Hands down super knowledgeable staff and very patient with customers. They have a bit of everything, but I came looking for pocket door hardware and they very carefully explained to me how each of their different styles worked. I know it’s a bit of a drive and they’re closed on weekends, but if you need something, this is a great place to go.

This hardware store is excellent and they have it all — extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff along with any basic to hard-​to-​find item (I can attest)! Daniel and Kevin were very patient in explaining what I had to with cabinet bracket replacements as well as saving money and ultimately solving my problem. Highly recommend!

Kevin Cooper is awesome! He very patiently gave a detailed description as to how to fix my home repair issue. I had gone to the local Ace & they sold me some hardware, didn’t work. Then I went to the local Big Box store & they sold me some more, which didn’t work.
Keven spent the time to tell me what to do after carefully listening to the particulars. He then mapped out what needed to be done. He’s not even an old geezer! He knows his stuff.
Can’t wait to go back with the next issue & solve the next issue of the day: they tell & hey, I can fix it now!

My uncle found this place and we came here yesterday after lunch at Haus Staudt (see my review) to find some wheather stripping and the guy was very nice, thoroughly taking the time to listen and get us exactly what we needed. Of course, they carry every door, door accessory, bathroom and kitchen cabinets and accessories, and everything hardware; they even have a dedicated showroom for cabinets. Fyi they carry so many manufacturers that they cannot show them all in the showroom, but will be glad to get whatever you do not see out front from the back. It is cool too how these guys network with contractors in the area and have their cards at the counter and only recommend the best. So, for a wonderful selection of hardware and building supplies at reasonable prices with friendly service in a clean atmosphere, General Hardware cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

I had a good experience here. The person who helped me knew what he was doing, was efficient, and explained clearly what I should do to fix my door knob. It took some time to get helped because he was the only there, but I was happy with the service he provided. It seemed to me that the two people before me also left satisfied.
Would return.

This place has got it all! And they are friendly and helpful.
