Been to this place many times with the family. We have a two year old that tends to drop food on the floor. One time the lady working the register handed my wife a broom and dust pan. We reluctantly went back, today she refused to provide services because of our two year old. AREYOUKIDDINGME! Spread the word, avoid this restaurant.

I ordered a teriyaki rice bowl and it was a disappointment. $ 7.99 for a little rice, breaded deep-fried oily tofu. Zero vegetables. This was the first time in my life that I just got up and walked out. This food is not worth eating to me. This bowl just looked sad. Nothing that would make me proud to serve this to my guests if I had a restaurant.

This place is fantastic! The lady who owns it is so nice! The food is fantastic. I have not had chinese food in about 8 years due to the wheat allergy so this is amazing for me to be able to eat this food again!

It’s so nice to be able to get gluten free teriyaki! Just tried this the other day and no glutening, so I’d tentatively say it’s celiac safe. Not the best Asian food I’ve ever had, but good prices, good sized portions, and you can get delivery through Door Dash, so it’s a great option for lazy take out nights.

I love this place! It’s really hard to find gluten free Asian food and I am particularly sensitive. But I can eat here, no problem. It’s very good and the woman who works there is always very Friendly.

Family run business. Service was quick and friendly. There was no one ahead of us. Broccoli beef: served with steamed white rice. Large portion for 10 bucks. It should have been named garlic beef. They must have dumped a few tablespoons of dried garlic. There’s no MSG but not much flavor. Mainly diluted soy. Help yourself to water in a pitcher and hot sauce at the counter, a fork rolled up in a paper napkin. Soda fountain is self service too. Tip jar at the counter. Their ice maker/soda machine has got to be the noisiest I’ve ever encountered. You can hear them preparing your food in the kitchen: Chopping noises, scraping etc. Ambiance: no music, just soda/ice maker noises. Definitely a fast food/food court quality establishment undeserving of the bistro title. However great value.

I haven’t had teriyaki in 4 ½ years due to a nasty gluten intolerance. I make my own sometimes, but there’s nothing like a teriyaki joint’s sticky sweet sauce, mound of rice, and house salad. I ordered a standard chicken teriyaki plate and was in heaven. This might be standard teriyaki to all of you who have your pick of takeout joints, but for me this was a life-enriching experience. I ate everything on my plate and can’t wait to go back again for more gluten free goodness. The menu was easy to read and understand, and the woman who took my order answered questions was gracious and sweet. She ran into entire front house operation by herself during a busy lunch hour, and the food came out a lot quicker than I thought it would have. I’m excited to come back and try a Chinese wok dish… PF Changs aside, when was the last time I had gluten free Chinese? Yup, 4 ½ years ago.

Love that almost the entire menu is gluten free! Saves me from my gluten-intolerance symptoms and I get to enjoy teriyaki again! Now if only I can find gluten free gyoza…

Soo good! Tried General Tao’s twice and and the spicy chicken so far. I am eating gluten free now and these were amazing but would have never know it was GF. Just as good or better than any other I have had.

Every time we go in she remembers us! Love love it! It’s all gluten free and amazing at that. Beats the pricey GF options at PFChangs. We are happy to pay an extra $ 3 a plate to not get sick. We love this place and go as often as we can.

This place is great. I routinely drive from Bellevue just to eat here. No MSG! No gluten! All the dishes are great, but personal favorites are the Mongolian chicken or general Tao’s.

I work within walking distance. I have eaten here only twice in the past few years. Why not more often, you ask? The lady at the counter is kind of a creep. The food is completely mediocre. The prices are a little higher than their competition, and the portions are very standard. So you aren’t getting anything in exchange for the higher prices other than a snarky attitude from the owner/person running the counter. Maybe if she were funny/mean it would be worth a couple bucks. Instead she is just impatient/mean and not sorry about it. I can’t recommend this place.

Chipotle and Jimmy John’s are both nearby and can be quite useful for quick meals. However, nothing beats the feeling of eating at an actual original restaurant. Despite teriyaki restaurants being pretty much a dime a dozen in this area, I find this one to be of a slightly higher quality, although the prices tend to reflect that. The most obvious thing about this place is that the lady behind the counter knew it was my first time here. This suggests that she remembers people’s faces, but also that the restaurant is good enough to have returning customers. I was very impressed with the enthusiasm she puts in her work. A positive attitude from the restaurant staff can make a dining experience much more enjoyable. So I was very hungry and wanted to order a hefty item from the menu. I got the triple combo with chicken, beef, and dumplings. Wow, this was good. Since I ordered it to go, I also received a salad in a separate container. Most surprising was the inclusion of fried rice instead of white rice, which I didn’t ask for but won’t complain about. Definitely a good business practice to give customers things that are better than what they were expecting!

Yes, the food is pricier than your average«McDonalds’ quality teriyaki» found elsewhere around the area. However, the food quality is above average, and most all the menu is gluten-free, and that’s where my appreciation for this place comes in. If you’re more with the Whole Foods crowd, you’ll probably find the prices to be decent… if you’re usually a nearby Chipotle person, you’ll likely enjoy some of the cheaper teriyakis around elsewhere better. Either way, I don’t mind spending an additional $ 2 – 3 per meal when I want something good, and ‘safe’ to eat. It reminds me of something I’d make myself in terms of from-scratch/freshness, but I don’t have to cook it, so win-win for me! Owner is personable and usually friendly/chatty. Almond chicken — pretty tasty. but I was expecting the fried almond chicken/gravy type of dish and this is not that. Still good though.(think veggies, almond slivers, chicken pieces over rice) Egg drop soup — also pretty tasty. Don’t let the price fool you… you get a TON of soup. Easily enough for 4 generous servings. Chicken katsu — superb, and the sauce is great. Chicken teriyaki — grilled tender, juicy, and delicious. I’ve always found the rice to be cooked great. Salads are meh, nothing to write home about, but not bad. My only complaint is I sure wish there was a gluten-free gyoza or eggroll offered!

So hubby, daughter and I went to get food, they went to chipotle but I wanted something different so I headed here. I went in and there was no one else there at all but I guess that’s not unusual for a Wednesday evening(though Chipotle as usual was heaving). I ordered the chicken katsu which to my surprise was $ 9 and some cents which I found to be quite surprising. The food came out, it was ok, the salad was quite unappetizing, the rice kind of sticky and the katsu was a bit dry. The staff were friendly and helpful and they had a large gluten free menu and also catering menus available. There was somewhat of a problem with communication when I was asking about potstickers which were under another name and at $ 9 as a side dish of 8 which I found pretty pricey. I think I can probably get a big bag in Costco for not much more or maybe less so I passed on those. I wanted to love this place as they had teriyaki, sushi, Chinese and fusion foods all in one place but the fact it was so quiet and the pricing was so high put me off. I don’t think unfortunately I will be returning.

So not sure why but chicken and gyoza is like 12 dollars which is like 5 more than everywhere else… Brown rice substitution is 1.50 also a dollar higher than everywhere else. The portion size was standard, just like everywhere else so basically you pay 6 dollars more and don’t get more food. I was dissappointed, they had a special going on where if you get a chicken teriyaki for 8.99 they give you a free soda, did I get a free soda with my 15 dollar chicken and gyoza with brown rice? No, it wasn’t offered to me Miyako is the place to go

I went here just looking at the overall star rating. My fault for not looking at the individual reviews. Place is a complete rip off. Overpriced. Not all menu prices posted. Food quality OK. Portion size below average.
