Conveniently located down the street. My absolute favorite is the blended Reese’s cup but I am currently in love with the cold brew with cream and vanilla added. The perfect jolt to a perfect morning. The Barista’s are always friendly, helpful and patient. I would recommend Java Detour to all.

Meh… that was my experience in tasting their mocha. I ordered 3 shots in a med mocha and I still could not taste coffee. You are better off going to your cupboard over this place.

Stopped here this morning for a coffee and it was pretty much the most friendly coffee experience ever. The girls working were very friendly and accommodating and I wish I had something like this at home. Plus my drink was super yummy :)

All of the other coffee joints are very good, but I think I like the coffee here the best. I just get the medium $ 2.00 dark roast usually, and the flavor of the coffee is the best I’ve had so far. The service is fast and friendly and when my doggie is with me, he’ll get a little treat. He would probably give the dog biscuit 5 stars too. I used to drive past this place every day without ever thinking about giving it a try, but my curiosity gave way and I think this is a nice place to get a quick cup of coffee or whatever else they have. I can’t think of anything wrong with it, so I give it 5 stars.

Currently waiting for my drink right now and honestly this place has AMAZING drinks, slightly over priced but they’re usually really good. But they aren slightly inconsistent sometimes my drink is amazing and sometimes it’s not. The service is what gets me, these people act like it will kill them to smile. They have tips in their jar and I have NO IDEA HOW. Every single time I come here I never get a smile, just another reason why I’ll always be a Dutch girl. People don’t realize if I’m having a shitty day and I get someone super nice it makes my day better but when your totally just dull and boring and not even bother to smile at your customer, you shouldn’t be working here. If they had better customer service they would have way more regulars. I’m very disappointed.

Barista was rude and didn’t pay attention to my order because she was too busy having a conversation with her coworker. Because she didn’t pay attention to my drink order I ended up paying for two 20oz drinks and was given two 16oz drinks… Will never come here again.

Love this coffee shop! For someone who loves sweet coffee, Java Detour hits the spot. They have an amazing selection of different flavors as well as all the basics from hot to blended. The drive thru makes it especially nice so that I don’t have to take the baby out of the car. I don’t know what they do to their coffee but it provides a much better pick me up then Starbucks and tastes better too!

The best Mocha in Redding. If only it weren’t strictly a drive-​thru. My wife and I are regulars and the baristas know our order before we tell them. Friendly staff. Biscuit for our dog is a nice touch. Good price for large quantities. Happy hour pricing is nice also.

The parking lot is a huge pain in the ass especially early When Its busy if your in a hurry dont even try… The boys are nice but never make my drink right. The girls make my drinks right but are snobby every time I’ve went even when I tip so I don’t go back… I’d rather go to naked downtown or the human bean.

I used to go here daily, but have switched to Dutch Brothers. They charge for all additions to their mocha, and Dutch Brothers does not. I add caramel. Their smoothies are not as good as Dutch Brothers, and are more ezpensive.

Being from a place where I’ve never seen a strictly drive up only coffee place, I like to try new things, and this place does not disappoint! I haven’t tried alot of drinks but the Black and White Mocha speaks for itself, and is worth it alone!

I love Java Detour. The staff is very upbeat, friendly & fast. They already know my order because I’ve been going there so long. It’s fast and delicious. They have a variety of coffees, teas & shakes served hot, iced or blended. Also they serve doughnuts & breakfast sandwiches, suckers for the kids and dog biscuits for your friendly K-​9.
The location is very convenient right off I-​5 for most however I live south of town w/​in walking distance of Starbucks and yet I wont go anywhere else except Java Detour!
They also do accept walk ups, so even if your not driving you dont have to miss out.

We go there all the time. The coffee is great and the service is even better. The people who work there are extremely friendly.
In fact, we go there so much that they always know what we want when we drive up. We won’t go anywhere else!!!
