the salad bar which just keeps on giving. Oh yeah, there’s 50 other items to try, but the soups and salads are fresh and awesome!

I was lucky enough to tag along with someone that works here. Stopped by for a short visit and a bit of a longer stop for some food :) I think much of the creative brains with the left side leading is under this roof. Haven’t seen the real Oscars awards statue until today.(no pics allowed) What can I say? The cafeteria is top notch! I enjoyed the free food a lot! Thanks a lot J. R!

YAY! What fun! got to meet Oscar… signed my NDA… got a tiny sneak peek at what’s coming up… and then CHOWEDDOWN at the café while surrounded by talented, fun, funny, friendly PDI/Dreamworks peeps! And I especially loved the telepresence room… didn’t get to go to all the rooms though… top secret! sssshhh! I’m a fan… they’re super!

I enjoyed my tour of Dreamworks PDI. Upon arriving at the reception desk, not only were we asked to sign in and wear a visitor’s badge, we were required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Keeping secrets is part of my living as a full time magician, so that shouldn’t be much of a problem. We were told that we could take pictures but could not post pictures of the real Oscar’s award featured in the front lobby. As we toured the four floors we were surrounded by creativity and many movie story boards and larger than life posters. After the tour we headed off to our free lunch. The lunch was quite generous similar to the lunches I was accustomed to working at Paypal. I especially enjoyed the egg salad. My friend arranged for us to meet with the HR director and I entertained her and few of the execs with a quick close-up show. Not only did I get a tour, I’m looking forward to entertaining at their upcoming holiday party!

another class tour… this time at PDI /Dreamworks in Redwood City. The building is located in the boonies… alongside a rock quarry and an extensive salt field. this review is for their cafeteria… they have daily specials. their main courses are broken up into 3 catergories: 1) Soup 2) Entrée and 3) Vegetarian. The day i was there for a tour they were serving some kind of soup I didn’t try(i forgot the name…) italian sausage lasagna, and make your own baked potato. everything is homemade — straight from the kitchen — so the food is fresh. and as far as appetizers/treats, they had an array of items… all the way from mushroom pizza, to pasta salad, icee machines, coffee machines, soft serve machines, fresh juice machines, mixed berry custard(yum!), to a full fledged salad and fruit bar. i tried everything i could and they were all great in taste in value… more also in value(maybe because it adds to my perception in how good it tastes.) because everything was F-R-E-E! the company sure does feed their employees well. befriend or become someone in the Animation /Film industry pronto!
