Probably the most tasteless Chinese food I have ever had. The Szechwan beef was clear in color. Water has more seasoning. Sorry owners, but get it together.

Average American Chinese food, EXCELLENT egg rolls. They seem to be the biggest difference for me in these family Chinese restaurants. I can always find something on the menu I like but the egg roll separates them the most. The place has been around for decades and the dining room shows it. I recommend carry out.

I’ve grown up with Ming’s. My family has always gotten carryout orders from there while I was growing up, so I have a sense of nostalgia about this place. It always had great good. It still does… for the most part. It can be very hit or miss at times. I usually get an order here about once a month since my mom lives nearby. Sometimes the rice is delicious, and other times it’s just so-so. The chicken is either perfectly cooked, or too well done, to the point of being hard to chew. While it’s still great Chinese for the most part, you may get the occasional meal that just isn’t quite up to par. Luckily for us, this has been the exception rather than the rule. Another reason for the three-star rating: If you get an order for carryout, you may have to wait in the place for about 10 minutes, even if you arrive about a half hour after ordering.

My family and I have been coming here since I could walk. They always made us feel like family when we came in. The food is amazing, although may not be what most people know Chinese to be. My favorite is the almond chicken and the garlic ribs. I love their egg drop soup as well. My family and I moved out of Redford so I was forced to go elsewhere for quick chinese, and it was not what I was used to :(So I make sure to take a trip to mings every now and then, I also tell everyone who hasn’t been this place is a must. Whenever I bring someone new, they are NEVER dissapointed. Love love love MING’s!!! It is an original and you will never find anywhere like it.

Well hello old friend, I missed you. Its been many-a-moon since I have eaten at Ming’s, l and i’m not quite sure why. Luckily I had a chance to come back to this place. I had the sesame chicken, and amazingly… it tasted like chicken. As far as my dish, I found it to be a little on the sweet side, its odd because I have had the general tso chicken in the past, and I thought they would be pretty much the same, but this was not the case. The fried rice was good, and the egg roll was great. I found this small little place to be clean, the workers friendly, and the value for the money really on the positive side. Glad I re-stumbled onto this place again, and have decided that it is now back on the radar. Now, you go!

I don’t understand the good reviews about this place. I ordered the beef and broccoli and it was the nastiest thing ever. It was a weord grey color and mushy and had no real flavor. I threw it out. Ill never EVER go there again.

I work in Redford and found this place on Unilocal.A friend and I ordered S&S chicken and Almond Chicken. Both were great. The Almond chicken sauce was like a cross between the brown gravy style and the yellow style — not my favorite, but it was good. The fried rice was legit — real scrambled egg inside and actual dark bits from the wok. The star of the show was the obvious hand-made egg-rolls. They were the best I’ve ever had, honestly. I’d go back just for the egg rolls.

For your typical small Chinese restaurant this was a real surprise. Doesn’t look like much from the outside being stuck in a small shopping mall right next to a Cash Advance place. But is clean inside with some booths and tables and hand written signs with the lunch and dinner specials. I noticed there were some dishes you don’t normally see in places like this, Green Bean Chicken and Honey Chicken. I got the impression that«take out» was how most diners got their food from this place. I however decided to eat in. I ordered the Green Bean Chicken, it was great, a generous portion of fresh green beans, chicken and vegetables, fried rice and egg roll. The plum sauce and hot mustard were served in real bowls not the packets you tend to see in these places. A large pot of tea. all for about $ 7.00.
