This is my favorite restaurant. I live in Norcal, so I eat here every time I visit my bro in Redlands. The Beef Shawarma is unbelievably delicious, the hummus is great, I can’t recommend this place strongly enough.

Absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly, my order was taken by matt, and the owner was also very kind. I ordered a half chicken kabob plate for 7.95 $ and a falafle and some extra pita bread, you dont really need extra pita bread since they give you two pieces which id enough. But everything was really great. Total was 12 $ for me alone without a drink. So if i got a drink or was just a bit hungrier and got the full plate(one kabob more for 1095 $) It would’ve probably been close too 20 $ for one. So this place is a little bit on the pricier side but it’s absolutely worth it. The hummus was savory and delicious and garlicy, the chicken was very well marinated and juicy and very grilled with the ends and pieces of onions just a tad bit burnt on the corners just the way I like it. And the rice was perfect and soft and tasty. Really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back. This is a great addition to the community.

I ordered take out from here. It is located in a strip mall and the ambiance is strip mall like. The lamb skewers we had were moist and tasty — not dry like so many reviews here report. Some of the pieces were very chewy(muscly and sinewy and who knows what) and some were just flat out divine. We also ordered the baklava which seemed a bit mass produced – I doubt they made it on site – edible but not memorable.

A staple in our house. The hummus is amazing. And the only place my whole family can share two meals and everyone is happy and satisfied!

Man what a disappointment! I ordered the combo plate for $ 18. With the exception of the kuftka all of my meat was dry and over cooked. Not to mention the portion size was so small that it left me very disappointed! The chicken was so dry I Had a hard time trying to pierce it with a fork and the gyro meat was so over cooked I thought I was eating a dried cracker. Needless to say the meal left a lot to be desired. So I was so disappointed in my dinner that I pointed out the problems that I had to my server. First I explained what was wrong then I called him over to my table and showed him how dried out and hard the chicken swarma was. The response I got was even more disappointing than the food. A mistake in the kitchen is excusable but that followed up by bad customer service and unresponsive management is not. It was like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares waiting to happen.

If you enjoy being treated with indifference by rude people this is the place for you. The food is just okay…

Amazing food. So much flavor and authenticity to the dishes. The price is a little bit more but it’s well worth the quantity of food you get. I really enjoy the chicken kabob plate though as my personal favorite.

I don’t know what’s changed, but this place has taken a serious dive within the past couple of months. I used to love coming here, it was a bit pricey before but worth it — now the prices have gone up, the quality and portion sizes have gone down and that just bums me out. I thought maybe it was a fluke when I came a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn’t — again the flavors were lacking and the portions were just much smaller. I really hope they turn it around, but I’m not sticking around to find out — I’ll be looking for another place.

I loved coming here before. pricey but was worth it… HOWEVER… TODAY. I noticed their prices went way up. and was not worth it … hummus that was tasty before tasted bland, Delicious rice before was dull and dry, The tahini had to have been watered down Even the meat went down in taste and some of the chicken was dry. Very sad experience today since I loved the food here before but with the sky rocket price change and tasteless change in food I need to find a new place to go to from now on.

Fast and attentive service. However, $ 12 for veggie plate was steep for me. Hummus some shriveled eggplant, slices of potato, a sad helping of rice pilaf and overdressed salad and hard pita bread! I won’t be back

I tried this place a few times and I really do have mixed feelings about it. Definitely not your best Mediterranean place but one of the few in the area. I tried their chicken kabob and also their beef kofta plates. They both were over cooked and dried. When it comes to sandwiches, they overload the sandwich with sauce and add little meat. For example, the gyro I had today had 4 ridiculous thin strips of meat and a bunch of sauce to the point that it would drip each time I took a bite. I can’t tell you if the meat was good because all I could taste was the pita bread and the sauce. The pita bread is usually too toasted and is crunchy. I’m not used to this. The pita bread in other restaurants is usually warm and soft. Their hummus taste fine, but not great. If you go next door to Trader Joes you might find so hummus with similar taste. If you are hungry this place will make it but if you compare with other Mediterranean places… You probably won’t like it.

Drove from Moreno valley to redlands to try it out because we do not have anything close to this. Was really good even took a beef shawarma sandwich to go. I definitely will have to try some of the other menu items

as soon as i walked in the restaurant felt dead… kind of not friendly, timid cashier took my order, place felt like a restaurant in Hells Kitchen… just an awkward setting with awkward workers. all dressed in black… i ordered the chicken kabob plate, cuss the price difference between chicken vs beef/lamb is 2x. i had my order to go, and the food was descent. The chicken was a bit dry, and not moist. Little over cooked, the rice had little flavor, the dressing on the salad was definitely not that great. They give a good amount tho, and it did fill me up. I probably won’t visit again, especially with the type of atmosphere I have to face.

#Mediterranean Dinner from #phoenicia Kabob combo, substitute rice with salad and hummus with babaganosh. Delicious kabobs, good a quick dinner or carry out

Love this place, I am vegetarian and a great change of pace for me as far as the food is concerned. There are a surprising number of vegetarian plates available, that are both affordable and tasty. Prices are a little pricier than most casual eateries, but I really think it’s worth the price.

Typically, we like Phoenicia. By today’s experience, however, we now don’t. We ordered the moussaka dinner for myself and the Phoenicia variety plate for my husband to-go. The moussaka was fine. What really ticked my husband off was his burnt-to-a-crisp-so-it’s-inedible kifta. It was so burnt that he couldn’t even cut it with a knife. It was like a piece of charcoal – ridiculous! A lot of the meat on his plate was charred, which has never happened to us before. Usually, our food comes out nicely cooked and fresh so this was very disappointing. They weren’t really all that busy at the time our order was placed, so there’s no reason they couldn’t just fire up another kifta to ensure customer satisfaction. From now on, we’re going to consider Mr. Kebab where the quality of food is much better before we consider eating at Phoenicia again. Such a pity because we often order food to-go after we shop at Trader Joe’s.

This little Greek and Lebanese cuisine restaurant is in a class of its own. A gem of a find in a culinary dessert usually devoid of flavor and originality, a tiny little establishment in Redlands CA, Phoenicia, breaks from the usual bland and humdrum fare. Freshly cooked meals are served with a simplistic elegance normally far removed from this dessert enclave. Excellent size portions, cooked to perfection. This will not leave you hungry. Highly recommended.

I visited Phoenicia during my lunch break since it is located in a bustling Redlands Plaza. I am a big fan of Mediterranean food, and especially love chicken kabobs. I ordered the chicken kabob half plate for $ 7.95. I have to say that the meal was delicious. It included rice, salad, chicken kabob, hummus, and a warm pita bread. Great quality food, and not too greasy. My only complaint was that it wasn’t as much food as I had hoped for. However, you can order a chicken kabob full plate, which is what I will most likely do in the future. All in all, great place for Mediterranean food.
