North End Men’s Hairstyling

I’m a curly readhead guy and Don know curly hair to a T. Thats why he has been cutting my hair for years. He is a clipper expert as well. The Manhattan Beach Salon building is under a full re-​model construction so Don, Rob, Mike moved to Redondo Beauity @ 409 PCH #100. Its in the Whole Foods shopping center NW cornor. This is a full service beauity supply with a salon in the back. Don has the same phone number 310 545 9031.

Was referred to Rose by a friend. Made an appointment with her for today, the day before my trip to Hawaii for my 40^th Birthday.
Rose was great when we talked on the phone last week. She said she always spends at least 3 hours with new clients. I asked if going in the water in Hawaii would ruin my newly colored hair. She said it absolutely would not.
Went in for my appointment at 1pm today. Rose said she had scheduled someone for 3pm. Ok… this does NOT give her 3 hours with me. Because of this she said she would not have time to do all that we scheduled (cut and color). REALLY? She asked if I could go back at 5pm. I could not and would not. I planned my whole day around this appointment! I expressed how frustrated I was that she scheduled someone right in the middle of my appointment. She didnt apologize or seem to care in the slightest. She new I was going on a vacation for my birthday. My hair needed to be colored. How could I find someone decent to do it at the last minute? I couldn’t and will now have to wait till after vacation is over. Roots in all my pictures!!! :(
Lastly, she used the excuse that it was better I didnt get it done today anyway, because the sun and water in Hawaii would ruin it. Guess she forgot she said just the opposite when I talked to her on the phone last week.
Moral of the story: Rose is unprofessional and rude. She works at The North End Hair Salon. I would not recommend her or this salon to anyone. My friend feels horrible for sending me there.

This is a great «no nonsense» salon with great stylists. Very friendly, and all extremely talented.
Great location, as it is just above the Beach Hut (2^nd floor). It has a fabulous ocean view as well.
