I am at Mamacitas having an amazing margarita. I have eaten here a few times now and it is delicious. I highly recommend the brisket tacos. They are out of this world good. The servers are always nice and the service is great. I wish we had one in Waxahachie.

I enjoyed the food very much. Good salsa, queso, and tacos. I went at 2:00 so it was quiet and the waitress was very attentive.

Horrible servive. They kept taking our order and then telling us they didn’t have the item. They charged us extra for something that was part of a meal. Then brought it out after we were done eating. We ask to speak to a manager, we were told he is in the back. Margaritas were good, but that’s it.

I find the service and food excellent. I eat there just about every week. The chips and salsa are great.

I gave 1 star because I had to in order to post a review. We’ve been here about 4 times. The food is always decent, not great. The chicken flautas are fried to oblivion and dry. The salsa is good but hardly makes up for the rude older lady that you have to deal with when placing an order. She acts as though you’re completely putting her out by showing up. They’re hours show that they’re open on Sunday but I guess they took off for Super Bowl because they’re closed today. At best you could be consistent.

My wife and I eat here at least once a week. I don’t understand the bad reviews. We always have great food and fast, friendly service. Its an family owned business. They have daily lunch specials and nothing on the menu is very expensive at all. Don’t let the bad reviews fool you this is a good place to eat.

Just finished eating. Had the special burrito plate with tomatillo sauce. DELICIOUS! Chicken and beef were very good. Rice and beans were perfect! Service was very good and Rudy the owner came and talked to us and let us try the bean soup which was awesome! Gonna be our spot!

If I could give place ZERO stars, I would. It was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. And they charged me $ 50 for 2 nasty burritos and a tiny quesadilla! What kind of crap is that? They weren’t nice, the service sucked, the food was atrocious, and everyone was unprofessional. They didn’t even have hot sauce. What kind of Mexican place doesn’t have hot sauce! I will absolutely never go back to this place.

There is lots of bad reviews for this place but I went today for lunch and it was really really good. The enchiladas were great I had two beef and one sour cream. Drinks stayed full the waiters were nice and always made sure we were happy. I’m definitely going back soon.

I love Mexican food! This is the saddest experience that I have ever had. The desert was the best part of the meal. I ordered enchiladas which under seasoned and one step from having the texture of a TV dinner. I even practiced the visit a place twice before you judge it… nope I was right.

TERRIBLE!!! Everything about this place is horrible from the service to the food! My husband and I were seated immediately and had our order taken by who I believe to be the owner(wife). She was very cold and seemed as if she didn’t want to come to work that day. I ordered the enchiladas for lunch which didn’t even come with beans and rice! What Mexican food place doesn’t serve dishes with beans and rice?! Anyway, the cheese was totally from a can. The chicken was dry and tasteless. My husband ordered the non sizzling fajitas that were just as disgusting as the enchiladas. It was so bad that we asked for the check without finishing even half the meal. I can’t believe they’re still in business. They must have great drinks to keep you nice and drunk enough to not notice how horrible the food is. Beware. This place is simply nasty.

This is literally the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life, and being a college student, I’ve had my fair share of taco bell chalupas and those chalupas seem like 100% authentic mexicano cuisine when compared to this mess. We stumbled upon this place while driving home to San Marcos from the DFW airport, and after our 5 hour flight we were starving and needed a drink. After driving off the highway for a Whataburger we spotted, we saw that Mamacita’s had a ginormous sign advertising happy hour with a big margarita, and being the broke college kid I am, that’s all I needed to see. So we go inside and are told to sit wherever, which is cool. Upon sitting down, I thought to myself, «Oh my gosh, how cute is this place, this is someone’s baby.» I’m all about supporting someone’s dream and upon tasting the salsa, I was excited because it was actually good, but that was the last good thing we experienced. Red Flag #1: So we asked the waitress for a drink menu and she said they didn’t have one, ummmm how are you advertising happy hour margaritas with no drink menus? Whatever. We got a margarita and they were strong so I was happy. Red Flag #2: BIGONE. We ordered a queso, and I kid you not, OURWAITRESSBROUGHTOUTWHATTASTEDANDLOOKEDLIKE A CUPOFRICO’S CHEESE, LITERALLYTHEKINDYOUGETATTHEMOVIETHEATERWITHSOMECHILIPOWDERONIT. ITWASGELATINOUS. LIKEWTF!!! 7DOLLARSFORCANNEDCHEESE. QUE?! MUNDE?!! Red Flag #3: Our waitress brings out our food, super fast and she gave my boyfriend some enchiladas with a fluorescent yellow cream sauce that looked radioactive and I didn’t get a good look at mine because she dropped it and shattered the plate. Not to worry, she literally turned back into the kitchen and returned with my «tostadas» IMMEDIATELY. LIKEASAP. WHATWASCOOKED?! ITWASLIKEBADDORMFOOD, EVERYTHINGCAMEFROM A CAN. ITWASSTOREBOUGHTTOSTADASCOVEREDWITHSTOREBOUGHTBEANSANDSTOREBOUGHT«CHEESE». The tostadas didn’t even have meat on them. I was so disappointed man. This place is literally a kitchen nightmare. After she brought these«tostadas» I was like oh no, we’re leaving. I politely told her that this was not the quality I thought I was paying for, and that I would like it taken off our check. It wasn’t the poor waitress’ fault, and I still tipped her well. AND we ended up at the Whataburger so life was good again.

