We were soooo disappointed with this place. I hardly ever write anything negative, but have to for this place. The reviews say Dee is very friendly, and he can be quite chatty and seemingly friendly, but it’s deceiving. The drapes they installed were really outdated (think Motel 6), and while Dee assured me that he could get a sense of my style, after the drapes were installed, it wasn’t at all what I liked. And after that, he refused to come back and fix it unless I paid him again. He offered a slight discount for making changes, but took no responsibility for putting in drapes I really didn’t like based on his assurances that they’d work with me.
If you want anything that’s more up-​to-​date looking, don’t go here. Also if you don’t want to waste a lot of money on something that you might possibly not like at all, don’t go here. I am going to have to completely re-​do the drapes in one room completely on my own dime after paying over $ 1000. Was so frustrated and really wanted to like this place. Trust me… I’m not a harsh critic, and I tried several times to talk to Dee afterwards to tell him why I didn’t like the job he did, but he wasn’t working with us and didn’t seem interested in customer satisfaction.

The owner, Dee is an amazing resource. He has designed and custom made all the window coverings for the floor to ceiling glass walls of windows in my S.F. highrise. My experience with Dee & his company has spanned many years. He is a rare combination of technical knowledge and design talent. He has written 3 books on the subject. His expertise is invaluable & his prices are more than reasonable. Custom drapes and window treatments can be a daunting project. Being able to rely on Dee from the design phase, to having the window treatments made, to the installation is such a benefit for his clients. There is no one better in the bay area!

I knew that I wanted roman shades deep down inside, but was leaning towards roller shades for all the wrong reasons. Dee was very intuitive and told me emphatically that roman shades were definitely the way to go. He also told me that he would make them slat-​back free-​of-​charge to give them more interest than a flat roman shade, which can look like a bedsheet when it’s all the way down. I am so glad that I went with Dee’s suggestion; they turned out even better than I expected and I love how they allow sunlight into the room, but the privacy lining doesn’t allow a silhouette to show through. I love how intuitive Dee is and how emphatic he is in his suggestions. He’s been in this business a long time and has written 3 books on window treatments, so he knows what he’s talking about. Bottom line: FOLLOW HIS ADVICE!
