Moseley Family Cellars

I went to Moseley Family Cellars for the first time on Saturday, May 28, 2016. It’s just off I-​5 by a couple of minutes. The tasting room is nice with seating if you wish and of course the bar to stand and do your tastings. I met Marty, owner and winemaker for the first time. He was explaining to first time wine tasters about what to smell for, look for and taste when sampling wines. Now that’s a personal touch!
As I was sampling wines, others started to wonder in. Seems these people were traveling on I-​5 and saw the Winery on a google map and decided to stop in. They talked about how they liked the fact it was close to the Interstate so after driving a while you could pull off and enjoy some wine! Good move Marty and Mimi!
During my tastings, Marty offered to take a few of us into the back where he processes wine and where the barrel room is. He gave us the history of how things started for him and his wife, Mimi. What a great story! He explained the different wines he had aging in different barrels. He even gave us several tastings out of the barrels of wines that will eventually make it out on the shelf. I can’t wait for the Super Tuscan! Delicious!
I found this family winery, in every sense of the words, very warm and friendly. Both Marty and Mimi are very into making sure your experience with them is the best! As Marty mentioned during our winery tour. It’s not always about volume! I couldn’t agree more. There is just something about small productions that have that personal touch to them and it’s obvious the Moseley’s care a lot about their wines but also about the people who come to taste and take home a bottle or two to drink with family members or friends.
The wines are excellent and the whole atmosphere is engaging and laid back. Just what drinking wine should be. You guys did it right! I most definitely will be back and will spread the word about this small, unique and family friendly winery. Cheers! I HIGHLY recommend a visit if one gets the chance.

I love this wine. If you are a wine lover and want some amazing wine the Moseley’s know what they are doing. I buy from them often especially their S. Blanc. They also are so friendly if you want to do a wine tasting.

Lots of love for Moseley Family Cellars, which recently moved to a gorgeous facility on the north-​end of town. The tasting room makes you feel like you’re in Napa… excellent ambiance. I don’t know a lot about wine, but I know I LOVE their rose. And for the icing on the cake — the Moseley’s are generous with the community. This is a place you’ll want to return to with your date/​girlfriends/​visiting guests again and again!

Redding is so lucky to have Moseley Family Cellars… they are beyond amazing! I love their fabulous local wines, (especially the new Chardonnay) and their friendly welcoming family atmosphere! We had our director Christmas Party in their Barrel Room that was beautifully decorated; everyone enjoyed the festive ambiance, great wine and delicious food! I just love Mimi and her infectious community support and praise! Thank you, Moseley Family Cellars for all that you do!

Moseley Family Cellars is an incredible place to go wine tasting. Mimi & Marty are so friendly and nice. Their wine arguably the best in the North State. I am a big fan of their Sauvignon Blanc… Thank you Mimi & Marty for always being so friendly :)

It is so nice to see a local winery offer such a wonderful wine tasting experience! Their new building is beautiful and the tasting room has a fantastic atmosphere, filled with wine barrels. I think I learned more about the complexities of wine than I ever have before. Became a wine club because of the experience! Thank you!

I love love love Moseley Family Cellars — it’s such a great experience from the moment you first walk in. The are originally from the South, so they have that Southern Hospitality thing mastered. The wines are great, and I love buying them to take to friends for dinner parties and holidays. They do lots of events at the winery, so it’s not just a tasting room. Mimi and Marty are also very well established in the community and do lots of things to bring about good in Redding. I can’t speak more highly about them and their winery. Bravo!

We got several bottles of wine for family and friends for the holidays. It was a hit! Everyone loved the wine and was asking us where they could get more. So thankful our community has a place like Moseley Family Cellars!

Went out for an afternoon with the girls. We did taste flight at Moseley Winery. Of course, that lead to a bottle. Thank you Mimi for making our visit fun and intimate. We will be back. You’re the best!

Lovely winery in Redding/​Shasta Lake. The husband and wife team were terrific to talk to, very knowledgeable about their wines and the tasting room was very comfortable to lounge in for a while. Looking forward to going back.

Good people, great wine, you can’t go wrong here! Marty and Mimi are the best. If you haven’t been to MFC you owe it to yourself to go check it out! My personal favorite is the Syrah!

Amazing and wine and atmosphere. The Moseley’s are incredibly friendly and their staff is very knowledgeable! They treat you like family! The wine is so delicious I can’t pick a favorite. very reasonably priced and dog friendly!!!

I have followed Moseley Family wines since I stumbled upon them at their tasting room (off Market Street) a few years ago. Excellent wine, reasonably priced and such a vibrant, lovely host and hostess. I purchase their wine for Holiday parties and other occasions — and I’m looking forward to hosting a party at their new warm and inviting location. I highly recommend!

Had a wonderful time tasting on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Our ages ranged from 29 to 75 and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Their tasting room is warm, inviting and beautifully decorated. Since we were in a group, we were able to use the Barrel Room, which had amazing ambiance.
The wine tasting is very reasonable with a good selection and variety of wines. The owners are very hospitable, knowledgeable and passionate about their wines and the love of their product shines through. Their motto «come as guests, leave as family» couldn’t be more accurate. We all ended up purchasing some of their award winning wines. I highly recommend the Sauvignon Blanc and their Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which I purchased. I have already prebooked my birthday party in their Barrel Room, though it is not for several months. I am sure I will be back soon since you really do feel like family when you leave. A must do whether you live in the area or are visiting NorCal.

The Moseley Wines are delightful! Both Marty and Mimi Moseley are passionate about winemaking and it shows in the lovely wines they produce. Even more profound is the sense of family that one experiences when visiting the winery on Mountain Lakes Blvd. The tasting room is warm and cozy and the Moseley’s make visitors feel at home. «Come as guests, leave as family» is what they often say. It’s true.

The Moseley Family wines are wonderful! And the family is a pleasure to be around. You will certainly not be disappointed by the wine or the interactions with the people who work there and own MFC. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves immensely when visiting the tasting room and sampling the amazing wines. A truly special experience. We will definitely be back. :)
