I needed to update our tv room to a proper home theater and called several places. Patrick from Future Automation & Design was the most professional and obviously had many years of experience.
He designed a front projection system with a drop down motorized screen and surround sound for us at reasonable prices and we were blown away with the end result. He installed and programmed a Control4 system so that we could press one button and a movie starts playing. It couldn’t be easier!
He continues to follow up with us when we need something or just to check in to make sure everything is going smoothly. You just don’t get customer service like this these days unless you call Patrick. We couldn’t recommend him enough!

Patrick and his team are outstanding. He’s a Control4 master dealer, and really knows his stuff. Helped us to sort out the mess that our original installer had made of the programming, and finally our home is integrated properly.

I was first impressed by Patrick’s incredible knowledge of AV and home theater equipment at the first consultation. He was professional, responsible, and didn’t pressure me which made the decision to go with Future Automation and Design easy. He designed an incredible home theater package for me that met my needs, budget, and (most importantly) what my wife considered aesthetically pleasing.
Installation: The day of installation went smoothly and efficiently. Patrick and his team finished the entire project in less than a day and then spent time with me to help me understand how to use system. The TVs were wall-​mounted perfectly without messy cables. I went with Control4 (which i highly recommend) for the living room and bedroom master TV remotes and Sonos amps and speakers to play music throughout the house.
Followup: Patrick continues to provide the highest level of service since the job was finished which is comforting and is a testament to the company. It’s nice to know that after such a big decision, that he stands by his product and installation.
Summary: I’ve already started raving about Future Automation & Design to my friends and family. I recommend Patrick without reservations to anyone that wants a state-​of-​the-​art home theater system and A+ customer service.

Future Automation installed a Control 4 home automation system in our home (audio/​visual and one chandelier). This was a rework /​upgrade of a previous automator’s work. Don’t go anywhere else… we did (6 months ago) and paid the price. The owner, Patrick, will accomodate your needs and keep you within your budget. There was difficulty at every turn (wiring problems, speaker locations, router, wireless channel issues…) that he faced and resolved quickly and efficiently. His product and technical recommendations were right on. We’ll probably continue with the next phase which incorporates lighting into our home automation system.

Future Automation & Design has been my go to company for home theater and home automation design for the last 7 years. They were able to upgrade our existing home theater that had a lot of issues due to a poor implementation from an another company. He is extremely reliable, knowledgeable and friendly. They are great at educating the customer about new technologies available to make your life easier by being able to control all your home entertainment devices through one central device. I highly recommend them for your next project.

I used to work for a company that installed home theater equipment so I get calls pretty regularly from friends asking me to help them out. When my friend moved down to the Santa Monica area I couldn’t make it down to help him out so he asked me if I could suggest a place that could help him out with, in his words, making his home look smart. I suggested putting a pair of glasses on his house but he wasn’t going for that. I made a few calls to some of the people I used to work with and was told about FAD multiple times. One of them suggest Best Buy. I told him to bite his tongue and that we were no longer friends. Friends don’t let friends go to Best Buy.
Future Automation & Design came to his home, did a free consultation and put together a detailed quote so my friend would know exactly what he was getting in to. My buddy is a little high strung but he said when the consultation was over he was feeling good about things.
Install day came, the crew was on time and they were efficient in their work. I saw my friends house before the install and I saw his house after. The work was clean and coming from someone that used to get paid to do the same work, I was impressed. Audio in every room, even the bathroom. Apparently my buddy likes to sing in the shower, I could have gone without thinking about him in the shower, but what ever floats his boat. The Tv’s looked great, they were well placed and there wasn’t a single hanging wire.
You gotta love a company that knows what they were talking about and knows what they were doing.

Entertainment Room… Where does one start? Construction is quite an undertaking especially when contractor after contractor fails. THANKFULLY, Future Automation & Design is lead by the knowledgeable, courteous and professional, Patrick Coleman. I was so very fortunate to be lead through the audio world of technology with THE expert. My home is controlled by the Control 4 system including much more than beautiful surround sound. I had no idea the tap of a switch would make life easier with this sensible automation, much more than lights & audio.
Patrick is able to guide you through virtual modifications which make sense!
