Great coffee and food. RUDERUDERUDE older employee. The coffee shop only 1⁄3 full it was suggested we go to Starbucks if we wanted to continue our business because we had been there more than an hour. Used to bring clients, new residents to the area, here all the time. I will not be back.

I ordered a cup of coffee to finish some of my work there, but they asked me to put my laptop back into my bag somewhat impolitely. They told me it’s not allowed to have a laptop on Saturday and Sunday. Does it make sense they say this even though they do not have wifi in store?

They have a nice menu of flavored drinks, I think it is fun to order from this menu instead of the constant make your own«but say it right» of the other places. I think that the owners should just bear down and rework the entire theme. They have many rules and signs all over about various things you cannot do. Instead a total makeover so that when you walk through the door you know what you are in for. The«Victors» coffee«Celtic» coffee worked for a while but the place has changed so much that it might as well get a total makeover. It is unusual for a coffee shop to not take cards, it is also unusual for a coffee shop to not have wifi, it is also unusual for the coffee buzz to not encourage productivity. I think a rename and re-theme and re-model would probably get people in the know before walking in. Actually I find the ordering process to be actually rude to the customer. I mean there is no sign or information back at the beginning of the line. «Hey we do not accept cards» so a person could wait ten minutes during peak times only to find out after they place their order that NO we are not interested in this form of payment. I think this is actually rude.

As much as I like this place it seems that its mission is to make it difficult for you to enjoy yourself. I wait 20 minutes in line, made sure to bring cash(they don’t accept cc) and after getting my coffee and sitting down I’m told«no laptops Saturday and Sunday». When I asked why I was show a little white paper taped to the wall with little type that said the same thing. No reason — just no. Well… You’ve lost my business forever.

Bring cash, since it’s cash only. Other than that I really love this place. A locals hang out for sure. Want the scoop on what’s going on in Redmond, come here and enjoy it! This place has been here a while, so regulars will likely have lived here a while they were very generous with my whip cream foam too for the black forest flavored drink, which is like a mocha but with cherry or raspberry flavor.

Meeting my daughter for a cup a coffee on a Satuday, we decided to stop by Victor’s coffee. I had driven by this place for years and never stopped as it was always the wrong time of day. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the coffee was great. Not sure why it took me so long to go there but really enjoyed my time. They only accept cash and no charge cards… don’t let this be a negative, it is worth stopping by and enjoying yourself.

Best coffee around! and the vibe is great– chill and eclectic. I have spent many a cozy hour in there chatting with friend over delicious coffees. The only problem is that there is no wireless. so you can’t work from there.

Excellent coffee. I enjoyed a standard cup of drip coffee, black. It was well balanced, but slightly citrusy and acidic, without strong bitter flavors like you’d find in a cup of Charbucks. Even though they were busy, the owner re-toasted my bagel because it evidently didn’t satisfy his standards. That they care about so simple a thing was a nice touch. Ignore the haters castigating this place for its want of wifi and«no laptop» policy. They need to stay in business, and the fact that they don’t cater to leeches is a testament to their focus on the drinks. If you want free wifi or a place to chill for hours, go to Starbucks or just stay in your parents’ basement. If you want good coffee and old-school café ambience, Victor’s is a great choice. PS: I am pretty sure they will let you stay longer than an hour if you keep buying drinks.

One star for the space — lovely wood, nice deck, you’d think it would be a good place for working or reading. You would be wrong. The staff is so-so but the signs all over: don’t do this, don’t talk loudly, don’t meet people. Don’t stay for over an hour. No meetings. Incredibly rude and off-putting. I don’t mind cash-only; everyone has their thing. But being told what I can and can’t do is unique in my experience and not somewhere I will return under current policies.

This is the perfect coffee spot for a cash carrying, java aficionado seeking a quiet place to enjoy a conversation, read or purely relax with a delicious Americano! This is NOT the place for credit card toting, tech geeks seeking a place to purchase a drip coffee and camp out all day with free wifi and power. ps. The warm panini sandwiches and fresh pastries are worth every calorie… :)

Decent drinks, owner ruins experience every time. He is kind of rude. There are signs everywhere reminding you not to have laptops, telling you to not hang around too long, and discouraging large groups. I have been here many times. It’s decent whenever the owner isn’t there but when he is it is not worth it. Best just to avoid.

A long time staple of downtown Redmond, unique in both its interior ambiance and selection of coffee drinks. The inside is decorated with ‘coffee memorabilia’ and very spacious and leaves you feeling like you’ve stepped back in time to the Wild West. Biggest downside is they don’t take debit/credit, and no Wi-Fi.

