We love this place. We go in there at least 1st a month. The pizza is awesome. And, even their Gluten free crust is good, which is hard to do! The vibe is seriously like family. I love that they recognize us, and the wait staff will let me know right away when one of my favorite seasonal pizzas is back! :) just an all around great neighborhood restaurant.

Food here overall is pretty good. The service inside is better than for take out in my experience. Pizzas overall are good value for the money and the breadsticks here are ginormous.

Enjoyed a nice meal here. Friendly staff. Breadsticks were good. Pizzas were tasty. Booths sit low though. Seems like staff spend more time with patrons they know. We enjoyed our meal. Might come again if in the area.

Could have been better, but could have been worse. Pros– It definitely feels like a family restaurant. Frankie, the owner, was out talking with customers and busing tables. The staff seems to know the regulars. Cons– I was so disappointed in the food. The ceasar salad dressing tasted like it was store bought. Although the cheese pizza portion was huge, there was too much cheese. The crust was crunchy, but unremarkable beyond that. The place could use a serious décor update. The fake leaves and grapes or have been there since I came in with my dad 10 years ago. A bit on new paint would really help open it up. I love supporting local businesses, but probably won’t be back.

Good honest pizza at a fair price. I always order the Frankie’s special here. It is a good combo, has a good crust, sauce is good, topping and cheese is of good high quality ingredients. I think the large was like $ 27 bucks. It’s a huge Pizza and we always bring home good leftovers. The crew here is always really nice. A lot of them have been working here for years. I actually recognize a lot of them now, and they always try hard and are always very friendly. I have not tried any of their other dishes, but they look good. My wife normally gets a salad and it seems fine. They will have a few good rotating tap beers. A reasonably priced wine list, that is not super fancy. These are very good people who do a lot to support the community. It’s a good meal at a fair price. It does get crowded and can be loud. But that goes with the territory of a family pizza and Italian food place.

We are new to the area and have been trying out a few pizza places. This is by far our favorite. We ordered a pizza for carry-out and we will definitely be going back to dine-in. The staff was extremely friendly, it was a nice family atmosphere and the food was DELICIOUS! I loved the pizza crust but my husband was sold on the sauce. We had a large meat lover type pizza and it was reasonably priced, especially since it was huge. I totally recommend this place!

We eat a lot of pizza and have been to many pizza restaurants but I have to say this was the best pizza I have ever had! We ordered the classic combo minus bell peppers and then added resh tomatoes on top and it was superb. We will be back! Thank you Frankie and staff.

Go to Romio’s Pizza and Pasta instead! It’s right around the corner at the Value Village plaza! Its everything I want my local Italian place to be and what I was looking for at Frankie’s! Fast, friendly, inexpensive, large quantities and they even have a full gluten free menu! And the food tastes great! Come on over, I’ll be there!

I received an e-mail from Frankie asking me to come back and try his place again, and to reconsider my first 2-star rating. It’s been almost a year, but I finally made it back to try them again. The food was good, traditional Americana Italian food and what you would expect to find in any family Italian food place anywhere in the US. It’s not bad, it’s just not unique. Frankie doesn’t need me to tell him how to run his business, as both times I have gone they were full, and full of families. They are definitely popular with the locals, and you can tell these people have been coming here for a long time. Kids dressed in local sports jerseys just coming from Marymoore or other local sports areas no doubt frequent the place after practice. Frankie was been at the front of the place both times I was there, and walks around talking to his guests making sure everyone is enjoying the food. It’s nice to see the owner take such an active role making sure people are enjoying themselves. Behind the counters I saw a lot of teens, local kids, working hard and being treated really well by Frankie. You can tell he cares about his employees and his community, and creates a great family feel in his business. Frankie sells his cook books in the waiting area. I didn’t bother to flip through it, but I found that interesting as well. He’s definitely selling a very traditional experience in a very progressive community, but he sells it well, and the place is busy. If Frankie were interested in bringing in a younger professional demographic, then there are a few things I would change. The décor of the place feels like it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. There are walls in the dining room areas and tables stuck in every little spot you can imagine, probably because there’s usually a wait. It feels cramped. I would get rid of the fake vines, replace the tables and chairs, and possibly open up the dining room a little, to make a more open floor plan area, just to modernize the experience. The kitchen is open to the dining room, and that’s nice to see the folks working in there, but it’s a bit crowded, and things just look old, and like they could use a polish. It looked as though it needed a bit of an update for the processes, or if the idea is so that the diners can see their dinner being made, that it be reorganized to make the prep and construction of the dishes more visible. Also, the menu is quite large, and that’s nice for lots of options, but it feels like it hasn’t changed for decades The items are extremely traditional, and could use an update. Something more original, or different than what you can find elsewhere. The food was fine, but I couldn’t finish my bread sticks because there was a ton of dried seasoning on them and they had a funny taste. I had some lasagna and it was perfectly average. It was good, but not great. Exactly what you would expect from a family Italian joint. I also found their prices to be slightly high on their individual dishes, but if I had ordered a pizza to split with a group, the prices probably would have seemed much more reasonable. All and all, I will say the food is average and the menu and restaurant needs an update. I will up my review to 3 stars, because it’s not bad, it’s just not great. It seems like a lot of people really do enjoy it, just not the ones that are likely to Unilocal about the place. I still believe that there is a lot of better places in Redmond, and with so many choices I don’t expect that I will make it back to Frankies for another year.

