Evans Pest Management & Tree Care

I’m only giving 1 star because the main guy seemed initially friendly and prompt in returning calls. We had a paper wasp problem a while back in our home, and I called this company because I was having trouble finding anyone who could help. I can now write this review because I hired someone else who actually took care of the problem, the ROOT of the problem which was blocking the wasp path inside our attic (clear skies pest management!!! awesome). I was pregnant at the time and did not want to use chemicals. We (well, my landlord) was charged 400 dollars because I was told that he needed to bring another guy up on our roof to check out the problem, and it was a liability, and the extra charge for the non-​toxic organic spray.
Well, the next day after assessing our situation, ONLY the main guy showed up, but we were still charged 400 dollars, for maybe what took 20 minutes of work going up on the roof and spraying something. He should have charged us less since he did not bring the other person. I felt ripped off because:
1) 400 $ is not cheap and he did not even bring the 2^nd guy! He should have given us a discount at that point.
2) The problem was not taken care of. We were only given a 30 day guarantee, but of course the problem occurred again several months later when we had a new baby in the house.
3) He tried to sell us the services of his buddy who is a contractor to install extra fine mesh on the roof, which would have been an additional cost to us. He should have offered to do this himself instead of telling me to hire his buddy– shady.
Comparison with Clear Skies– Eric came over to check out the place, within 5 minutes diagnosed the problem, and do some initial work, but did not charge our landlord until he was COMPLETELY finished the job– he went out and blocked the entry point of the wasps from our attic. He even went to home depot and got all the necessary parts. No chemicals needed, which is important as I have a new baby around! He recognized that and took care of the problem, and I have not noticed the wasps showing up for months during a high-​wasp season! They literally disappeared after the problem was fixed.
Highly disappointed with the integrity of this company and would not do business again.

We’ve used Evan’s Pest Management twice and it has been a great experience. We have a spider problem and this was a very easy and effective service to stop our stressful spider infestation problem! Thanks so much for your help Nathaniel!
