C’est La Vie Salon

ugh I dread doing a negative review but the truth must be told. I had come in for a girls day out with my mother and sister and Diana worked with us all. She is a very sweet lady and was trying to be very attentive, however the skill was not at all there. For starters what bothered me was that she used a nail file to give a pedi with, I’m sorry but i could have went to my local beauty supply and bought a nail file and scrubbed my feet at home and done a better job. Also, I can NOT stand when people constantly try to up-​sale you its really just annoying and rude, seriously. The nail polish was way to «watered down» with acetone and started to chip by the end of the day. To top the cake she filed my nails to the point where they lost their strength and ended up breaking two days later, never have i had that happen anywhere else.
I will not be back, and its a shame because Diana was very friendly but just not what I’m looking for in a nail tech.

I can’t report on other services, but for a pedicure, Yan is my favorite after trying many salons. Yan is personally a pleasure to talk to and be with, and I feel good about helping her send her son to college! She is attentive, thorough, and – this is really important for me – truly goes after my callouses! She also gives a great massage and does beautiful, and inexpensive, original decorative designs on my toenails! (She’s been doing my «Minnie Mouse» toenails for months now.) She’s pretty busy and occasionally I have to go somewhere else, but I’m always thrilled to be back having Yan take care of my feet. I get the regular pedicure with regular (rather than hot stone) massage, extra long massage, no «spa» (wax) treatment and the cost is quite reasonable. I am planning to try the stylist there next. This salon is not fancy but I think at least some of the staff are very talented and considerate!

The lady working there was nice, but she had no nail skills. It’s almost like she couldn’t see well enough to be working on nails. I got french manicure done and I redid my nails myself when I got home because they turned out so horrible. My nails were not cut straight and she did not file them well so the nails kept getting caught on my sweater. The color job was what really made me want to cry. Rather than looking like nails, my nails look like two stripes — half white and half clear.
I was ecstatic to see high Unilocal rating and really relied on it. I think people who rated this place were regulars as she did seem to have great relationships with all her regular customers, but I didn’t think it was because she did great nails. I won’t go back.

I walked in and they were able to take me within 10 minutes. I got a pedicure and the staff was professional and friendly. I am definitely going back.

The $ 25 express mani/​pedi is an exceptional value! I’d never know it was express except for the price. Nhan was fantastic. Made it a very relaxing experience and did a fancy job on the nails. I’ll be back for sure.

This was the first time I went to this salon. I got a gel fill and a pedicure. The pedicure was acceptable but the gel fill was not exactly up to par. However, I did contact them and they redid the gel fill free of charge. However, within a week I had lifting and visibly yellowed areas of my nails and I had them redone elsewhere. Normally a pedi and fill last me two to three weeks but not this time. I give them high marks on a desire to do a good job and trying very hard – and high marks on professionalism.

What I can say there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING even remotely critical to say of C’est La Vie and especially of the owner Diana! Now I’ve only been once but I do plan on becoming a regular.
I usually frequent not so seedy ‘chop shop’ type places for a 40 minute and $ 20 pedicure. No more! Diana spends a full hour with you, carefully trimming your nails and cuticles, actually massaging your feet and legs and not just hacking away with a pair of trimmers and rubbing oil all over you.
2 of the best parts are 1: No sick acrylic nail solution smell! Diana refuses to use that junk. 2: Separate foot baths for the pedicures! No worrying about mysterious bacteria lurking in the tub.
