Do not go here because last year my mom came there to get a facial because she felt like it so she went one day and neli started working on her like a regular facial so she put on disposable glove on and started squeezing on her face to clean her face apparently. My mom told her Stop it hurts and she said no its supposed to be like that. you do not do a facial with hands you use a machine for it. and then she left to do something for a minute So she took her gloves off and then came back and put the same gloves BACK ON it was crazy. there was so many germs and bacteria on those gloves. So they charged my mom 175 and she left so the next day my mom started to have a irritation all over her face. and she got swollen for the next week her skin was so
was like an allergic
she went back and said to neli look what happened fix it so she suggested this cream for her and she said it’s 100 dollars so my mom bought it we looked up online how much it costed and it was ONLY 25 DOLLARS so she charges us 75 dollars MORE so we went back and asked her for a refund cause we can buy it for cheaper and she said no so my mom said I am going to sue you and neli is like no please. Me and my mom found out she was not licensed to do facials she was working on her sons license and that’s illegal but we were thinking let’s just leave and never think of this again she will receive her punishment from god and still to this day my mom can’t put on regular makeup otherwise she would swell up like a beehive I recommend not coming here so I would give this 0 stars I wish.

Sorry for late review! Got my hair done few months ago but figured I should give a shout-​out to a great experience. Ask for ALBINA. I love experts at their profession. Someone who’s calm with her scissors but great in social nature, seemed to me that she knew what she’s doing. (Older but really considerate reception lady asked me handing me a magazine if I wanted a glass of wine while I waited for my turn. I laughed and declined. It was 12pm Wednesday! Lol.) Showed her some pictures of the cut and look that I desired and she said «sure! It will look great!» That response is hard to find at many salons. Why? Many times, I’ve experienced that average stylist are comfortable with few cuts that they are confident in cutting… And usually, I’ll end up cutting off few inches with normal layering. I’ve always heard, that true stylists are those that can handle a great cut. I also walked in with long dried out hair, but walked out with beautifully conditioned hair (after the recommended treatment of course)
To be honest, at first glance, I wasn’t quite sure about walking in from the look of the shop outside but at times I have learned the benefits of refraining to judge by its cover. Awesome boutique salon service with great prices. They «recommended» me to by moroccan oil and hair pack which came out to $ 80 something (more than what I paid for my cut and treatment– $ 45? Surprised at the great price) but when I compared it to the market price, the salon did give a good discount.

First off, make sure to get the cost of your WHOLE service & get it in writing before sitting down. Don’t buy the Unilocal deal, groupons or any deals on their site bc they won’t honor them.
I went here based on reviews of fellow Unilocalers, Facebook & Google. I’m so beyond sorry that I stepped foot in this place. I want my soft, silky beautiful hair back.
I showed the receptionist Neli a pic of what I wanted (balayage) & that I wanted a trim, asked how much it would cost, she called her boss Albert who told her 155. I told her I was going to use the Unilocal deal, 115 for a 150 gift certificate. She wasn’t aware of the deal & called the owner again & said he’ll charge $ 120, don’t bother w/​the Unilocal deal. I said ok, BIG MISTAKE! I should’ve walked out right then & wish I had.
I showed my stylist Nicole the same pic, told her my wedding was next month, I wanted something subtle, natural looking & no regrowth. She teased my hair & put bleach & foils all over my head (including the top) I told her my hair takes to bleach very fast. I sat w/​bleach on my hair for 1hour! My hair was yellow & white & way over processed. She put a toner in & left me sitting w/​my head in a sink for another hour. Started blow drying & I was horrified at how my hair looked. It was a mix of Cruela Deville & Gemma from Sons of Anarchy. I was SO upset. Nicole told me I looked like I was 18 again & what color dye to buy to put on the top of my head to get rid of the streaks she put in.
Time to pay, Neli starts arguing w/​me about the price I owed. Now it was $ 165! Where did that come from? Was telling me I’m crazy & don’t listen, she never said $ 120. There was a lot of back & forth, calling of the owner again. I said I’ll use the Unilocal deal & pay w/​that. She told me the GROUPON wasn’t for ombré(I wanted balayage). I said I wasn’t trying to use a groupon, it was a Unilocal deal. Again, told me its not for ombré, so I tried to explain the way the certificate works, THE Unilocal DEAL IS A GIFT CERTIFICATE! It doesn’t say that it is or is not for a specific service! Now I was in tears b/​c of my hair & so worked up about this argument. They called the owner AGAIN & he said to charge me $ 120 & sorry for the inconvenience.
I gave Nelli my credit card, she charged me $ 130? I was so upset & now VERY late for work, I just signed the receipt & threw a $ 20 bill on the counter, said it was tip (wish I didn’t)& ran out crying. I was there for 4.5hrs.
Got a call 15 mins later from another stylist, saying she felt terrible about the way I left & that the owner Albert was going to fix my hair free of charge, they all felt so bad & made me an appointment.
For 2.5 hours Albert tried to fix the mess. A nice girl Tina was assisting, blew out my hair b/​c he wanted to see the color. It was OK. Better than before, but still not what I wanted & VERY ashy. At least I didn’t look like 18 yr old who had an accident w/​bleach.
Albert asked Neli to give me a business card, so I went to the front. Here’s where they lost every star. Tina, you are the 1 star this place is getting. Neli told me its $ 40 for the blow out. I said wait, what? No. You guys said come back free of charge. My hair was ruined here, free of charge doesn’t mean $ 40 for a blow out. She goes to Albert, he tells her to charge me $ 35. I then went to Albert to talk to him, asked him to go to the front so I didn’t speak in front of a client.
I asked how he is charging me for a blow out? I paid $ 150 weds for my hair to be ruined, told to come back free of charge & you’re going to charge me for a blow out? This is where he got nasty & told me I’m wrong, I need to pay, he did me a favor by fixing my hair, it’s only $ 35, it’s not a big deal. I went on to explain I shouldn’t have even had to come back, if anything, I should be getting my $ back & if I knew I was going to be charged for a blow out, I would have walked out w/​a wet head. Back & forth w/​him, telling me I’m wrong.
He told me to pay the $ 35 or leave and never come back, so I started to explain again how I was mislead… He tapped me on my shoulder & said to leave & don’t come back.
For the 2^nd time, I left this salon furious & upset. My hair is now SO OVERPROCESSED, DRY & RUINED! My wedding is next month & I really wish I never stepped foot in this place. DON’T GO HERE!

