Carlton’s is tough for my Big and Tall husband. For ladies the dresses bags and accessories are great. Ask for Francine, she is very stylish honest and will get you something that is flattering and respectful of your budget. Not pushy – love her. I wish they sold shoes!

Was not more than 50 ft from front door when Salesman closed store at 5:45PM. Guess they don’t want my business.

A longtime presence on the main drag in Rehoboth, Carlton’s caters to a variety of patrons. You’ll find everything from preppy to urban-hipster to casual-work to formal. The service is highly accommodating and personalized; the owners have imbued a dedication to customer service throughout the staff. Don’t miss the great accessories and gorgeous furs in the women’s section. If you need alterations, they have a terrific seamstress on-staff.

The last thing I would expect on a beach boardwalk is a high-end clothier for older men and women. The store mostly carries casual sportswear with the occasional dress and linen blazer. Cape Madras, Agave, and Vineyard Vines are among the broad selection of preppy brands at this store. Interesting layout, menswear in the front of the store leading to women’s and clearence farther back and there is almost an equal amount space given to the men’s and women’s section as opposed to the traditional emphasis on women’s clothing with menswear tossed in the back as an afterthought. The staff are calm and extremely helpful, the antithesis of the rest of the shops on this boardwalk. A kind older gentleman in a seersucker jacket guided me throughout their merchandise and informed me they were selling 3 polos for $ 200, Lacoste, Psycho Bunny, Burberry: mix-and-match! As I surveyed the store I noticed that most of the merchandise was too old for me, so I took my polos and ran. Four stars for the classy store and service, minus one star for the old man threads.