This place is a nice little gem in a world of Sbux and Dullys. The roast that this coffeehouse serves is 7.5 out of 10… pretty darn delicious. The ambiance is laid back and since the windows face east it’s a nice warm light if the sun is shining in the morning. Good spot for sunny Sunday morning chats. Cash only, which I admire since I understand how Visa/MC monopolize. Still, one star off since it is a small inconvenience not offering an ATM. Rules are a bit strict but understandable, nice little place and still friendly service if you have no problem with following them. I’ll be back with friends again.

Great coffee, nerds stay away… Mocha Rocha, Irish nudge and almond joy are excellent! Coffee cake is hella tasty too! No Wifi, no power outlets, credit cards not accepted and the owner actively asks laptop users to close them. Really off putting considering the techies in Seattle area. When busy your table is automatically bused while your still enjoying conversation. Nice, but leaves the impression your being politely encouraged to make room for new customers and free up parking.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, I was operating on a single hour of sleep and was in desperate need of quality coffee. Parking is a little confusing since there are technically two different lots that you can access each from a different street since they do not connect. The environment is very welcoming! The menu looked amazing and the whole shop has a rustic feel to it! It looks like they closed off half of the café. Not sure if they only open that for lunch or remodeling or maybe because it was about 45 minutes before close. Despite that I found seating quickly and got my coffee just as quickly. I ordered the zebra mocha and thoroughly enjoyed it. On all the specials they have chocolate whip on them. It’s heavenly to say the least! From what I understand all their beans are done in house so I’ll probably be coming here more often.

The owner is a curmudgeon. Thankfully everyone else is very nice. They skipped our drinks and then the owner tried to blame us despite us standing right there waiting. The espresso drinks are very good, but it’ll take more than that to keep our business.

Really unique and nice place. I had the Almond Roca Mocha and it was a bit sweet for my preferences but the coffee itself(while hidden behind lots of sweet flavor) was quite good. I would like to go back and try a simpler coffee for comparison.

What’s good: The coffee, the actual roasted beans, is very good. There’s a reasonable selection of bagels, pastries, sandwiches(hot and cold). The interior atmosphere is great. What isn’t good: Cash only. No Wi-Fi. Some fairly customer-unfriendly policies regarding meetings, studying, and the like. Coffee drinks can be spotty based on your barista. And then there’s Walter. If you’re looking for a «quick coffee before an interview/meeting», go to Starbucks at Bear Creek or the Peets by Whole Foods. The namesake Victor actually sold the place well over a decade ago(he’s in Cannon Beach, OR now, and runs Sleepy Monk). The proprietor is Walter, a fellow who is abrupt on good days and rude on bad ones. While Walter’s managed to keep the place operating(and has even expanded it), he’s the one behind the cash-only, no Wi-Fi, don’t stay long policies. And there’s a pretty high barista turnover — the good ones usually find someplace with a less grating boss. I’d wager that if Victor’s(«Walter’s») opened as a «new» place today, it wouldn’t make it. But it has a huge amount of inertia as an old Redmond landmark, and it’s one of the few non-Starbucks alternatives in old Redmond that has character(Soul Food is the other). If you get one of the baristas that has been around and can put up with Walter’s attitude, you’ll get a good drink. Food is good. The atmosphere is very non-Starbucks. Just avoid Walter. ;)

CASHONLY. Came in here 30 minutes before an interview. Just wanted a quick tea so I could gather my thoughts. Took 30 minutes to get my tea. Spent 15 minutes in line. In between each customer(there was a long line) the person at the register would disappear into the back kitchen for a few minutes. Drinks seemed a little spendier — it was almost $ 4 for a medium tea. Spent another 15 minutes waiting for my tea b/c finally another person comes out to make coffee. After waiting 30 minutes, I got my tea but by then it was too late to enjoy it. Also, the people in front of me ordered macchiatos. This place makes them traditionally so the people keep sending them back. The staff said it happens all the time(b/c people want the Starbucks version). If it happens all the time, why doesn’t your staff tell customers that they make a traditional macchiato and explain what that is?

Been here a few times when meeting friends for coffee and wanting to sit around and catch up. Not 100% sure what the fuss is all about. Nice place, decent coffee, but comes with a few drawbacks. Pros: Coffee is good, but wouldn’t call it show stopping. Bakery treats look yummy. Haven’t tried any myself, but friends all rave about them. Tables outside are nice on a sunny day. Cons: The staff is just not warm and fuzzy. Heck I would settle for mildly pleasant, but you get gruff and abrupt. Expect a death stare if you ask a question, such as «is that my drink». Crowds can make for a long wait. Don’t ask for sugar free options as this elicits above mentioned death stare as well. Friends have been asked to get up and let someone else have their table when taking too long. Hasn’t happened to me so could be an urban myth, but know so folks who will avoid this place at all costs. Not a coffee snob as I usually get something diluted with milk or flavor, so maybe I am missing the point here. Nice place but just an okay place to hang.
