I was just looking back over some old reviews and saw the hilarious response from the owner at Southbay Handyman. When the worker didn’t show up on Monday (at 10am, having said he would be back at 8am), I called Southbay Handyman. They answered the phone and said they would get back to me. An hour passed, they didn’t call back. I tried calling several times over the next hour and a half and they never answered the phone. They never once returned any of my calls, no voicemail messages whatsoever. The only response I got from them was several months later when they put a notice to pay on my door with a threaten to put a lien on the apartment. It’s not my apartment and I don’t live there. You’d be making a huge mistake if you hired them to do any work on your home.

Jim spent 5 hours between Home Depot and completing 1 task out of 3 for a charge of $ 150 plus $ 30 for materials. Very disappointing. When asking for a receipt, received handwritten on school paper.

The guy that owns it is awesome. I’ve used their service many times and time and time again, it was nothing, but good and reasonable service. I’m surprised that there is no reviews, but he’s been around for years.
Had a blown circuit today due to some carpet cleaner. Called around and was glad that Steve was available. Came over and fixed within an hour.
