Today I am disappointed. I called ahead so that I did not have to wait and my order was never processed.

I’ve only had the Mashawi Salad, and i must say, it is quite good. the lettuce is pretty plain, but the garlic butter rice is so delicious. pita chips are a nice touch. if you get it with extra rice, it is definitely a filling meal.

That babaghanoush is great — just how I like it. Chicken was pretty good and garlic sauce is fire. Next time I’ll try the beef shwarma.

Mashawi Grill is totally on my speed dial. I use this place regularly for catering my work luncheons and meetings. My clients and associates ask for it by name! The food is so good! High quality meat– steak and chicken and THEBEST hummus I’ve ever tasted. The owner told me its a traditional family recipe. Its amazing. The meat is always tender and delicious, super fresh too. This spot is great for anyone trying to eat healthy– a perfect paleo menu! Vegetarians love it too– I can eat their salad and humus with pita all day. My go to meal is the Mashawi Salad– which is a terrific meal as it has chicken, rice, pita chips, onion, cheese… so good, or the chicken breast kebab with humus and salad and steamed veggies. Its easy to find– located right across from Macaroni Grill– lots of parking. I love love love Mashawi. Easily my favorite lunch/dinner spot in the area.

Another town another shawarma another fail. The pita fell apart, dry no sauce I ordered dristor style and it was a catastrophe. The meat was flavorful though. I’ll keep searching for the best

Delicious! I wasn’t expecting much, I knew it’d be good, but it surpassed my expectations vastly. The customer service was really good too!

Good food. First timer and I will be back. Not inexpensive but worth your money. I liked the kabob steak and chicken with garlic fries. Yummm!

The food is tasty I’ll give them that. It’s the only reason they received two stars. Customer service to me is just as important as the food. The young cashier couldn’t have been nastier if she tried. I’ve been there twice. Different cashiers same useless attitude. The prices are not cheap so you’d think they could hire a better strand of folks. I’m done with this spot. There’s plenty of tasty Mediterranean spots in the area with superb staff.

Eat somewhere else. The meat was just flavorless substance with burnt dried out pieces mixed in. They were out of a couple things on the menu. They charge for any extra anything like a little side of taziki sauce. The wraps were rolled too tight so they ripped and fell apart. Generally awful.

My review is based on staff and owner. We arrived and a blackout happened in the whole block. Staff even continued to cook as much and they could using cell phone lights. Owner arrived right away and was nice, apologetic and did as much as he could to keep us happy. We waited but light never came back. We will be back to their food and then I will update this review but based on interaction they deserve five stars.

This is definitely my favorite lunch spot these days. I like to get their Mashawi salad, it really is THE best, it’s always so fresh and flavorful. I used to be a big fan of Chicken Maison around the corner but they sort of gave up on their food and is no longer tasty. I’m so happy I found this place! The girls at the front are always nice and quick to take your order. I appreciate that since I’m usually starving when I walk in and want my food ASAP :(

Mashawi Grill is my alternative choice for fast casual Mediterranean food when I want to mix things up. I usually go to Chicken Maison, but occasional I like to venture out of my comfort zone for something new. For starters, Mashawi is very clean and modern, but also has more of a owner operated feel as opposed to some of their competition that have a uniform and commercial look and feel to it. Depending on what you’re used for a restaurant, that may be a hit or a miss for you, but I like affable environments that promote restaurant serenity contrary to a noisy commercial big box chain atmosphere; You know, sometimes you just want to sit down and have a meal without all that ambient noise from the chaos going on in the restaurant. Pauline, who is behind the counter is a very friendly lady and will do her best to make sure all your needs are met while dining. Ask her for recommendations if you have any questions! As for the food, I enjoyed eating the kebab plates, but everything in general was pretty good. There was a particular one entrée that stood out from the other kebab plate entrees: $ 13.99 kebab plate with your choice of proteins. This one came with chicken and tri-trip and there were two sides included with the dish as well; I recommend the tzatziki sauce and tabouli. The entrée item’s portion is too big for one person, but not enough for two people. If I were the business owners, I’d either scale down the dish and offer it at a cheaper price or add more kebabs and increase the price to make it a shareable dish. Overall the dish is quite tasty and that’s why I would gladly add Mashawi Grill to my list of restaurants on rotation for Mediterranean cuisine. Of course, like my Mediterranean restaurants the pita is complementary with your meal.

