Everything was excellent. Had the pork chops and they were delicious. Squid was also tasty. Will definitely come back

Read the reviews and word of mouth made us stop and try The Caprice. Not at all satisfied! The pasta came out cold for one dish and the other 2 pasta dishes were luke warm. I ordered the pork chop and it was covered in butter and lemon — disgusting! We came right as they opened so it took a while to be served. Maybe we will comeback at a later time for dinner but right now it’s highly unlikely.

Caprice offers fine dining and all that goes with it. A good atmosphere, wait staff who know their craft, and dishes which are properly done yet unique. If you appreciate a good dining experience, you won’t be disappointed. Good for date night. :)

I only came here for dessert, but this place is definitely one to try if you are in Redlands. The menu has something for everyone, without being complex. My friend has an allergy to nuts and they gladly prepared a dessert, sans nuts. I’m going to write an updated review once I try more than just dessert, but this was a great experience overall. Tasty and fresh food, friendly service, prompt seating, and great atmosphere. Definitely coming back

The food is delicious. .. but WHO pays $ 20+ for a BURGER??? Come on! If you have a taste for fine dining AND have a good amount of disposable income, this is your place. Fortunately for us, we had a gift card.

The ambiance in this place is really relaxing. The food is a bit overcharged our total was a about $ 135 for a steak plate pasta and wine. It was nonetheless good but not worth that much money!

There are plenty times when we would rather have fries over a salad. PLENTY. However, when I feel this way I choose the salad and Caprice has the best lunch salad. It is a beet salad that has the option of added tuna. Add the tuna. It is a gorgeous salad with many notes and it appealing to the palate as well as to the eyes. I highly recommend this place for lunch in Redlands. Sit outside, watch the passer us and do something good for your body.

Awesome food and great servers and service. The pork chop is so great. Highly recommended. Atmosphere is so inviting. Also a very fair corkage fee. It is a must try. You will get hooked.

Be warned — for birthdays & celebrations, if you bring a cake, they charge $ 3 per plate as a service charge. Other than that, I like the place, the food and the service, but I think they’re a bit overpriced for the portion sizes. That’s just my 2cents.

Ate here tonight and it was great! The baby squid appetizer was amazing and the sauce was great for dipping their amazing bread. I ordered the spicy rigatoni, but was brought the angel hair pasta with squid. They did mess up my order but Omg the angel hair pasta was AMAZING! I had three people including the manager apologize for the mix up in food and we were given free dessert and coffee. Honestly the angel hair pasta was so good I think I would have liked it more than my original order.

Some of the best food in town for the price! great service and good beer. I think the prices are great and I enjoy that there are never children there. Make sure to make a reservation because otherwise you will be waiting for a long time.

The best part of the meal was the bread! It was perfectly toasted and there was some pillowy-chew; none of that dry crumbly bread you see at other restaurants! Don’t get me wrong, their food is delicious. But pricey. Between a part of 8 I think we had a pretty good variety of foods ordered. Risotto, pasta, pizza, burgers. After sampling my friends dishes shamelessly, I’d say the best was their burger. Oh. My goodness. Sorry, in n out, sorry Umami burger, I love you guys too but Caprice sure has the best burger I know of! Another fun part of the meal was seeing my friend eat the cheese on the pizza. The mozzarella was so fresh and stringy it took him a good 3 minutes to break the string. So if you’re wondering, the quality of ingredients is definitely top notch!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Staff is friendly, helpful and they seem to know their menu better than most places. Food was good and far from bland. Definitely a place to try if you’ve never been.