So so. Don’t order the brisket enchiladas — very dry. My husband’s brisket flautas were dry and tasteless. The place was empty on a weeknight at dinner time. Not returning. They did not charge us for extra hot sauce as one of the other reviewers wrote. The rice looked like minute rice.

NOPENOTCHANGINGREVIEW After owner reaches out to me. If anything it just reinforces why I would never recommend this place. This is by far one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten at ever!!! My husband and I were working late and wanted to try something local and close. I knew my girlfriend had gone here several times for happy hour so I thought it couldn’t be too bad. Boy was I wrong! We were seated almost immediately and the bar/dining area where they have the sci-fi channel playing with someone having their leg removed on the TV in a very graphic manner. Oh nothing makes me hungrier than watching someone get dismembered. We asked one of the waiters to change the station he did so immediately so that seemed okay. Then«she«came back. We both ordered a vodka and tonic drink but were informed they only had Grey Goose more informed that would be considered a premium brand, we both said okay no problem. she then returned and said that they ran out and would only have enough for one drink so I said okay fine I will have absolute. Check out the drink size in those pictures. Chips and salsa arrive and the salsa was pretty good, so we asked for more. We were then informed that the tiny bowl that they offer would be an additional $ 1.75. What??? Whatever so we did not order it any additional. In terms of food, I ordered the chicken fajita tacos and my husband ordered a half order of chicken fajita nachos. Please see the pictures also if you want to see how ridiculous the servings are here. The chicken fajita nachos consisted of four chips for around eight dollars and my order was even worse, the salt was so thick in the meat was so burnt, it was like chicken jerky. Our«waitress» had the personality of lineman. Her disposition was more of a copperhead. Our tab came to $ 37 and that is a total disgrace, we gave her $ 40 and I really regret giving her the change. I told her this is with the worst restaurant I had ever been to and that Taco Bell would put them to shame and I had no clue how they’ve stayed open for a short duration I believed was one year but she corrected me and said«we been here for two years«she said that’s fine. The food was so bad that I would not even consider bringing home any of the leftover meat to our dogs, that’s right our dogs because it was absolutely disgusting and overpriced. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. We will never go back ever again, I will take my chances at Taco Bell and horsemeat

Oh I just wasted $ 20!!! Terrible service. …I will never come back… not that they would care. These people here now can’t own this place. They acted as if I was putting them out. The food was Ok but not something I would ever want again. I couldn’t eat it… ate some of the chicken out of the middle. If it is always like this I can’t believe they are still in business.

Good lunch! We had the Brisket tacos and Tostadas. The tortillas were homemade on the tacos. We had the sopapillas for dessert. They were homemade and delicious!!!

This place is delicious! Sure, not Joe T. Garcia’s amazing, but for the town it’s in, I’d definitely recommend it. :-) I absolutely LOVE their quesadillas because they put pico de gallo IN the quesadillas, giving it a really unique and tasty flavor. Also, they have karaōke most Saturday nights and that’s super fun! :-)

We sat on the patio and enjoyed the pleasant fall weather. I had been craving Mexican food and the Raul’s Special(a couple of enchiladas, a taco, rice and beans for around $ 8) hit the spot. My wife raved about her quesadillas, our margaritas were great, and even though we were the only ones sitting outside, the wait staff still remembered to check on us. We’ll be back again during happy hour(3 – 7 p.m. every day I think) to try out some of the other menu items!

The first time we tried this place, the food was good but the service was pretty slow. Some friends of ours came in 10 minutes after we sat down and sat at a table a couple of places down. A guy came out of the kitchen, took their order and went back in the kitchen. 30 minutes later another person came up to their table and asked them if they could take their order, omg! Really? We were paying by then, which by the way, their credit card machine was down and we all had to pay cash. Our friends had to leave without eating because we all had to get back to work. Two days later I was with another group of co-workers who really wanted Mexican food and didn’t want to drive too far so I reluctantly went back. We were sat immediately, a party of ten. There were several people who came in after us. The server went around and took the orders of every table before getting our orders. It took 40 minutes to get our average tasting food. This place is terrible! They added a 15% tip on for being a large party and trust me, no one left anything extra after that bad service. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Food is average, service is horrible. When the manager was ringing me up and asked me how everything was. I told her about the delayed order taking and the poor service. She shrugged and said, «I’ll talk to my kitchen staff.» Ah, ok but wouldn’t it have been better if you would have paid attention what was going on instead of standing back by the bar the whole time talking to some guy who looked like he worked there also. It’s ok lady, we won’t interrupt your restaurant again with a big party or a small one ever again. Two strikes, you’re out! This ain’t baseball.
