This was awesome. The burgers were great. I had the Georgetown burger, and it was perfectly cooked. So good. The others in my party had the Redding burger and Broiled Salmon, which both really enjoyed. There’s also outside seating which seems nice. I’ll definitely go back.

Just left Black Cat. Had a great meal, nice atmosphere and pleasant service. The one negative of our experience was the glass of wine. We paid $ 12 each for a glass of wine that was not even filled ¼ way. It was a very weak glass of wine. I would go back again, but hopefully this time get a more impressive glass of a $ 12 wine.

There are so many things to like about this place. Let me start with those. Very friendly bartenders(especially Donny), good menu with wide variety of choices, it’s affordable, cozy and convenient. Also, in a usually sleepy area, it’s nice to have a place that keeps their kitchen open late. But now for the downside… I’ve been there 5 times and for one reason… because I know they carry Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. That is all I drink. And yet 3 out of the 5 times I have been here(tonight included) they told me they just ran out of it or it hadn’t come in yet. I was told by the bartender that KJ is their most popular wine and that’s why they run out. Sorry but that’s bad planning if you ask me. I’ll give it one more try but if they are out of it again then that’s my last visit.

Returned to the Black Cat bar/restaurant for another casual evening. The place really feels comfortable and inviting. Best chow: salmon, burgers and fried clam strips. I’ll happily go back for those items. However, to be avoided are both the fried shrimp and the fish and chips. Weird how they can do a sensational job with the crispy clam strips but can’t seem to get to first base with the other two.(Your shrimp plate may impress you when it is served as the shrimp look quite large. Unfortunately it is an illusion. When you bite in, you’ll eventually find a little shrimp enclosed within the thick oversized somewhat undercooked and soggy beer batter.). Same for the fish. So like many restaurants you have to figure out, by trial and error, what the chef can and cannot do.

Enjoyed a great lunch today after a local business meeting. Waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. The manager/owner stopped by table to check on our meal. Great simple pub menu at reasonable prices. Will stop again when in town.

My husband and I LOVE going here on Sundays for lunch. They make their own Bloody Mary mix of which I am VERY picky about and it’s the best in the area. I especially love The Rachel(pastrami) sandwich, The B.L.T. with a Twist(has avocado) and the nachos which are loaded and ready to share — seriously, don’t get them for just you — it’s a very good portion!

Service was good. Fish and chips was over done and didn’t taste like anything. French onion soup seems like the only thing they can get right that isn’t straight out of the freezer. Waited for my meal for an additional 5 minutes while everyone else I was with ate. Also weird that both tvs were dedicated to national geographic showing crocodiles rip apart animals, made for a delightful dining experience. Cook and the 2 or 3 children he had working for him have no idea how to run a restaurant. This is a bar that serves frozen food.

I am giving them 5 stars for not even blinking an eye when 4 women with a baby came in at 4:30 Fri evening. Our daughter’s were at Sparklicious so we figured let’s go get some drinks and snacks. Bar was very happening, otherwise it was empty. We were seated at the table, the waitress was polite and accommodating. Calamari was great though the marinara was little watery.

Once again we are enjoying a lovely evening at favorite local spot The Black Cat Grille! If ever there was a place«where everybody knows you name» this is it ! My mom is 89 and everything she walks in they treat her like a queen. The food is fresh and delicious, the décor warm and inviting and the staff amazing. I drive up from Philadelphia to see mom and we never miss our favorite evening here. !!! A must do!

Was back in Georgetown the other week visiting with an old friend. We went to The Black Cat for lunch and drinks. We were met with the best service and very good food. Jen, the bartender, was incredibly attentive and pleasant. The beer selection was awesome… good beers on tap and by the bottle. The sandwich and nachos(we shared these) were excellent. Overall, a tremendous experience.

I ordered the Black Cat burger and the food looked good, but I asked for it well done and it is was no where near that. The onion rings were too chewy and greasy. Would not go there again.

Nice, pleasant, local pub. Very simple menu with grill selections and a few other dishes. Dining room can be noisy at time with lower music played over the small, but crowded dining room. Deck dining is unremarkable, but a relaxing spot to park and chat. Service is prompt, food is well prepared, prices are quite reasonable, parking is easy and most of the crowd seems to be polite locals looking for a simple meal and casual chat. The dining areas are smaller than the buildings appearance lets on, so plan your visits accordingly if you don’t want to wait for a table. Starts clearing out after 8pm. A great casual alternative to the Road House and not far at all from the«Georgetown strip» just off Route 7.