The food here is very tasty, more so than my other Mediterranean food joints. Funny thing, I did not know this place was here, as I stopped by for a quick lunch while running errands about town I ordered the chicken kebab plate, with one skewer. I ordered it with brown rice, hummus, and a green salad. Every part of this meal was tasty. The kebab had a slight spice flavor to it, which is always great in my opinion. The brown rice was a good complement to the chicken kebab. The hummus was good, and I ate it together with the one slice of pita bread. The salad I ate last, and even that was tasty. There are limited fountain drink options, of which I chose the iced tea. All in all, the meals was very satisfying, and I walked away happy as I continued my daily grind. I recommend this place, and it is off the Inglewood Blvd exit on the 405 freeway, on the north side.

I tried their chicken kabob over rice for lunch w/2 sides; hummus & garlic fries. This time I was disappointed at the garlic fries, they didn’t taste garlicky at all. Actually I didn’t see any garlic at all, perhaps they forgot but I didn’t want to ask since it took forever to get my food. The chicken kabob was very juicy & hummus was exceptional as usual… The girls were pleasant & it wasn’t too crowded so I don’t understand why my food took forever this time. I heard the cooks having a good time laughing in the back, I just wished they would’ve made my plate & then goofed around after…

Good quality of food and great service at this quick Mediterranean restuarant. I stop by here about 3 times a month to either get a wrap(when I want a lighter meal) or a dinner chicken and tri tip dinner plate when I’m starving. The chicken shawarma wrap is slightly small but comes paired with your choice of a side for about $ 9. The mix dinner plate is packed! For about $ 12 you get what feels like a quarter chicken and an equal portion of beef. The beef is slightly less tasteful than I would have in other restaurants but the chicken is king. The plate comes with your choice of 2 sides from a list of about 10 options. I love the hummus here, plain flavor nothing fancy but it taste delicious. Plenty of parking available.

Good. Clean. Their rotisserie chicken special is a pretty good deal, but the chicken was just okay. Their lamb kabob was good. however it was such a tiny portion. I don’t think I would order that again. My friend got the combination shawarma plate and he felt like they both could have been spiced better.

***Mashawi Grill is an okay option for Mediterranean order-at-the-counter food, but nearby Chicken Maison delivers a more satisfying lunch and Harbor City’s Fiesta Grill serves up more authentic cuisine*** Mediterranean cuisine is very popular in the South Bay. Chicken Maison, which is close to Mashawi Grill, is the busiest and serves consistently well seasoned and well prepared food – meats(even lean ones) are often moist at Chicken Maison. Fiesta Grill in Harbor City doest not have as nice or as comfortable of a dining room as Chicken Maison, but its food is good and tasty and there is a greater variety of more authentic preparations. Mashawi Grill has a similar menu to those places and their chicken kebobs are pretty moist – much more moist and well seasoned than what you would find at Chicken Dijon, which often serves dry and bland chicken. Mashawi Grill’s pita is warm and good too. Their salad is okay as is their hummus, but I think their rice options are a tad odd – jasmine rice and brown rice instead of basmati rice. Service is friendly and quick at this order-at-the-counter spot. Prices are okay though I think you get bigger portions at Chicken Maison and I think Chicken Maison’s prices are lower too. Mashawi Grill is a decent lunch option for Mediterranean food though the food at Chicken Maison, which is just a few blocks away, is noticeably more delicious and a better value. Mashawi Grill is located in a retail plaza that has its own free parking lot. While you should be able to find an open parking space, this restaurant is right next to an In-N-Out so you might find yourself in a jammed parking lot during peak times.
