at one point but now under cooked and clam less.

My husband and I love the KP Grille! It’s a convenient and consistently good place to eat on our way home, traveling Route 44 from Middleboro to Seekonk, on Friday evenings! The food is always fresh and plentiful! I always feel like I’m getting a home cooked meal, and usually take half of the dinner home with me. The menu doesn’t scream heart healthy, but there are some choices that would fall into that category too. It’s a busy little place but we’ve never had to wait more than 5 — 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant is super clean with a cheerful and updated décor!