I came here for a Brazilian wax. Avoid at all cost please for sanitary reasons! If I could give it a 0 star if I could.
When I arrived there was only one lady (Neli) working there. It was also a hair salon and even though there was no customer the hair weren’t swept. She led me downstairs but before my session, I asked to use the ladies room. We went back up and when I came out of the bathroom, the lady was sweeping the hair. We went back down and the paper covering (the ones they use in doctor office) on the bed did not look like it had been change since last customer. The lady did not wash her hands (after sweeping the floors) nor wear gloves. She didn’t give me privacy to undress. As she was working on me, she showed me she use chocolate wax but I also saw her double dip. Throughout the whole wax, she used one big stick and one small stick and kept reusing one or two Muslim strip over and over again to remove the wax and hair. I was so shocked that she double dip that I could not ask her to stop right away. She was very fast and the hair that weren’t removed by the wax, she did not take care of it using tweezer or other methods but left it there. After she was done, I wanted to examine myself and get dress but she did not leave the room again to give me some privacy. Now I am hoping I did not catch any diseases.
Overall, this place is NOT clean at all. Please avoid at all cost.

I bought a groupon for myself I would have to say I love this place. I got a Brazilian wax. It was the fastest wax I’ve ever gotten. I’m a very happy camper. Neli was funny, made you feel very comfortable. Def would recommend to anyone.

I went here with my groupon. Which was Brazilian wax for 22 dollars. As I’m on the table getting waxed the lady says to me if u want in between ur buttocks waxed its 10 dollars more. That’s very rude to tell your customers it’s more money to do a service that’s already included that’s why it’s a Brazilian wax and not a bikini wax. Before u go ask if there is any extra charges for the services provided.

Albert should be a celebrity hair stylist. He is the only one allowed to come near my hair with scissors. His cuts are flawless and he will replicate any style you show/​ask for. He is the only one that knows how to cut my long, straight, beautiful hair and leave me with cascading layers that don’t look too choppy.

Went in for a full head blong highlights and boy was I disappointed! !!! The owner did the job and it was awefull when I specifically told him that I dont want to see different colors in my hair I left looking like a 10 years old did it for me. This place is totally not professional. They overbook so be prepared to wait forever even though you have an appointment. I would never go to this place again there are too many salons around, I will gladly spend my money somewere else.

I love this place! Been coming here for years! Albert has magic hands and really knows his work. He enjoys what he does and makes sure all his clients leave satisfied. I highly recommend him to all my family members and friends.

Went here for my first wax and was pleased. Neyia was very nice and made me feel comfortable. She was fast and made sure I was ok the whole time. I did leave a bit sticky so not sure if that is normal. I was also charged $ 15 extra towards my groupon which was $ 22 for a brazilian. I hope that is normal and was not douped out of money. I am happy with the results.

Love this place! It’s been almost 10 yrs since my first visit here… The salon is immaculate, the staff is professional and friendly, the schedule is very accommodating, and Albert the fabulous hair dresser and owner is always keeping up with the latest trends and he never disappoints. I highly recommend this fab salon!!!

So I got a groupon for a Brazilian and eyebrow wax. I have only got a Brazilian twice before. Literally, it has been years since I have done it. It was extremely painful but with that being said Nellie was great. We laughed, cried and screamed and she even gave me wine. Yeah, it was that bad I have a very low threshold for pain. I am 100% satisfied and I do know she did it as painless as possible. Under the circumstances and I ended up having a good time. Will return for more!

Got a living social deal for a brazilian and eye brows. The staff was amazing they made me feel so pampered. They talked to me, took my jacket, it was great. Its a small place on a side street so it could be easy to miss, but the staff would make it all worth it if you find it.

Top Secret is the only salon that I ALWAYS walk out of happy with my cut and color. Albert is fantastic, personable, and really listens to what you want and recommends what he thinks will look best. There are some days that I’ll just tell him to do what he thinks will look good and I’ve always liked it! I have been receiving compliments on my hair and color since I began going to Albert in 2006. I no longer live in the area but still come back to Albert for my hair. I’ve since recommended my friends to go there and they’ve had great experiences. It’s a cute little salon with a great staff that goes out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and enjoying your time there.

I love how my hair turned out! Nicole turned my hair from a dry, ratty mess into something I never thought could be achieved! The deep conditioning treatment, shampoo and even the coffee are definitely worth coming back for!
