This place has some awesome phở. It was probably the best phở I’ve had. The broth is full of flavor and very delicious. Do not add any additional sauce to it as those will take away from the flavor. The meat and vegetables in the phở are also very good. I would highly recommend phở lucky to anyone who enjoys phở.

I LOVE this place. My husband and i have been eating here since the week they opened several years ago. It has a very simple and small menu and it’s made perfectly ever single time. Try the summer rolls and the vermicelli bowls, you will not regret it. The staff is always so friendly and I love the owner.

Lemon grass pork was yummy! Spring rolls were also very good. I live in Dearborn and don’t have many options for viet food. We love going here for phở in a peaceful rainy day ^___^

Phở is decent. For being the only place close to home in West det, it fills the need when I want a bowl of soup. Unfortunately, it is not as good as the soup found on the east side. phở hang, thuy trang etc. Also, they don’t have bahn mi at the West det/Redford location. With phở gaining popularity here in the det area, hopefully competition breeds the best and phở lucky steps up their game. Now that there’s another phở shop here in the west det/Redford area on Plymouth, maybe I can find a place that rivals the east sides offerings. Side note, can I get a bubble tea anywhere over here? Being introduced to phở while in Seattle a few yrs back. I’m definitely glad to have options here at home. Hopefully things turn for the better now that the soup is gaining popularity here.

Not sure what’s the big deal about this place. I’m guessing the reviewers are mostly Vietnamese beginners. I’ve been to this place many times now. Only because it’s convenient and in the foodie desert of Dearborn there aren’t many other choices. If you compare this place to more authentic Viet places in Madison Heights this cannot compare. The broth is not as rich tasting and flavorful as say Que Hong and the bahn mi is like a 6 inch snack. I just can’t understand what’s the big deal. The only thing this chain of restaurants got going for it is they’ve expanded beyond the Chinatown/Little Saigon areas into more mainstream locations to introduce to the masses. But for more authentic flavors you’re better off elsewhere.

We’re lucky to have Phở Lucky and a couple other Vietnamese places opening up on the west side. Great soup! Great summer rolls!

Very good phở, full of flavor and deliciousness, probably the best phở iv had in Michigan. I got the shrimp phở it’s not on the menu but u can ask for it. We Lao got the summer roll minus the pork, it’s peanut sauce is to die for, super tasty! The service was very fast and our waitress was very pleasant! We had a good experience and would come back again! :)

For those who don’t know, Phở is comfort food. This is homemade Phở. There is no way I could finish the regular bowl let alone the challenge bowl. The summer rolls are die for also. If you want to try the Vietnamese national dish come here to eat.

I had carry out from Phở Lucky on Sunday evening with my boyfriend and it was okay. I got the C1 — Com Ga Nurong Xa — grilled boneless chicken breast with lemon grass, vegetables and served with a side of steamed rice. I added a fried egg to it. It was fine, just nothing special. I’m also not a big fan of dark meat, so I only ate half of it because there was a lot of dark meat. My boyfriend really enjoyed his Phở and it has a spice smell to it. His only comment was that he would order extra meat because the quantity of meat was very small. I’m going to give it another shot and got the vermicelli bowl next time. My overall recommendation is if you’re expecting something special, don’t go with the rice plate. It’s just simple and run-of-the-mill.

Totally dig this little hole in the wall. AMBIANCE– this place is TINY. I’m talking 15 – 20 people max up in this joint. Not much in the way of decoration, this place seems primarily for take out or quick lunches. SERVICE– our server was super friendly and attentive. Given the small number of tables, you would expect that– and she was. MENU– pretty limited menu. I picked this place because it popped up in Unilocal as a vegetarian joint. However, most of the stuff has meat in it. Thankfully they were able to swap out the meat with tofu, and my friend was good. A handful of apps., soups, and limited entrees. This place is pretty much a phở joint. They even have a $ 20 bowl which if you can eat is free. It has something ridiculous like 3 lbs of noodles, a 1 lb of meat and a 1lb of veggies. If you’re feeling lucky, check it out. FOOD– my friend ordered some tofu stir fry of some sort that he really enjoyed while I got the phở(not the $ 20 one). It was a good amount of food and came out pretty quickly. The broth was flavorful and when I was done, I was left wanting a little bit more… maybe not the $ 20 bowl more, but just a little more. OVERALL– enjoyed it. Probably wouldn’t make the trip out there just for this place, but if I was in the area, I would certainly consider it. CELEBRITYRATING– Dat Phan

I’ve been here twice now, and will go back again. I want to love this place as there aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The food is decent, the prices are great, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. The phở and bun dishes are good, but nothing amazing. I would not recommend the hot Vietnamese coffee. The«hot» coffee was lukewarm, mediocre quality, and floating on top a separate layer of cold condensed milk. Maybe our server forgot to warm the cold milk and it cooled the coffee down. It’s also possible I’m just spoiled from having great Vietnamese coffee.

Good Phở, great prices. I’m not crazy about the hard pressed meatballs, and I would like more flavor in the broth, but overall it was a good dining experience. Clean place, friendly staff, attentive waitresses, and the cooks in the back were laughing and having a ball. I’d come back.

It’s the best Phở I’ve had outside of Seattle. The food is fresh and comes out fast. The service is fantastic. No surprises here, as the other 3 restaurants they own in metro Detroit are similarly well received. Met the owner and he is really excited to be in the neighborhood. I live in the building and they’ve already done a lot more than the previous restaurants to make us feel like a part of the family. Welcome to the neighborhood Phở Lucky! I recommend the P4, the meat balls and round steak are phenomenal. The spring rolls and summer rolls are also very good. You really can’t go wrong here.

This place was nice. The décor is typical of a little Vietnamese restaurant. The staff is friendly and the phở was delicious. I would have like to see mint and cilantro song with lettuce for their crispy rolls. They almost scored a four, but one of the guys took my girlfriend’s bowl before she was done eating. We figured he was putting out in a to go container but as it turns out he just threw it away without even asking. Would still recommend.

I don’t pretend to be a phở expert. But I’ve made the drive to delicious places in Ann Arbor, Sterling Heights, and Detroit and it’s always been a meal I enjoy. This place sets the gold standard, from my experience. The broth is amazingly delicious, they do NOT skimp on veggies and meat in the dishes, and the portions are impressive. The owner(manager?) was polite and made sure our meal was perfect, and that was on top of an already delightful server. From now on when I want phở, I will save myself the long drives to other parts of Southeast Michigan and enjoy the best of the best a hop skip a jump away from my house.

There wasn’t a place to sit at 12:20 on a Wednesday when I arrived, always a good sign in my opinion. Servers were extremely welcoming and I got a seat in less than a minute. I ordered a Pepsi and the Phở with beef and meatballs. It arrived before I could finish 2WWF plays, and was piping hot. I ordered regular not large, which still could feed 2 average eaters. I confess, I added a tiny bit of salt and pepper which made the broth perfect. I ate at the Phở Lucky in Redford and I thought the broth a little lacking flavor. Here it definitely was more robust. Can’t beat the service here, and I loved the Phở. I’ll be back.
