My husband and I booked a room at 1 am as a last ditch effort to find a hotel. We’ve never been in Iowa before and everything else was booked. The hotel and our room was so clean you could eat off the floor. Also the staff was very friendly and didn’t feel like they had to repetitively knock on our door and yell «housekeeping.» If we ever go that way again, we will be sure to book a room.

I was generally not impressed. It could be because I’m not from a small town such as Red Oak, but I thought it was pretty pricey for what it really was. It wasn’t awful, but I can definitely think of hotels I’ve stayed in other places that were a lot nicer (both in décor and price). I do have to say that the lobby is beautiful. The event room was pretty decent as well-​one of the best that I’ve seen. Bathrooms didn’t have shampoo and only had one small bar of soap. Breakfast was pretty good.

A FINE PLACE IN A SMALL IOWA TOWN
This is not a deluxe hotel, but for the small town of Red Oak, it more than meets the need. If you are in the area for business or visiting, this is a clean hotel, nice lobby, rooms are large with moderate décor. It features a restaurant and lounge, and the service is very warm and friendly.