First time here after having this spot in my bookmarks for a while! Food: Tuna Tartar — fell in love with the first bite. Of course I’m biased because I love sashimi but the quality of the fish here was definitely top notch for ahi tuna. Highly recommend. Heirloom Tomato — who would have thought a simple tomato could taste so good? Also fell in love with the first bite. Too bad I was already getting full from the all the appetizers… I would have eaten more. This could also be eaten as an entrée. The portion is big enough for a light meal. Complimentary bread — looked like it would be hard but it was toasted perfectly. Inside was soft and the crust had a bit of a crunch. Butternut squash risotto — it was good but I feel like the flavor of the risotto could be intensified a bit. Lamb chop(medium) — Could have been a bit more seasoned but it was cooked perfectly. Soft and not too chewy. Service: Our waitress was very kind and attentive. It’s a shame I didn’t catch her name and forgot to ask. We were originally a table of 6 but 1 more friend came in the middle of our meal and she was quick to accommodate us. Interior: We sat on the outside patio. The weather was perfect tonight and they had some ceiling fans on. Very relaxing and good vibes. Bathrooms are down the hall and not connected to the restaurant space but that isn’t a big deal. And yes, they are clean! Downside to this place are the prices. I don’t think the food I ate was worth the price but considering they use a large variety of ingredient combinations that you don’t usually see, I would say this is a nice place to eat every now and then.

This is our most frequent celebration restaurant. Food items are excellent, wine selection is great. The service is very good and often excellent. The price is bit high for more frequent visits, but always worth what we pay. Beef and seafood are always good picks. The small plates will leave you with room for the deserts which are good. OR you can go down to Ala minute for ice cream. Friday Nights in the summer are great because they have wonderful outdoor seating and often there is music from local musicians playing. Make a reservation if Friday or weekend.

In my opinion, Caprice is much more bar than it is restaurant. However, the food items are 4-star-restaurant-priced, if that makes sense. My bf and I hadn’t had a date night in awhile, so we decided to head to downtown Redlands. Caprice looked like a cute restaurant from the outside, but the patio was packed so we decided to eat inside. When we got inside, the layout was a bit confusing. I didn’t know if there was a host or if we were supposed to seat ourselves. The only seats by the bar were open so we decided to just sit there. We ordered: frites & garlic aioli, pasta ribbons and pesto, and brook trout. The frites and garlic aioli came out first. The fries are pretty standard, but I’m always a fan of garlic aioli, so it was definitely a good side dish My pasta ribbons and pesto was great. I think this dish deserves 4.5 stars. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, the salmon was a little crisp but otherwise fresh and tasty, and the veggies were flavorful and delicious as well. It was definitely a high quality dish, but my only gripe was the $ 22 price tag. I sampled the brook trout my bf ordered and it was good as well. I think Caprice could improve in some aspects: there should be a host/hostess placed in a reasonably visible area so guests could be directed as to where we should sit. I also think it’s a tad bit too pricey. The dishes are high-quality, but I’m pretty particular about where I spend a lot of money so I probably wouldn’t return.

It was my first time to the Redlands and after driving 2.5 to 3 hours from Venice Beach, I couldn’t be happier to turn off the 10 E into the quaint downtown Redlands neighborhood. A few weeks prior I had met someone that had recommended a few places to try out in Redlands, Caprice Café being one of them. Both my friend and I left satisfied! We arrived with no reservation and were seated on the patio immediately. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs and my water glass was always full(this is one of my top ways to gauge service). My friend was hoping for a glass of Rose but they did not have any offerings on the menu. She settled for a glass of White Burgandy while I sipped on a glass of Chardonnay. To start we ordered the burrata prosciutto crostini. Mama mia this was divine! The presentation was beautiful and the creamy burrata paired with the sweetness of a pear. prosciutto, and drizzle of balsamic was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend starting with this! For my main I ordered the Pasta Ribbons + Pesto with Salmon, Asparagus, and Mushrooms. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the veggies were robust with flavor. The pesto was a little heavy on the olive oil side of things, but I did not let that rain on my delicious dinner parade. For dessert, oh glorious dessert, my friend and I shared chocolate croissant bread pudding topped with a scoop of alla minute vanilla ice cream and dusted with hazelnuts. Yum Yum Yum! Overall I wined, I dined, I caught up with an amazing friend, and the food was delicious… Cheers to that!
