From my experiences there are two main types of employees in a gun shop. One is the friendly, knowledgeable, lifelong shooter that has a good deal of knowledge on a wide variety of guns. This type is usually happy to see a new inductee discover the hobby of shooting/collecting and patient in explaining concepts and answering questions. The other type of employee has a generally non-friendly demeanor that has(or pretends to have) a great deal of knowledge on firearms that are black, accept a picatinny rail and a myriad of useless attachments. Their initial interest in these weapons was most likely a first person online shooter. Any information they share is done so in a condescending manner with the intention of getting you out of their hair ASAP. Leo is definitely the FORMER. He met with me and answered all my questions I had related to purchasing a firearm, and showed me what he had in inventory along the lines of what I was looking for. When I am ready to purchase(which will be soon) I will definitely be going to Leo to take care of this. He also does FFL transfers and is reasonably priced compared to some of the other outlets in the Los Angeles area.

I can’t speak more highly of Leo and his company, West Coast Guns. It’s hard to find a good, reliable and friendly gun and sporting goods dealer in Southern California, and WCG is excellent in every respect. The service and attitude is absolutely the BEST of any gun dealer I’ve dealt with over the years, and this is the reason I’m writing this review. I found WCG via an online referral from and contacted them via email. They were very friendly from the beginning and accommodated my needs in every way, taking time to walk through the legal process of my purchase and also instructing me in how to set up and break in my new rifle. I’m very happy to have found this company and they will be getting all my gun related business in the future.
