Lane Bryant

I normally have a pleasant positive experience here but one sales gal in particular (Jordan) needs some honesty training. My daughter who is size ¹⁸⁄₂₀ struggles with her body image and constantly picks out clothing that is too small because she focuses on the number. When my daughter tried on yoga pants that were clearly too small (her skin and underwear were showing through the pants), Jordan told her those looked perfect. When I refused to buy the size 14 pants because they didn’t look good and would wear out within a week, I became the bad guy in my daughters eyes and she had a complete melt down in the store. Thanks Jordan… if I ever come in that store again and see your face, I will turn around and leave. You get zero stars.
I am giving the store a rating of 3 stars because the managers and other staff are usually pretty good overall. Management — If you are listening, please point Jordan in the right direction and train her to be honest with customers. If she really did think those pants were acceptable than maybe she should use her vision insurance to get her eyes checked or pick a different profession where blowing smoke at people is acceptable.
One more thing I’d like to mention. There was supposed to be LIVI event with drawings for free items and the staff was completely unprepared. They did not have entry forms out and when I asked, they seemed very confused. Even the manager with the long grey hair was caught off guard. I much prefer the manager with the long brown hair (sorry, I don’t recall your name). She knows how to run that store right and the other managers could really benefit from her skills.

Torn between 3 – 4 stars. Staff is great (10x better than northgate), but the prices for basics (tees, tanks) is too high. I love the yoga pants, but they get holes so easily (my finger went right through the fabric once). Sometimes the clothes are geared more toward older women. Oh well, slowly, but surely working my way out of their sizing.

Great selection, but over-​priced. Corporate could lower their prices by 20%, sell more & gain a higher profit, imho.

I came in looking for a dress. Sales gal was helpful in showing me everything they had in the style I wanted. She even looked in the back for a size in something new.
It fit perfectly. Sales gal also helped show me some stockings and undergarments.
Very pleased with my shopping experience.
Dressing room had way too many clothes back there to put out. Only complaint.

I love love love this Lane Bryant location! I’ve been shopping at Lane Bryant for many years and found this shop shortly after moving to Washington. If I hadn’t already been a loyal Lane Bryant customer, this store would have converted me. I am always greeted warmly, usually by name now that I stop by about once a month. The associates say hello, ask if I am looking for anything special and then let me shop. They are always super helpful if I need anything but they don’t hover. I like that! Carla and Wendy are especially great!
Lane Bryant IS expensive, but I rarely pay full price for anything (only if I’m head over heels). I also have to disagree with a previous review. The clothes are good quality. I have clothes from Lane Bryant that I have been wearing for years. Their business/​dressy clothes are classic and well made. They have great sales, amazing clearance deals and frequent coupons. For example, today I shopped the clearance rack and came home with 2 pajama shorts sets, casual black capris, yoga Capri pants, dressy palazzo pants, denim shorts and a pair of earrings. After my coupon and a rewards check from earning points on my credit card, I spent $ 60. THAT IS AWESOME!
I also have to mention Cacique. Lane Bryant’s bras, panties & pajamas are wonderful. It’s hard to find pretty bras & panties that are comfortable enough for everyday wear when you’re plus sized. Lane Bryant has them.

I love to shop here especially the sales racks. I also love the LB bucks! The staff is always so helpful and always ask if they can order the tight size or color if they don’t have it available in the store.
They don’t carry a lot of size 14 and is the only reason it’s a four star.
I highly recommend this location!

I cannot stress enough how great my last two experiences have been here. The employees have gone out of their way on both occasions to make me feel comfortable. They have been extremely helpful and found me the exact items I was looking for.
I am very happy with my service and I will definitely be back!

I would say that I dislike about 90% of the stuff in this store, but the things I do like, I really, really like.
First off, I don’t shop here. I’ll try things on sometimes, and almost never like it. Instead, I use this location to ship stuff that I buy online. You get free shipping that way, and you can try on anything, and if it doesn’t work, just return it right there.
I am mostly a fan of their Cacique brand of bras and underwear. Totally a life-​saver. For many of us, we grow out of Victoria Secret, both in size, and style. I can’t afford Nordstrom, so I turned to Lane Bryant. They almost always have sales on bras and panties, and me (and my boyfriend), love them. I’ve also picked up some lingerie.
I also buy sweaters from Lane Bryant. You know, the kind that every «plus size» woman owns 20 of, yeah, I usually get them here, on clearance for like $ 20 instead of the regular $ 60 price tag. I’ve also gotten some boots that are cute, but of poor quality.
This place is expensive, and the quality of the clothes really isn’t worth it, but they are constantly having sales, and I always stock up at that time.
This store itself, it’s hard to get help, for a dressing room or to check out. I did have a wonderfully sweet girl give me a bra-​fitting here awhile back, and was very happy with the fitting and the bras she suggested for me.

The bras. Oh my god the bras.
I went in looking for a chance to be fitted for a good bra that will give me great support. The second I walked one of the ladies working there greeted me with a smile and asked what I needed.
I was fitted and was given some bras that fitted fantastically and gave amazing support. Super comfortable, cute styles, and many to chose from in different styles.
Both staff members were patient and very nice to me and my mom and grandma. They helped with everything I needed, and when I couldn’t find a bra I wanted in the right size, one of them ordered one for me right at the register right then! Super amazing bras, the clothes look nice, and the staff is amazing. I will be coming more often for bra shopping.

I go here for bras.
Bras that support while also looking good.
Bras that understand that Victoria Secret is 90% «push up» and no substance.
And a girl with substance, needs substance.
My most favorite bra recently went to the lingerie department in the sky, so I popped in here today to restock up. I happened upon a great sale.
I wish, however, that for ladies who require the sizes they carry in regular clothes, that they did better in their fashion choices.
Sure, there are some «hip» styles going on, but I’d hazard a guess that a good ²⁄₃ of the store was basically tank tops and ¾ length pants, with a couple sundresses shown in. And way, way too many rhinestones and appliques.
But, I still love the bra. God, I love these bras.
