We really enjoyed eating at this place I got the hot pastrami with Swiss sandwich on Rye, my wife got the chicken salad sandwich. Very cool place to go in and eat l. Had a great coffee while I was there place was crowded which usually means that they’re doing good business I recommend this to be one of your stops to eat while you’re in town

We’ve been there many times and think it’s good by Red River standards. Good kolachies. The coffee and cinnamon rolls are great. The WIFI doesn’t consistently work but the service is always friendly.

I love this place. The coffee is always hot and the sandwiches are amazing. Located right in the middle of downtown red river, it’s a great place to get a post skiing sandwich or a nice breakfast if shotgun willies is over crowded like it usually is.

Quality food. Chicken salad is so fresh, but bland. Reuben was delish but small. The bread is good but mild in flavor. Portions are NOT overwhelming. Self serve drinks are fun. Staff is good. They are attentive. Reputation is great in town. Only two stars because it was slow, the cook changed the pasta salad recipe and didn’t tell anyone, and the bacon was clearly microwave precook type.

We went to Mountain Treasures today for a late lunch. It was disappointing. There are signs soliciting diners to write positive reviews on Trip Advisors and that was the first negative. There were three«local» men sitting and having a conversation that was so loud I could not hear the waitress. Conversations progressed as if it was a bar, not a restaurant. I couldn’t even walk past the men to go to the rr without asking them to move because they were blocking the path. The Reuben was touted as excellent so I ordered a turkey Reuben and my husband asked for turkey and cheese. The problem was the turkey– it was like packaged, shaved, processed meat. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were over cooked and tasted like frozen food from Krogers. The atmosphere was not much. We really expected– and hoped– for more. We chose this place based on Unilocal reviews and the fact we are from Houston as are the owners. I hope this was not the norm)-:

We stopped in Red River at the Mountain Treasures Bistro for a late lunch. My wife had a half tuna salad sandwich and a salad. I had a ¼ muffaletta sandwich with a cup of homemade noodle soup. Both of our lunches were very good. We ended our lunch with a shared freshly baked cherry turnover. It was excellent. In fact, the whole place smells of freshly baked goods, breads, turnovers, rolls, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and kolaches. Our only complaint was that the service was initially slow. Service okay after our order was finally taken.

Great kolaches! The bread part is like Grandma used to make. We ate here two mornings with coffee and two kolaches each for a great breakfast. Nice folks, lots of locals, good experience.

The cinnamon rolls weren’t very fresh. The girl popped them in microwave to soften them up a bit. My kids ate most of their rolls, but then again, they’d have to be pretty vile for them to refuse cinnamon rolls. I had a heart-shaped blueberry muffin that was dry and crumbled like sawdust in my mouth. My husband wasn’t very impressed with the kolaches. They weren’t bad, we’ve just had better. A LOT better. The best part of the visit was the perfectly brewed ice tea. Not enough to convince us to come back during our short trip to Red River.

We love this place. They have the best soups of the day and they could charge way more for it than they do they are so good. Mountain Treasures is a combo coffee house, deli, and art gallery/shop. The pastries and kolaches are fresh made.(Kolaches and cinnamon rolls are to die for. OMG) The deli sandwiches are stuffed full of meat and fillings, but really, when I order a sandwich there and another person orders the soup of the day, I wish I had ordered the soup. Not because the sandwich isn’t super tasty. It’s that the soup is so awesome it inspires jealously. If the soup of the day is the green chili stew, don’t even think about ordering anything else. It would be a sin to miss out on their green chili stew. Seriously.