Delicious gluten free pizza crust. I got the Italian Stallion and added Gorgonzola Cheese, it was meaty cheesey amazingness. I really appreciated the amount of gluten free options for pizza and pasta they had on their menu. The service was nice and quick. Also we had no problem getting a table at 6:30pm on Friday night, but did notice a line starting as we were leaving.

Frankie’s has added gluten free pasta and pizza crust! So glad they worked out a way to make it work in their kitchen process.

Absolutely love this place. My favorite pizza, they are large and have tremendous flavor. The staff is always friendly. The biggest«issue» is that it’s incredibly popular, so your wait during the dinner rush can be a bit. Excellent family owned restaurant.

I did not like the food… I had the minestrone soup which tasted like warmed up canned tomatoes with undercooked vegetables. The Caesar salad was wilted and the dressing was oddly sweet and definitely disgusting. My husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was bland at best. The kids pizza was ok but not worth enduring the other dishes. Maybe we went on a bad night?

Went here yesterday for an early birthday dinner with my bestie and had a great time. Fresh and delicious as always. We got the caramel used Rosemary onion and fontina with prosciutto pizza that could literally solve world peace. I wish they did the pizza year round but maybe it’s a good thing they don’t or I would go broke! Thanks Frankie!

Let me take you back in time to September 2013. Times were different then, children respected their elders and beast mode was given the opportunity to be beast mode and RUNTHEDAMNBALL! WHYWOULDYOUTHROWIT? GIVEITTOBEASTMODE!!! I Digress… We had just relocated to the area from a southern town called Pew Allup. We decided to try a local pizza place. We ordered a supreme pizza of sorts, it had all kinds of toppings including veggies which tasted extremely fresh. I have never carried a pizza box so large before, i was surprised it fit into my car. Man… it smelled amazing. We got home and opened the box and dug it. The dough had me. The dough had a very unique taste, it was so damn delicious!!! The veggies and meat tasted fresh, there was no grease(not that i dont mind geease). Hands down my favourite pizza ever(sorry dominos, we love you and have always ordered from you) Amazing… just… mouth watering deliciousness.

3.5 stars without the passport card discount. The service on a Friday night was great, even though the restaurant was packed with a twenty minute wait for a table. The food is solid. The rigatoni with shrimp and prosciutto was good — not too creamy and everything came together well. The pizza was also really good. We tried a pesto based pizza, and it was good, but the marinara ones looked better. The highlight for me was the Italian wedding soup, which is definitely worth the adder on an entrée. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are looking for a casual environment in the area and craving simple Italian food!

The food was authentic Italian American, the atmosphere was small town family oriented, and the staff were congenial and professional. I enjoyed a House Special Calzone which was baked excellently, not greasy at all, and oozed with cheese. My spouse had the Chicken Parmesan and raved about how juicy it was, and she commented that it was hot throughout the meal. Two meals and a bottle of wine for less than 80 bucks sounds too good to be true, but it is nonetheless. Highly recommend this place if you are in Redmond. Going to try a pie next visit.

We tried a pasta dish and Calzone, quite expensive for what you get. Not a ton of flavor. Décor is a bit dated, and service was suspect. We actually over heard our server say, «I cannot believe they ordered more of wine, i wanted to leave. How annoying.» This was at 8pm on a Saturday. Tropea in Redmond is by far a better option, no comparison; better food, better atmosphere, better service, and better price for great quality.