Place is a nice addition to the area. The good: Food is good to pretty good, would not say excellent, but I have yet to be disappointed, but I have noticed some inconsistencies night to night. The place has a nice, charming feel to it. The place is small and a bit tight. Large groups will have trouble getting a table. I have never made a reservation, so I can’t comment. The bar is nice and has a good«towny» feel. The bad: The wait staff is not the best. Some times they are rude, sometimes stoned(seems) and other times quite pleasant. The wait can sometimes be long for a table. Overall: I am very happy with the place. Food is quite good, just sometimes the waitstaff stinks.

You’ve probably driven by this place 10 times since it opened last year. Follow my example — grab your family and go there one night! The pub, which has a ton of charm, is a delightful place to spend an evening. They have a great beer selection, with several great drafts, and TVs over the bar for the whole restaurant to enjoy. For food, we had a hard time picking from the menu, which had so many great options, but went with the burgers, the catfish sandwich and a grilled cheese from the«kids menu»(just ask for it). Despite having another party of 16 already seated, our food came out fast! It was delicious! We capped it off with some amazing desserts(brownie sundae and chocolate/banana bread pudding. Glad that we stopped!

It’s time to change the menu. I like The Black Cat but there is only so much on the menu that I personally don’t like. Tonight’s visit was not up to par. The waiter was kind of rude when he told me if It where a Friday he wouldn’t allow me to order off the menu I only asked for a different cheese and no tomato… is that that difficult? When 2 in my party arrived early they where rushed to order something but I couldn’t even get a glass of water with my wine. I hate to put a negative review up but customer service is a big deal for me. Food was great but I would like to see a change.

This restaurant is a welcome addition to the Georgetown restaurant scene! The place is just beautiful, a ton of attention to detail. It is pub-like with tons of Americana decorations thoughtfully done. It is a small place, but that is a good thing. The bar is separated from dining by a small divider wall. Food and drink… the wine list although small was unique and I liked that. Service was great. For starters I had the filet tips, and my friend had the calamari. The filet tips were a burst of flavor in every bite, interesting and unique. The calamari was crispy and tasty and however sauce wasn’t that tasty. My friend had the burger and I had the mussels; both meals were exceptional! There are plenty of options on the menu and many specials too. It is a small space so may be tight on weekends but it’s worth it!

Very comfortable spot — just opened — great food and great beer. We enjoyed our meal out with friends immensely. Very nice involved and conscientious and hospitable owners and staff! Had the short rib special which was«off the hook» but the baby back ribs and Fish and Chips were also outstanding. Had a(5) star experience — for the type of establishment it is — but need to scale back to give them something to strive for!

First and foremost, I highly doubt the veracity of the 5 star reviews for this place(notice that the posters are new people with 1 – 2 reviews… fake). If I could give it a negative star value, it would be –5 stars! I took an hour out of work to take the family to this local place for lunch. Since the place opened recently I waited a bit to allow the management to work out the kinks and fine tune the place because all new places need that. When I went there today I expected everything to be up to speed and that, since it’s the new place around still, they would put their best foot forward. Nothing prepared me for this terrible experience. The staff was incredibly slow and completely disorganized. After 45 minutes waiting for the food(and I was FUMING) the owner shows up with a million excuses offering to comp me the lunch… I don’t need a free lunch and by that point I just handed him my corporate card told him to charge it and get our food to go. I am sorry but my time is worth a lot more than you can afford. Anyway, I insisted on paying while he told me that he was having the food bagged. I left leaving my wife in the place waiting for an additional 10 – 15 minutes for the food. We are talking about 2 salads and 2 burgers… Medium well. The burgers are rare at best, my salad looks smaller than what most people give to children and you did not sealed the lid on the balsamic dressing… It went through the paper bag staining my tan car mats(those mats are $ 120.00 each!). The food ended up feeding our dogs. I paid over $ 50.00 for this and obviously he needs the money more than I do. HIRESTAFF!!! I will never step in there again. Best of all, my wife looked at the receipt and while the«owner» told me that he was out of Sweet potato fries… guess what… he charged me for it too.(I paid the entire bill anyway, he needs the money more than I do) Mind you, the food NEVER made it our table… he did not box it to go, it was never served to us. Beth C. you are a liar because I was at the end table and there was an elder couple next to us whom was also rather upset and behind was a gentleman with a child whom left 30 minutes into this. There were no women anywhere near me and my wife was incredibly upset, not at me but at this crap place. I was incredibly nice and I even paid for this disaster, I hope the owner puts the $ 50.73 to good use in hiring extra help.
