Lots of options (three different level beds, red light, two different spray tans…) and very reasonable prices. Monthly is best deal. Silver beds have the best base tan longevity and help with acne, icthiosis, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis.

I have been going to desert sun for about two years now and I love it I thought there was really no hope for the people in WA but the girls here have proved me wrong on the «Seattle freeze» saying — Katrina and Aubrey and the owner I THINK her name is Carrie? She was off for about a year but back now I heard anyway im very pleased I actually am exited to go in an tan now — Thank you girls for being so sweet and eager to help it really does make a difference at the end of the day as for the Bellevue location NOT a fan! manors and being sweet really are everything! Buying an expensive lotion is that much better when the person selling is honest and gives you advice and don’t look at you like your broke! Sooo … this was my 2^nd time tanning, EVER. The last time I was in a tanning bed was back in 2011 at a tanning salon in Issaquah, and I really only went this time around again just so I could get a tiny, tiny bit of color before I jet off to Hawai’i tomorrow. I didn’t really know what I was doing, what to expect, but Christina (Kristina?) was incredibly helpful. She introduced herself, the other lady working at the time (totally forgot her name), gave me a tour of the salon, and explained how everything worked and what services Desert Sun offered.
She helped me select the lotion that best fit my needs, and I was off into the room. Overall a great experience, especially for a pretty much first-​timer!

This is my favorite Desert Sun location in the Greater Seattle/​Eastside area. The ladies are incredibly sweet and extremely knowledgable on their products and the tanning process. They have amazing products, good beds and great prices for every level of tanning.
I am currently using a Groupon ($ 11 for a month of unlimited tanning) and fully intend on extending my membership once the promotion is up.
They also participate in the Muscular Dystrophy Association Shamrock program, which I think is truly fantastic. I donated $ 10 to the MDA and received a $ 25 gift card to use on a future visit — amazing!

The manager there, Kirstina is so sweet & so is the rest of their staff. I’ve been a long term patron of Desert Sun, and have gone to different locations throughout Western WA, and some are definitely better than others when it comes to customer service; and this location has it down! I felt immediately welcomed, even though it was my first time at this location, they were chatting with me like I’m a long time regular. The location is clean, uncluttered, and as usual they have the BEST quality products too.

It’s been a little while since I was tanning here. And was my first salon that I went daily to.
I loved it! Great pricing friendly people!
I enjoyed that the people working actually made you feel like a human being vs other salons that have vapid sorority girls manning the desk.

Worst tanning experience I ever had. It was my first time there and I asked for the best high pressure bed, to later find out she put me in a medium pressure bed TWICE which was a waste of my money because I didn’t get any color out of it. Plus I don’t think the bed was very clean because my whole body was itching after using it. And that has never happened to me at other tanning places! the girl that was helping me seemed like she hated her job and wasn’t friendly at all. I will continue to tan at seattle sun tan. They are a little pricey but worth every penny.

This is the best tanning place I have been to. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is clean and the beds are the best. It is the fastest tan I have gotten with no burn.

I love tanning esp living in this state with SO much rain and cloud for so many days during the year.
I love this place, its right next to Sears and its my favorite tanning joint of all time.
The people there are SUPER friendly and knowledgable. They are funny and fun and they seem to really like their jobs.
The place is SPOTLESS clean
The beds are fantastic always in working order, always clean.
The staff knows what kinds of bed you need, they can recommend the best lotions for your tan, your skin, etc. I have never had an issue with a bed there.
I have been going here for years and I recommend it to anyone thinking about tanning for a trip, for your wedding, etc.
They even do spray tans if you prefer that.

I didn’t used to like to go to this location, I used to go to the one in downtown Bellevue, but since I can walk here from work it’s super convenient. The staff here is super helpful and don’t try and upsell very much. They ask you what you’re looking for and try and sell you the products that you actually want. There is a guy that works there in the morning/​afternoon that is super nice. I never have to wait very long no matter what time I go in there and everything is really clean. I would continue to go to this salon even if I were to get another job or move farther away.

I go to this location just for the employees.
I live in Sammamish and there is a salon about 5 minutes from me but I don’t like that one cause they have some obnoxious teenage girls in there that are glued to their phones texting and talking.
I prefer to come to the Overlake location in the morning. The employees that they have in the morning are super fantastic. Michelle… LOVE HER! They have a guy in there too in the morning… can’t remember his name but he is a peach too. They are very nice and not pushy at all. They will tell you about any promos but they don’t push you or make you feel bad for not buying.
What most people don’t understand is that they are all paid on commission and minimum wage. They have a daily sales goal… yes daily… not weekly or monthly. The salons are owned seperately which is they don’t really transfer purchases from salon to salon unless the owner owns that salon as well.
I’ve had zero problems with the employees that are there in the mornings and afternoons. I’ve heard the owner though call on the phone and start yelling at who ever picks up the phone… uncool move to do dude especially when it’s during business hours.
I’ve gone in after work and I don’t like to do that. It gets super crowded after 4:30 but that’s not their fault. The people in the evening are mostly younger… like teenagers. Some are good and some are bad. They can get pushy and rude when you don’t buy from them. Some have their phones attached to their hands. I also find that some of the girls in the evening dress really really skanky. Do not wear short shorts and tall boots in January with a low back tank top… you look like a skank and dumb cause it’s cold out.
I think there is actually a note on my account about not pushing me cause I will tell you to back off.
Every transaction that is done on your account can be looked at by corporate. They can’t just give you whatever you want. Anything that has ever gone wrong with my account was quickly fixed and without argument.

I also had a similar experience to the other review. My husband signed up for a month month membership simply for our wedding. He normally does not tan but wanted to for the month leading up to our wedding. About two months later we get a bill saying he owes over $ 100. The card he had used to sign up for the plan was closed since we merged accounts and now they wanted payment. He called and spoke to a sympathetic girl who said this was happening a lot but that she was not able to do anything. She said she would have her manager call — who never did. He called again and spoke to someone else and we are still waiting for a manager to call. I guess we will need to call corporate next. Stay clear of this place. They will wheel and deal you and do anything to make a few extra bucks. Plus, it is dirty and their beds aren’t even that great! Try Seattle Sun Tan — professional, clean, great beds and helpful associates!

Terrible service. Many appointments were screwed up and the girls that work there are very rude and pushy about buying new packages and lotions. They make me feel like I am at a car dealership and one time even promised me a certain package, took my money and then didn’t give me the package they said.
