The staff here is generally unfriendly or has no personality, and we try to avoid it, but sometimes you just have to have a blizzard. I really enjoyed the cotton candy blizzard I had a few weeks ago. Made a special trip all the way to the mall to have this again with my family in the few minutes before my husband had to leave only to find out they were out of the sprinkles. Such a disappointment, and of course the employee didn’t look at all upset that he was able to keep sitting and doing nothing. Waste of time.

Love the younger girl and older dude that work there! Every time i go, I’m always entertained, great team. They’re both super fast when they’re busy, almost like they’re dancing, great service.

I will admit that despite the low star review, I’ll continue to go here as Ice cream is Ice cream, and I get an insane amount of coupons/discounts for this place. NEVERTHELESS, I am disappointed with this location 85% of the time. If you get the redheaded bro(it’s cool, I’m a redhead too) OR the girl who is a manager — you’ll be fine as they actually care about their jobs, but the rest can be total tool bags. The one time our order sucked simply because the guy making them was obviously new, and even though he kept asking the guy who was supposed to be training him what to do, that bro was only concerned about flirting with some random girl over the counter. However, you can bet just about anything that(THOUGHYOURBLIZZARDTREATWILLNOTFALLOUTOFTHECUP), it will not be mixed thoroughly if at all, and whatever is supposed to be inside it(cookie pieces, cheesecake bites, etc), will be skimped out on. Seriously, one time we had to look at our receipt to remember what we got because we couldn’t find the bits of chocolatey brownie or cookies in our blizzard. But hey, we keep giving the benefit of the doubt hoping maybe they’ll get better. Fool’s optimism, right? Can’t wait to get some DQ back on the East Coast where they do it right.

The sullen young punk working here shorted us with a «large» ice cream cone that didn’t measure up to the usual size. But he clearly didn’t give a shit when we brought it to his attention. The cashier was interested in making a new one, but only as long as she could eat the substandard product. But it’s all good — we expect to be underserved and overcharged whenever we’re at the South Bay Galleria. Our ice cream may have been unfulfilling but knowing that we were right yet again gives us a warm feeling of satisfaction.

I love Dairy Queen!!! I truly wished we had the full fast food kitchen so they could serve onion rings and their Brazier hamburgers! The one near us only serves hot dogs and chips along with all the ice cream desserts. I usually get a Blizzard.

This is one of the only DQ locations near me and its on the third floor of the South Bay Galleria mall. I usually make a special trip out here just for the Blizzards! I have been here numerous times before and haven’t had any issues, however last night, I was unhappy. The guy who made my two Blizzards(yay for the limited time bogo for 99 cent Blizzard deal) put way too much in my container and it flowed over the rim, making a complete mess. I needed to take it to go, so I requested a lid. I was expecting to get a rounded lid with a hole at the top equivalent to that of a slurpee lid at 7 – 11 or a frappuccino lid at Starbucks, but instead I get a soft drink lid, which only smashed more ice cream out and added to the mess — and more importantly, wasted more of my precious Blizzard! It was such a hassle to get my Blizzard in a container that didn’t make a mess that my «quick trip» to DQ ended up taking 15 minutes instead of 5 minutes. I don’t know if I’ll be returning here unless I’m already at the mall.

This Dairy Queen is near the food court in the South Bay Galleria. It is a combination store with Orange Julius and there are two small tables nearby, so you can sit and not make an ice cream mess. You can’t go wrong with a chocolate dipped cone here!!! I noticed new drinks– three kinds of frozen hot chocolate and a new blizzard– triple berry brownie blizzard. Reese’s blizzards are my current fav. I got their Peanut Butter Bash which was basically a vanilla soft serve sundae with peanut butter and choc sauce. =) It was as good as I thought it would be! Oh yeah they have calorie count on their items as well which I found interesting. DQ reminds me of school days with Banana Split blizzards and chicken strips with country gravy sauce. SOGOOD. I don’t think DQs in the area have food other than hot dogs. =(
