I love coffee, but the Café American here was watered down and bitter. I was disappointed and went to another coffee shop to get a better tasting coffee. I wouldn’t go back as the man at the register didn’t seem to really care about whether I was happy with the coffee or not.

Excellent coffee, possibly one of the best at Rehoboth. Many flavors to choose from. Decently priced.

Everything about The Coffee Mill screams amazing! Let’s start with most important the coffee. Every coffee starts with fresh ground beans from a wall of beans to choose from. My wife always ordered the #6. Hazelnut coffee. She said it was the best she’s drank. I always ordered a vanilla caramel latte. Amazing!!! Now let’s move on to the sandwiches. My wife and I had the Mel’s power sandwich twice. Very good sandwich with all fresh ingredients. Toasted 9 grain bread, egg white, turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato. You could also choose ham or salmon as a meat. Lastly and to me most important let’s talk about the employees. They were all very professional. They took pride in what they were making you. Mel, the owner, was there every morning we stopped in and was very welcoming. He took pride in running his business and it showed by the constant lines out the door. A must stop if you enjoy true coffee and not that Starbucks garbage.

Cute little coffee place! The workers know their stuff and the coffee is pretty delicious. I’ve been here several times and it’s always been a good experience. I like that they have such a huge selection of milks, coffees, and syrups. They could basically make you anything you asked for! A little pricey but worth the indulgence when I’m down by the beach!

Good coffee. High prices. Bitchy staff. The attitude is like coming to Studio 54, and the owner is as flamboyant as Steve Rubell.

A little on the pricey side but they have a wide variety of coffees and a nice outside seating area. They also offer almond, coconut and soy milk.

Stopped in here on a whim to get a smoothie. No wonder Mel doesn’t post the smoothie prices on the chalkboard menu, because nobody would order one. Nine bucks. I mean, it was a good smoothie, but come on. Gimme a break.

Had two lox bagels and two coffee drinks $ 29… I don’t mind paying the $ 10 per lox bagel, if it would have had a good amount of salmon and toppings on it… Unfortunately it didn’t! There was mayyyyyyyyyyybe 1 oz of salmon, if that, probably the littlest amount of salmon on a lox bagel I’ve ever been served… Onions, capers, tomatoes and cream cheese was served quite sparingly as well. Not even cream cheese on each side of the bagel, meaning a half of the bagel was just a plain half with nothing on it… Coffee was tasty! I like the large selection of beans they have there. I would recommend stopping in for coffee and passing on the bagel. Pastries looked tasty! But I did not try any, maybe next time. One note: there was a bunch of fruit flies hovering around the entire place.

Honestly one of the worst-tasting cups of espresso I’ve ever had. My iced Americano tasted more like a weak iced tea. Not worth the visit.

Most expensive mediocre coffee and bagel I have ever eaten. But, what can you expect. It’s a beach town. Word of advice. Check how they ring up your order. I had a bagel and cream cheese. According to the menu it should be $ 3.50. I was charged $ 9.00 for lox spread… But, didn’t get lox and the bagel wasn’t toasted. Feeling cheated.

This place, okay the blonde barista, makes the best white mocha you will ever try in your life! Forget Starbucks. Very friendly place where you don’t feel rushed. Way too many coffee options. Get ready to read and be taken by surprise!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Rehoboth this past weekend and I’m all about supporting local shops in town, especially local seasonal shops, opposed to the big corporate places(here’s looking at you Starbucks, which was available as well…). I know we probably stood out like sore-thumbs as tourist and probably have ‘NYC tourists’ written across our foreheads but always expect the same kind of respect, reciprocated. Day 1. We walked in to The Coffee Mill and were greeted by a very happy, young and lovely gentleman who was overwhelmed, yet welcomed the busy crowd and was very accommodating. Our orders were correct, prompt and delicious! Day 2. An older, rather bothered, not nearly as jolly or lively gentleman takes my order, but whatever, didn’t effect me at all. I place the same order as the previous day; ‘a small frozen vanilla latte, light on the vanilla syrup or powder– whichever, just not too sweet please’. He calls the order in and tells me «that’ll be five and a half» Now… The menu clearly states: Frozen Vanilla or caramel latte’s $ 4.50 small $ 5.50 large. (Please refer to picture I’ve included) I confirm that it’s a ‘small’ and question if it should be $ 4.50. He says, «no no it’s $ 5.50». I point to the menu written on the huge chalkboard above and behind him, and explain that it clearly says $ 4.50. He mumbles something that makes absolutely NOSENSE about charging extra for the vanilla. Funny, bc the menu not only says«frozen VANILLA latte», but I actually asked for less of it. The place is extremely cramped inside and pretty crowded. I suck it up and figured my pride and time were worth more than the $ 1 he was hustling me for, but just wait until you come to my hometown and get hustled $ 25 for a dirty water dog! I was so extremely insulted over the fact that he hustled me. The remainder of our stay and from here forward, we will only visit Café A ‘Go Go again, another great place with great food, but HONEST and not insulting!

Great little coffee shop! The drinks are reasonably priced(no Starbucks!) and there are always several special coffee flavors from which to choose. They offer some small food options and smoothies. The coffee is delicious! I have them a 4 because the one gentleman working there is temperamental and can be quite nasty if you don’t order quickly enough or properly — reminded me of the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld.

Stopped in here to grab some coffee. got an iced mocha but saw they had snickerdoodle and asked to change after they made it— did so without a problem and holy cow glad they did… snickerdoodle iced coffee was amazing! The owner was pretty silly. Would go back here. Didnt enjoy the chocolate crescent too much though

Very cool coffee shop with all the usual amenities and more. It’s nicely tucked away down the quite alley with patio tables out front. But, damn. Reviewers here are not exaggerating about the owner’s demeanor. This guy is a perfect candidate for a personality transplant. You’d swear he was pissed at you for coming into his store. He’s like a sitcom coffee Nazi. What is it dude? An act? Do you think it adds an eccentric«charm» or is it just how you are? I personally don’t care too much about that. I’m not a very social person and only demand civility– not even politeness. But wouldn’t you think this guy would get the message his behavior is probably hurting business? Portions may be another downer here– the«double shot» espresso” I always order is much closer to a single shot anywhere else.

Small business rule #1 Don’t be a jerk to customers. Being a jerk can be an asset when running a business. Negotiating contracts, pricing and managing people can sometimes benefit. Unfortunately customers can smell a jerk. In the case of this place they can also hear him. I have been a casual customer here over the years. This guy is friendly one day and rude the next. He is always barking at his help. Then he smiles across the counter for the next order. Coffee is good and the pastry cart is filled with goodies. But this quality can be found elsewhere in Rehoboth. The line often extends out the door. When this happens someone always barks to close the door. Good problem to have? Finally, I will post a photo of what makes this a special kind of jerk. As you order they have sample cups stacked so you can see the sizes — small med and large. Each cup has a note with the ounce limit. Apparently they have trouble with people touching the cups. So they have more sticky notes asking not to lift the cups. Is that such a problem that you need all that signage? Or are you just an impatient jerk? Hard to stay in the coffee shop business these days with a Starbucks on every corner.
