Brackenhollow’s magic comes directly from it’s owner and instructor Joanna. My daughter has been riding for about one year under her instruction and during this time period she has learned to not only ride horses, but care for them as well. My daughter has passed two ratings in her pony club in less than a year and learned another level of responsibility that could not be taught in our home from working every Saturday from 9 to 4.
The stables are safe, the animals are treated well and the training is excellent. As a Bellevue resident, I could not ask for a better location.

Brackenhollow Stables is a wonderful place to learn to ride and to grow up at. I spent most of my time here from ages 9 through 18 and learned to ride and grew lifelong friendships with the instructors and other students. Their wonderful teaching style and the family atmosphere at the barn makes this stable the best choice for you or your kids to learn to ride or just spend a Saturday being around horses and friends. Joanna and Duschka were critical factors in my career from the beginner amateur levels through the advanced level in eventing. I highly recommend their program for any level rider.

This is a wonderful place for kids (and adults!) to learn to ride and to learn all sorts of other life lessons. Two of my children kept our car on auto pilot back and forth to Joanna’s for over 12 years. They both became competent, confident riders. They learned much more than how to ride at Brackenhollow — they made great friends, experienced victory, failure, love and frustration, and the power of setting goals and achieving them. It’s a great place with wonderful instructors — go ride with them!
